Chapter 1140 - 611: Everything Ready, Leaving the Poison Swamp

After dealing with Blood Wolf Gujate and the Flying Tiger’s exterminator Little Flame Demon combo, Zong Shen finally relaxed a bit.

He always adhered to a strategy of simultaneous focus on multiple fronts.

Simply put, he wants it all!

The Little Flame Demon is crucial for bringing the Heat Wave Challenge to a successful conclusion.

The Black Dragon and the Poisonous Mist Swamp are key to enhancing the territory’s wealth and combat strength.

Taking over the Unclaimed Territory can quickly increase the population, heroes, and low to mid-tier soldiers, along with defense arrow towers.

He doesn’t want to miss out on any of these benefits.

After Zong Shen used the [Dragon Flute (Special)] to scare the Little Black Dragon once again.

Its loyalty finally rose above 60 points, barely stabilizing.

At least in the next few days, it would be willing to serve as his steed for travel.

After the Little Black Dragon took to the skies, it began to glide as per Zong Shen’s instructions.

They followed the locations of the smoke pillars to search.

Soon they spotted Favide’s whereabouts.

Favide was seen holding a [Soul Extraction Bottle (Purple)] extracting souls from the corpses one by one.

After extracting, the Lion Charge Knight and Wolf Cavalry following behind would drag the human corpses away to pile them up.

The horses and wargs were piled separately.

Hoy also came over at some point, using the [Hiking Merchant’s Badge (Purple)] to store the corpses of those grassland horses and beasts in its storage space.

This spared the trouble of specifically summoning Hoy.

Zong Shen originally planned to call Hoy over.

It seems that after the exercise in logistics and internal affairs, the territory’s response is becoming more efficient and proactive.

Zong Shen doesn’t have to personally attend to everything like a father.

The pelts and flesh of those horses and beasts can be recycled and reused.

The territory currently doesn’t have a stable food production method.

A large-scale farming plan is still in preparation.

The cultivation of sweet potato vines and agricultural technology preparations are not yet complete.

After recycling the corpses of these beasts and horses, they can serve as a meat supplement.

Near the whole Poison Swamp area, the number of their corpses is not small.

Zong Shen, riding on Xiaoheizi’s back, nodded in satisfaction.

Just as he was about to have it descend, the Communication Crystal on his chest suddenly lit up and vibrated as a prompt.

He looked down and took off the crystal, discovering it was a communication request from Jiang Yi.

"Hiss..."

"How did I forget about Jiang Yi?"

Zong Shen slapped his forehead.

The joy from taming the Greedy Handsome Guy and looting the Dragon Nest made him overlook Jiang Yi.

The two of them had agreed earlier to explore the Poison Swamp together.

Now, how should he handle this situation?

He clutched the Communication Crystal, feeling it vibrate, but didn’t connect right away.

After furrowing his brow, he decided to connect.

"Lord Zong, was the golden banner earlier because you tamed the Black Dragon?"

"What about the exploration of the Poison Swamp..."

As soon as the communication connected, Jiang Yi asked directly.

As expected, Jiang Yi indeed came for the Poison Swamp.

But the Dragon Nest has already been almost entirely plundered by me.

Including the treasure chest inside the Dragon Nest as well.

Currently, only more than a dozen scattered treasure chests remain in the Poison Swamp.

"Uh, that’s right."

"I’ve already scoured the Dragon Nest."

"I will come to your territory to distribute the spoils later."

"As for the distribution ratio..."

Zong Shen thought about it and decided to spare a small portion of the loot as a reward.

This includes a sum of Dinar and some treasure chests below Silver Level.

After all, the other party is the Deputy Legion Commander of the [Guides Corps] and his legion proxy.

Of course, Zong Shen isn’t worried about her using the legion to constrain him.

All who joined the [Guides Corps] came for Zong Shen’s reputation.

And for those few breakthrough actions and the golden banner.

As long as there is a legion with Zong Shen, that is the true [Guide].

He is the soul of the [Guides Corps].

Thus, Zong Shen isn’t worried at all.

The reason for decisively deciding to share the loot is naturally his own consideration.

Though this time Jiang Yi didn’t contribute much to the Poison Swamp expedition, he basically single-handedly got the Little Black Dragon.

But after all, there was a prior agreement, and Jiang Yi did inform in time, so he deserves to share a part of the gains as a reward.

He agreed quite readily, but before he finished speaking, Jiang Yi interrupted him.

"Lord... Since you have already scoured it, then the previous exploration agreement is void..."

Just as Zong Shen was ready to share the spoils, Jiang Yi took a step back voluntarily.

"No, you are the Deputy Legion Commander now, and also my agent."

"Your strength benefits the legion’s development."

"I will allocate it myself when the time comes."

"But I might not have time until tomorrow afternoon."

After speaking, Jiang Yi on the other side of the Communication Crystal was silent for a moment.

"Okay, thank you!"

"Then see you!"

Zong Shen shook his head and smiled, replying loudly

"See you then!"

"Seize the opportunity while the challenge is still on, killing more Little Flame Demons is the main task."

"Alright, I have things to do, so I’ll end here for now."

After speaking, he hung up the Communication Crystal, directing Xiaoheizi to descend.

As a Greedy Handsome Guy-type Lord.

It’s not entirely impossible for Zong Shen to share the spoils.

For example, with Jiang Yi, his choice to give benefits is fine, provided that they become a handsome guy on his pirate ship.

As his little entourage, becoming stronger and wealthier, it still indirectly increases his own strength.
