Global Lords: I Have Information System
Chapter 1159 - 617: 23 Events of Lentax Giant City [5K]_2
As they walked down the steps into the passage, about thirty to forty meters underground, it suddenly opened up.
Here, several narrow passageways and stone chambers were carved out.
The passageway branches off extensively, and no one knows exactly where it might lead.
On the bluestone walls of the passage, a green leaf is painted, with an eye prominently in its center.
At intervals, a thick branch extends from the wall, with a fist-sized fruit hanging from its end, constantly emitting a white glow.
This is the illumination within the passage.
Inside one of the stone chambers, a tall man covered in wounds was tied to a wooden stake.
A handsome elf man with gold hair held a blood-stained green vine whip.
Behind him sat two beautiful high elf women.
They wore silver-white light armor, each holding a peculiar silver-gray mask.
Bright yellow hair draped past their shoulders, with their distinct elf pointed ears particularly noticeable. The one with longer hair seemed more dignified, while the one with shorter hair appeared more lively.
The short-haired elf girl looked at the tall man, then turned to the long-haired elf woman.
"Eira sister, it’s been seven days, and this human still refuses to reveal the slave hiding place?"
The dignified elf girl named Eira calmly turned her head.
"I’m more interested in how he learned about the Eye of the Elf gathering from a week ago."
"Perhaps there’s involvement from some nobles."
"Most importantly, that incident was an opportunity. I’m worried that some compatriots have been corrupted and leaked information."
"By the way, Heya, the giant city suddenly went into lockdown recently. Did you hear anything?"
Heya shook her head, idly putting on the mask.
She instantly transformed from a beautiful high elf woman into a middle-aged woman in her thirties or forties.
Her signature pointed ears and beautiful gold hair vanished.
"According to Kashu, it seems the Pandragon Royal Family’s Second Prince has arrived."
"And that Marquis of Lancaster is nothing but a henchman of the Second Prince."
"You know, the Third Princess is now in control of those giant cities along the eastern coast."
"Since we’re near the east, it must be for power struggles."
Heya adjusted her mask, her body moving with agility as she left the stone chamber.
"So, dear Eira sister, I’ll leave the interrogation of this slave merchant to you and Saloyan brother!"
"I’m heading out for a bit, I’m getting suffocated here!"
"I’ll check if there’s any news from the mice in the fourth layer!"
The crisp voice gradually faded, echoing within the passage.
Eira helplessly shook her head, once again looking at the elf man standing ahead.
"Saloyan, give this human a sip of Moonlight Spring, he’s fainted again."
"By the way, we owe much of the information on these slave merchants’ operations to another human."
"Thinking back, he likely was aware of our identities from the start."
"In a few days, I feel it’s necessary to send someone to make contact."
The male elf holding the green vine whip, named Saloyan, turned around.
He wiped the sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand.
The green vine whip in his hand was about thumb-thick, the surface covered in hook-like thorns.
It was already soaked with blood.
As the whip hung down, drops of dark red blood dripped and flowed onto the ground.
"Eira, this slave merchant sure is tight-lipped!"
"He refuses to disclose the true slave hiding place!"
"The locations he mentioned earlier only had some human slaves."
"But judging from his goals, he’s clearly a slave hunter targeting the Elf Race."
"Who knows how many compatriots fell into his hands, becoming mere playthings."
Saloyan gritted his teeth as he spoke.
The calm and solemn Eira also furrowed her brows.
"We can only continue with the interrogation!"
"Furthermore, what concerns me more is how he learned about the Eye of the Elf gathering, has he explained this?"
Eira asked in a serious tone.
Saloyan hesitated for a moment before responding.
"He... he said he overheard a man speaking in a settlement in the wilderness."
"But he can’t provide more details, and he claims we should go there in person."
"I suspect he’s lying."
Upon hearing this, Eira fell into deep thought.
"A settlement in the wilderness..."
"A man...?"
"Could it really be such a coincidence?"
Unintentionally, she recalled passing by that settlement with an Ancient Guardian stationed when she rode a Horned Eagle Beast with Heya back from the Eastern Outpost to Lentax Giant City.
That man somehow sensed them peeping from the sky.
Without further ado, he raised a position crossbow and shot down the Horned Eagle Beast.
She knew about this slave merchant named Bamogo’s collusion with some minor nobles and private merchants with ill intent through that man.
"Could it really be such a coincidence?"
She murmured, unable to figure it out at the moment.
"Alright, Saloyan, give him the Moonlight Spring to drink."
"Don’t let this guy die."
"Pause the interrogation, give him two days to recover, send a team of Giant Eagle Knights and a team of Horned Eagle Shooters to follow him to find that man."
Eira spoke with some urgency in her voice.
To this, Saloyan merely nodded, hanging the blood-dripping vine whip on the wall nearby.
Fresh dark red blood flowed along the whip’s tip, overlapping with previous stains on the wall.
The earlier whipping had been yet another round of interrogations this week.
