Chapter 369: Chapter 15: The New Defense System
Lin Hao nodded, his eyes flashing with eagerness for the new technology. "I’ll lead the team in conducting in-depth research and aim to apply the latest technological breakthroughs in the expansion plan."
Ye Yun turned to Zhou Mei and Leo. "Task Six, the ruins exploration mission, will require your wisdom and courage. I trust you can lead the team to find and acquire valuable technology and resources."
Zhou Mei and Leo acknowledged their orders and promised, "We’ll plan meticulously to ensure the team’s safety while recovering as many treasures from the ruins as possible."
Finally, Ye Yun looked to Bena. "Task Seven, the defense enhancement mission, will require your strategy and execution. Ensure the shelter’s safety is never compromised."
Bena replied with determination, "I will assemble a team, draw up a detailed defense plan, and make the shelter’s defenses impregnable."
With their assignments from Ye Yun, the three teams began their respective missions. Each team understood their responsibilities and was ready to contribute everything to the shelter’s future.
Lin Hao stood in the center of the lab, facing a massive electronic screen that displayed complex data and charts. His team members gathered around him, each person’s attention fixed on the information it showed.
"First, we need to understand the properties of these new materials," Lin Hao began, assigning tasks. "Amy, you’re in charge of collecting data on the materials’ physical and chemical properties."
"Understood, Lin Hao." Amy quickly jotted down the key points of her task before turning and heading toward the data bank.
"Dr. Zhang, you and your team will research the new materials’ manufacturing process. We need to find a viable production method," Lin Hao continued.
Dr. Zhang nodded. "Understood. We’ll complete the research as quickly as possible."
"Engineer Li, you and your team will run combat simulations to test our new defense technology," Lin Hao said, turning to a young engineer.
"Roger that. We’ll construct a virtual battlefield to simulate real-world defense scenarios," Engineer Li replied.
Lin Hao surveyed the lab, then said, "Is everyone clear on their assignments? Our goal is to develop a highly efficient and secure defense solution. Now, let’s get to work!"
At Lin Hao’s command, the lab immediately burst into activity. The researchers dove into their respective tasks, filling the room with a tense but orderly atmosphere.
A few hours later, Amy returned to Lin Hao’s side carrying a thick file. "Lin Hao, here’s the data we’ve collected on the new materials’ properties."
Lin Hao took the file and began reviewing it carefully. "Excellent. This data is crucial for understanding the new materials’ properties."
Meanwhile, Dr. Zhang’s team had also made progress. "Lin Hao, we’ve discovered a potential manufacturing process. The material can be processed under special high-temperature and high-pressure conditions."
"This is a major breakthrough," Lin Hao said excitedly. "We need to verify this further and figure out how to scale this process for mass production."
Engineer Li’s team also had results from their virtual combat scenarios. "Lin Hao, we’ve simulated several different defense strategies. We’ve found that combining the new materials with the energy conversion technology can drastically increase defensive efficiency."
"Good. We’ll factor those strategies into our planning," Lin Hao nodded. "But we also need to be mindful that deploying new technology could impact the environment and the lives of our residents. We need to find a method that is both defensively effective and environmentally sound."
As their research progressed, Lin Hao and his team uncovered more and more about the new materials and defense technologies. They learned that under certain conditions, the material could self-repair—a massive advantage for defensive fortifications. Furthermore, the new energy conversion technology could provide the defense system with a stable and powerful source of power.
Lin Hao and the team began designing a new type of defense system, one that would leverage the new material’s self-repairing properties and the power from the new energy conversion technology to build an impregnable line of defense.
Back in the lab, the researchers constantly tested and optimized these new designs. They simulated a variety of combat scenarios, from urban ruins to desolate mountains, to ensure the new strategies would function effectively in any environment.
"Lin Hao, the design for our new defense system is ready," Dr. Zhang said, walking over with a set of blueprints.
Lin Hao took the blueprints and inspected them carefully. "Excellent. Let’s go run a test."
They proceeded to the lab’s testing area, which was configured to simulate various combat environments. Lin Hao looked over the blueprints one last time.
"Initiate defense system simulation," Lin Hao ordered.
The simulated scene on the screen immediately sprang to life. On the virtual battlefield, the new defense system demonstrated astounding capabilities. Whether faced with powerful mutated creatures or attacks from hostile factions, the system held its ground without fail.
"Success!" the researchers cheered.
Lin Hao smiled, setting down the blueprints. "We’ve finally found an effective means of defense. Now, we need to translate these results into a practical deployment."
Afterward, Lin Hao reported his findings to Ye Yun and requested that a construction team be assembled to implement these new strategies and technologies in the shelter’s defensive fortifications.
Ye Yun was highly impressed by the achievements of Lin Hao and his research team. He quickly assembled a construction crew comprised of experienced engineers and architects. Under Lin Hao’s guidance, the crew members learned how to use the new materials and energy conversion technology, familiarizing themselves with the new defense strategies.
