Chapter 436: Chapter 30: Purge, New Slime

「Titan Race Ministry of Internal Affairs」

Sankrug: "Your Highness, we have reclaimed Bear Peak Territory. All the rebels have been driven out."

Sankrug: "Our casualty ratio to the civilians was approximately 3:2. The higher losses on our side were mainly because we were the attackers and took heavy ranged fire while assaulting the city. In close combat, the casualty ratio was nearly 1:1."

Sankrug: "From this battle, we’ve gathered a great deal of intelligence on those Golden Warriors."

Sankrug: "They..."

...

Sankrug: "Based on the various test data, we speculate that the Golden Warriors are Legendary Tier Soldiers."

After hearing Sankrug’s report, all the lords fell into deep thought. The results of the analysis were even worse than they had imagined.

Diados: "Do we know where these troops came from?"

Sankrug: "Our undercover agents haven’t obtained any intelligence regarding the troops."

Sankrug: "However, reviewing the intelligence they submitted, we found that starting last month, Kazaria and the other core leaders told the Civilian Lords to lay low and focus on development."

Sankrug: "We speculate they acquired the building to recruit these soldiers last month and have been lying in wait, developing their strength and amassing forces."

Diados: "There are too many..."

Sankrug: "Too many what?"

Diados: "I mean, there are too many of those soldiers."

Sankrug: "But the numbers weren’t that high."

Diados: "No, I mean there are too many lords who possess those soldiers."

Diados: "Judging by the videos you sent back, during the attack and the retreat, it’s clear that those Golden Warriors belong to different lords."

Diados: "The problem is, there are simply too many of these lords involved."

...

All the lords at the meeting quickly reviewed the video. Judging by the troop movements of the Civilian Lords and the buffs cast on the Golden Warriors during battle, the Golden Warriors did indeed belong to different lords.

Sankrug: "My apologies, Your Highness. It was our oversight. We never considered that such soldiers could belong to different lords and overlooked this crucial piece of information."

Diados: "Be more careful next time. Even a minor oversight in intelligence can cause immense harm in subsequent battles."

Diados: "The Civilian Lords have acquired these Golden Warriors in large numbers, and by showcasing them so publicly this time, they’ve proven that they actually have even more hidden away."

Diados: "Looks like the little mice have accidentally grown into elephants!"

Diados: "Have all lords strengthen their defenses. Dailuo Ke’s side has achieved a major victory with this move. The Civilian Lords are very likely to continue attacking other lords."

Diados: "Also, their leader Kazaria’s spatial teleportation is too much of a problem. We must find an opportunity to eliminate him."

Diados: "Organize our forces immediately. We need to sweep through the territories of the Civilian Lords we’ve discovered and shrink their area of operation."

Diados: "I originally wanted to find them all and wipe them out in one go, but it seems we’ll have to eliminate them bit by bit now."

Diados: "If necessary, we can sacrifice some of our informants."

...

Diados made his decision. Since these Civilian Lords had the audacity to shit on their heads, he couldn’t indulge them any longer. No more skirmishes; it was time to crush them completely.

Given that the Civilian Lords now possessed advanced troops capable of rivaling their own, the heroes the nobles had kept hidden would also need to be deployed. At the same time, they had to be mindful of their defenses.

Just as the Noble Lords of the Titan Race launched a unified cleanup operation against the Civilian Lords, in the south of the Titan Continent, a growing number of Slimes were causing a massive headache for all the lords there.

Seeing that the Slime Monsters in their territories had multiplied to the point of nearly overrunning everything, they didn’t dare secretly move them into the lands of high-ranking or top-tier nobles. They could only watch as the number of Slime Monsters continued to grow.

Knowing a Slime Monster siege was inevitable, and with the recent events involving the Civilian Lords, everyone felt extremely anxious.

After some discussion, they decided to launch a joint operation to eliminate the Slime Monsters.

To this end, each of these lords borrowed advanced war machines from the central lords.

Since the central lords also needed these war machines for themselves during the Civilian Lords’ counterattack, the southern lords had to pay a hefty price in resources as a rental fee.

So, while the central Noble Lords on the Titan Continent were leading their vassals in a cleanup operation against the Civilian Lords, the Noble Lords in the south were also launching their own cleanup operation against the Slimes.

...

Ronnie was the first lord to kick off this cleanup operation.

His territory, Silver Fox Land, was closest to the lands occupied by the Slimes. As a result, his territory had the highest number of Slimes and was nearest to saturation.

Ronnie stood at the base of his city wall, looking at the swarms of wriggling jelly below, and felt utterly disgusted.

He used to quite like soft, squishy creatures, but now the very sight of a soft-bodied animal annoyed him.

The activities of the Slime Monsters had brought his territory’s development to a standstill.

Because of this, he had been forced to tear down some buildings within the city to use the land for farming, just to keep his people from starving.

He’d long been fed up with these Slime Monsters, but he was afraid he couldn’t defeat them. So, he could only secretly expand his city walls, increasing the city’s area to create more farmland.

Now that the surrounding lords had decided to attack the Slime Monsters together, and with the addition of the rented war machines, he finally felt bold enough to act.
