Global Lords: My Territory Heart Is a World Tree

Chapter 432: Chapter 28: Spreading the Faith for the Goddess (Part 2)
"The main forces of the Noble Lords on the Central Continent are currently tied down by us. That’s how you were able to catch them off guard and conquer a few of their territories."
"If you refuse our proposal, we’ll just join forces with the Noble Lords and attack you."
"At that point, you’ll have to face our combined assault, and your defeat will be absolute."
Al laughed. "I think you need to get something straight. You’re the one here begging us for an alliance, not the other way around."
"You’d better fix that attitude. I won’t kill you, but missing an arm or a leg shouldn’t stop you from delivering a message back home, right?"
"You..." Mica jumped from his seat in shock. "Didn’t you say you’re a noble who values his honor?"
"That’s right. As a noble, how could I possibly let a commoner like you threaten me? Tearing off an arm or a leg is no big deal!"
Al’s retort left Mica speechless. Forget that they weren’t on the Titan Race’s homeworld—even in a city there, a commoner who offended a noble would count himself lucky to only be crippled. The noble would even be praised by others for being magnanimous.
Indignant, he stormed toward the reception hall’s doors, intending to leave.
"Hold on, I’m not done talking," Al’s lazy voice called out from behind him.
"You want to humiliate me further?" Mica shot him a glare.
"Not at all. Our lord thinks you’re still somewhat useful and has decided to help you strengthen your forces."
"See these Scrolls? They’re for Legendary Buildings, which can recruit Legendary-grade troops. This will massively boost your strength."
As he spoke, Al pulled a stack of golden Temple of the Goddess of Wisdom and War blueprints from his clothes and brandished them.
"What are those?" Al’s words made Mica stop in his tracks.
"Divine Hall blueprints. Once built, you can recruit Legendary-grade Temple Guards. They’re extremely powerful, able to..."
Al gave a brief explanation, taking the opportunity to greatly exaggerate the strength of the Temple Guards.
"You’re being that generous? Why aren’t you using such a great building for yourselves?"
Mica was skeptical. If these things were really that good, he didn’t believe anyone would be foolish enough to just give them away.
"My lord has no use for it!" Al said nonchalantly. "Do you really think my lord is lacking a Legendary Building?"
"Each territory can only build one of these Divine Halls, and we don’t have that many territories. Besides, for us, one more Legendary Building barely increases our strength at all."
"I don’t believe you!" Mica was still unconvinced. No lord would turn their nose up at a Legendary Building. Even if they didn’t use it themselves, they could trade it with others of their race for a ton of resources.
Seeing that Mica was completely unmoved, Al didn’t panic. He simply said in an unhurried tone, "It’s not like we’re forcing you to construct this building."
"My lord is merciful. He can’t bear to see you civilians suffer and wanted to lend a hand. If you don’t want to accept, we won’t be the ones to offer kindness only to be snubbed."
"If you don’t want this aid, then you can just leave."
Hearing Al’s words, Mica didn’t hesitate, turning and leaving the reception hall.
’Hmph, I came here to negotiate an alliance, not to beg for handouts!!’
’Still, a Legendary-grade building... It feels like a waste not to take it...’
’From the way Al described it, it sounds so powerful. With this new troop type, our strength would increase dramatically.’
’I wonder how many of them they’re planning to give us...’
...
Lost in thought, Mica slowed to a stop. He glanced back at the reception hall. He’d accomplished nothing on this trip to negotiate an alliance. If he could bring back some Legendary-grade building blueprints, maybe he could make up for his failure.
And so, gritting his teeth, he steeled his resolve, turned around, and walked back into the reception hall.
Inside the reception hall, Al was packing up to leave when he ran right into Mica walking back in.
"Well now, didn’t you already leave? What are you doing back?" Al’s tone was dripping with mockery.
’Trying to make me leave in a huff? So I won’t get the aid?’
Mica thought to himself.
"I’m back for the aid. What? Are you trying to embezzle what your lord is giving us?"
Mica’s words were surprisingly self-righteous. He then asked his question: "How many of these Legendary-grade building blueprints is your lord prepared to give us?"
"You think I’d be interested in such petty gains? Besides, how could there be a lot of Legendary-grade building blueprints?"
"There’s only one!"
Mica grew anxious. "That’s not right! I clearly saw you pull out a thick stack just now, and you’re only giving us one?"
"And you say you’re not embezzling?"
"No, no, you saw wrong. There’s only one."
"You need proof to back up your words. Don’t just make baseless claims, or I might not even give you this one," Al said, denying it over and over.
"You..." Furious, Mica snatched the blueprint from Al’s hand and left.
"Hey~! If you find it works well, you can come back and buy more from me! Ten Thousand Points each, with a discount for bulk orders, you know!"
Hearing this, Mica walked away even faster.
Watching Mica’s retreating figure, Al couldn’t help but smile, secretly admiring his lord’s brilliant plan.
Lin Yu was also very satisfied watching this unfold. This way, as soon as the Divine Halls were built and the Temple Guards were recruited, the Civilian Lords would definitely be unable to resist coming to buy the blueprints.
He had asked Yun Qihao about the strength of the Temple Guards, and they were incredibly powerful.
As the saying goes, a desperate seller makes no sale. If he had just given all the blueprints from the Goddess to those lords for free, they certainly would have been too suspicious to use them.
Now, the tables had turned. Soon, they would be the ones coming to beg him.
