Chapter 357: Chapter 8: New Tasks
Finally, Ye Yun turned to Leo. "New Mission Sixty-Four, Cultural Heritage Preservation, requires your cultural insight. Leo, we need you to lead the survey of our cultural heritage and develop a protection plan."
Leo responded resolutely. "I’ll assemble a team of cultural and historical experts to conduct a comprehensive survey of the shelter’s cultural heritage and create an effective plan to ensure it’s all properly preserved."
Following Ye Yun’s arrangements, the three teams began their respective missions. Each team understood their responsibility and was ready to do their part for the shelter’s future.
Lin Hao led the team of education experts and began improving the children’s curriculum. They introduced more interactive and hands-on activities, allowing the children to learn through play.
"Our curriculum will inspire the children’s curiosity and their spirit of exploration," Lin Hao said during a meeting on educational reform. "This is key to nurturing our future leaders."
Zhou Mei led the healthy living promotion team, which began by planning related educational events. They also established athletic and recreational facilities to encourage residents to participate in physical exercise and other fun activities.
"We need to ensure every resident can enjoy a healthy and happy life," Zhou Mei said at a meeting for the healthy living initiative. "This is the foundation for improving our residents’ quality of life."
Leo’s team of cultural and historical experts began surveying cultural heritage sites and drafting a protection plan. At the same time, they launched a series of cultural activities to help residents understand and participate in the preservation efforts.
"Preserving our cultural heritage will help our residents better understand their own history and culture," Leo said during a cultural preservation meeting. "This is a vital way for us to pass on our culture and strengthen our sense of identity."
As the missions progressed, the shelter’s residents once again felt the power of unity and cooperation. Through their combined efforts, their home became a place with a greater focus on child development, resident health, and cultural preservation.
Upon the completion of the new missions, the shelter’s capabilities were significantly enhanced. Improved education began cultivating a more outstanding next generation, the promotion of healthy living improved the residents’ quality of life, and the implementation of cultural heritage protection made the shelter’s culture richer and more diverse.
Ye Yun highly praised the completion of all the missions. He knew these achievements would not have been possible without the hard work and contribution of every resident. At a general assembly, Ye Yun gave a passionate speech:
"My dear residents, we have once again proven the power of unity. It is because of everyone’s combined efforts that we have been able to overcome so many difficulties and achieve what we have today. Our shelter has grown stronger, and our home more beautiful. For this, I want to express my most sincere gratitude to every single person who has contributed."
The residents responded with thunderous applause, their eyes shining with pride and hope. They knew that as long as they remained united, there was no difficulty they couldn’t overcome.
Ye Yun continued, "However, we cannot grow complacent. The wasteland is full of unknowns and challenges. We must constantly improve our capabilities to face any situation that may arise. And so, we have new missions to complete."
The residents of the shelter would continue to stand united, working together to face new challenges and create an even more brilliant future.

Ye Yun reviewed the new missions, fully understanding the importance of each one to the shelter. He immediately summoned Lin Hao, Zhou Mei, Leo, and Bena to discuss how to delegate the tasks and ensure each mission would be executed effectively, safeguarding the shelter’s security and development.
"Bena," Ye Yun began, addressing him first, "New Mission Sixty-Five, Energy Self-Sufficiency, requires your experience in energy management. We need you to lead the development of our renewable energy projects to achieve complete self-sufficiency."
