Goblin Dependency

Chapter 1165 - 576: Difficult Escape and Interrogation

  • Next Chapter

With the addition of Xia Nan, Alton, and the two elite adventurer teams "Furious Tide Battle Gang" and "Wind Forger," the situation at the port that was initially leaning towards the Sha Hua Fishmen was instantly pulled back.

As a Minstrel favored by the Goddess of fortune, the role the little guy could play on such a large battlefield goes without saying. After assisting Lorin in beheading the Fishman Commander, Xia Nan directly dived beneath the sea, once again breaking through the guards’ protection and successively assassinating Priest spellcasters.

This not only alleviated the pressure on the adventurers, who found it difficult to cooperate and form a united front under the Fishmen’s attack, but also greatly boosted the morale of our own camp.

The strength of the seniors and the combat skills as adventurers were able to be fully displayed as the battlefield rhythm gradually came under control.

In just over ten minutes, all the Sha Hua Fishmen that rushed to the port were wiped out.

"Huff... huff..."

Blood and sweat mixed and dripped slowly along the tattoo delineated lines on the skin surface, splattering into a murky light red splash on the deck.

Barbarian Aken was breathing heavily, his eyes glazed over slightly from overexertion after the battle, appearing unfocused, while the large ax blade in the shape of a ship anchor rested against the ground, his right hand tightly gripping the ax handle and trembling slightly.

In front was a ferocious Shark Beast that had already died, its body covered with wounds.

As a powerful demon summoned by the Fishmen, this big guy that leaped onto the deck single-handedly withstood the Vengeance Blade crew’s siege.

Even though most of the core crew were in a weakened state after the Secret Realm, the wound bleeding down the center of Barbarian Aken’s chest, the bruise near Striped Catman Sasha’s shoulder, and the three sailor corpses being collected by teammates were enough to prove its strength.

Fortunately, the battle had concluded, and with the help of the two suddenly entering adventurer teams, there was no need to handle the Fishmen below the ship’s side, allowing the Vengeance Blade crew to finally kill the ferocious demon.

His pupils still carried the fiery red glow unique to a Barbarian’s rage; Aken casually took a salve handed to him by a sailor nearby and roughly applied it twice on his chest wound, concluding his treatment.

Thanks to the powerful physique bestowed by race and profession, these injuries, which looked particularly severe but did not harm his insides, could self-heal in just a few days.

Turning around, Aken glanced at his teammates on the deck.

The two at the backline, Druid Hai Yin and archer Sarisa, did not suffer any injuries during the battle due to their positional roles. The former appeared pale due to excessive casting in the weakened state after the Secret Realm, sitting by the ship’s side while pouring medicine into his mouth.

The twin warriors Rein and Gordon suffered some minor injuries, applying medicine and wrapping bandages on each other while directing the crew on the deck to tidy up.

Ellison and Striped Catman Sasha, after the battle on the Vengeance Blade ended, went to support other adventurers at the dock. They appeared a bit fatigued but thankfully only suffered minor injuries.

As for Captain Lorin...

Barbarian Aken stood on the deck, gazing towards the direction of the dock below.

What he saw was the corpse of the mighty and savage Sha Hua Fishman Commander, which nearly wiped out most of the adventurers on Stodd Island, and standing beside it were Lorin and a young Black haired Adventurer.

Aken recalled the mentions by Striped Catman and Sarisa about Xia Nan’s feats in the Secret Realm as soon as he regained control of his body from the ritual, knowing how crucial a role Xia Nan played inside.

To some extent, if it weren’t for Xia Nan, perhaps "Algae Scale" Dodd would have completed his promotion by now, and they would have perished on this island.

Unlike now, where there’s still a glimmer of hope.

For some reason, right after the battle ended and his mind went blank, Barbarian Aken suddenly recalled the scene when the other first boarded the ship.

Who could have imagined back then that this very young Black haired Adventurer would play such a vital role in the near future?

Of course, Xia Nan wouldn’t know what the Vengeance Blade crew members were thinking at that moment; he was currently discussing the next plan with Lorin, Iron Grid, Sefeng, and the other team captains at the port.

Firstly, regarding the Fishmen’s leftover equipment loot at the port, it would naturally be distributed reasonably based on the contribution of each adventurer group.

However, now was evidently not the time to discuss these matters, so they were temporarily set aside to be handled once the event completely concluded.

The few were currently discussing the subsequent action plan.

"Sorry, our team suffered heavy losses and won’t be participating in the follow-up."

"Don’t worry, I’ll gather people and spread everything that happened on the island, including ’Algae Scale’ Dodd’s actions."

"In less than half a month, the entire Southern Islands will know about his deeds."

The speaker was a middle-aged man with a sullen face; Xia Nan didn’t remember his specific name, but the team had some professionals with professional levels ranging from Level 2 to Level 3.

In fact, based on the losses suffered by the other team, they could only be ranked in the middle tier among the adventurer groups at the entire port’s dock.
