Global Shelter Game
Chapter 359 - 9: Medical Innovation
Chapter 359: Chapter 9: Medical Innovation
As the missions progressed, the shelter’s residents once again felt the power of unity and cooperation. Through their combined efforts, their home had become more medically advanced, with richer educational resources and a more beautiful environment.
With the completion of the new missions, the shelter’s strength had been significantly enhanced. Innovations in medical technology improved the quality of healthcare, the expansion of educational channels increased residents’ learning opportunities, and environmental beautification projects made the shelter more livable.
Ye Yun expressed high praise for the completion of the missions. He knew these achievements would have been impossible without the hard work and contributions of every single resident. During a general assembly, Ye Yun delivered a passionate speech:
"My dear residents, we have once again proven the power of unity. It is only through our combined efforts that we were able to overcome countless difficulties and achieve what we have today. Our shelter has grown stronger, our home more beautiful. I want to express my most sincere gratitude to every single person who has contributed to this shelter."
The residents responded with thunderous applause, their eyes gleaming with pride and hope. They knew that as long as they remained united, there was no difficulty they couldn’t overcome.
Ye Yun continued, "However, we cannot grow complacent. The Wasteland World is full of unknowns and challenges. We must continuously improve our capabilities to face whatever the future may hold. And so, we have new missions to complete."
In this challenging Wasteland World, the residents of the shelter would continue to stand united, working together to face new challenges and create an even more brilliant future.
Ye Yun reviewed the new missions. ’He knew how important each one was to the shelter.’ He immediately summoned Lin Hao, Zhou Mei, Leo, and Bena to discuss how to delegate the tasks and ensure each would be executed effectively, safeguarding the shelter’s security and continued development.
"Lin Hao, New Mission Eleven, ’Technological Fusion,’ will require your expertise," Ye Yun said, addressing Lin Hao first. "I need you to lead this effort to advance our technological capabilities."
Lin Hao nodded seriously. "I’ll assemble the research team at once. We’ll analyze the mysterious creatures’ technology, extract anything of value, and begin integrating and applying it."
Ye Yun turned to Zhou Mei and Leo. "New Mission Twelve, ’Cultural Development,’ is vital for improving the residents’ quality of life. You two will be responsible for establishing cultural facilities and enriching their spiritual lives."
Zhou Mei and Leo nodded in understanding and promised, "We’ll organize a cultural team, plan the construction of the facilities, and arrange various cultural activities. We’ll make sure our shelter is not only rich in material goods but is spiritually fulfilling as well."
Finally, Ye Yun looked to Bena. "New Mission Thirteen, ’Ecological Balance,’ will need your strategic and executive skills. Your job is to ensure the shelter’s environment is sustainable."
Bena replied resolutely, "I’ll form an environmental team and draw up an ecological protection plan. We will ensure our shelter coexists in harmony with the natural environment."
With Ye Yun’s assignments made, the three teams began their respective tasks. Each team understood its responsibilities and was ready to contribute to the shelter’s future.
Lin Hao stood before the lab’s control console, his eyes glued to the analysis data of the mysterious creatures’ technology displayed on the screen. His team members bustled around him—some observed samples under microscopes, some recorded experimental data, and others calibrated lab equipment.
"Dr. Lin, we’ve completed a full analysis of the creatures’ unique energy structure," Energy Engineer Li reported to Lin Hao. "The energy conversion efficiency of this structure is extremely high. If we can apply it to our power systems, it will drastically improve our energy utilization."
Lin Hao nodded. "Excellent. Engineer Li, have your team take charge of integrating this energy structure. We need to master its application as quickly as possible."
Engineer Li accepted his orders and departed, his eyes glinting with a passion for science and a thirst for the challenge. His team immediately dove into their work, using high-precision instruments to simulate and test the energy structure, attempting to merge it with their existing power systems.
Meanwhile, the biologist, Dr. Zhang, was also reporting his team’s progress to Lin Hao. "Lin Hao, we’ve also reached a preliminary understanding of the creatures’ unique gene sequence. It seems to be related to their environmental adaptability. If we can apply it to crop improvement, we might be able to cultivate new strains better suited for the wasteland environment."
Lin Hao encouraged him, "Dr. Zhang, you and your team continue researching this technology. We need to develop agricultural biotech that’s suited for our shelter."
Dr. Zhang nodded and immediately led his team deeper into their research of the unique gene sequence. They conducted numerous gene-editing and crop-improvement experiments in the lab, observing how the modified plants performed under different environmental conditions.
Under Lin Hao’s leadership, the research team split into two groups, one focusing on the new energy structure and the other on agricultural biotechnology. They worked day and night, continually making breakthroughs.
A few days later, Engineer Li’s team was the first to achieve a breakthrough. They had successfully applied the new energy structure to the power system and completed a successful test in the laboratory.
