Chapter 3170: Ineffective

In the pitch-black domain, Fang Heng’s own domain power had fully fused with the strength released by the Everlasting Moon skill.
All thirty or so martial artists who had been hiding aboard the ship or had stepped into the domain were no different from lifeless objects in his eyes.
Every martial artist was instantly enveloped by the black aura. Their five senses were stripped away, and their consciousness sank into boundless, silent darkness.
Realizing they had been affected, some martial artists immediately tried to open their domain abilities to resist.
But it was useless!
Trapped within the endless black domain, none of them could perceive the fluctuations of other forces in the space, as if all other power in the world had been completely drained in an instant and replaced by an unseen strength.
This force was filled with silence. Under its influence, they lost all perception, yet they could feel their bodies being continuously gnawed at by creatures dwelling in the darkness, their vitality slowly draining away.
In that environment, they could not even sense the passage of time.
From the outside, the black sphere lasted only ten seconds before slowly shrinking.
Fang Heng stood at the center of the domain, sweat sliding down both sides of his face.
This was the first time he had attempted, after mastering his domain power, to consciously fuse the Everlasting Moon skill with his own domain.
The strength of the Everlasting Moon had reached a special mutation.
Fang Heng even suspected that long ago, Hila’s power might have been a type of domain, spreading its power across the entire world.
Before he could ponder further, his mental power was completely drained by the Everlasting Moon.
He could no longer sustain it.
Whoosh!!
The black sphere covering the entire ship rapidly shrank until it completely vanished.
Fang Heng immediately raised his hand, grasped the dozen or so God’s Blood Stones that had fallen to the ground, entered his soul body form, and swiftly withdrew outside the ship.
The Eternal Darkness Worm Domain dissipated, and the martial artists previously trapped within it became visible.
To onlookers, most of the martial artists were now covered in a layer of sticky blood and tiny worm bodies, their faces aged by decades compared to before.
In the next moment, the worms and blood on their bodies began to fall away like rot, revealing black skeletons.
"Ka-ka-ka-ka..."
The black skeletons slowly crumbled into dust under the astonished gazes of everyone present.
Only three martial artists had managed to break free from the sticky blood, gasping heavily and exchanging glances filled with fear.
Just moments ago, a group of high-tier martial artists had been hiding in ambush, locking onto Fang Heng’s position. They were suddenly enveloped by the explosive black aura, lost all perception, and instinctively unleashed their domain abilities to the limit, using all their defensive skills.
When they regained consciousness, only three of the ambushing squad of over thirty remained.
Every one of these thirty had been elite martial artists recruited by the spawns and had mastered domain abilities.
Yet in front of Fang Heng, they could not resist.
The remaining twenty or so martial artists, ambushing other ships and not yet having arrived for reinforcement, gasped and secretly felt lucky.
Fortunately, they had been far enough from the ship Fang Heng had entered, and had not reached the ambush in time.
Otherwise, their fate would have been no better.
Vampires!
Where had such a powerful individual appeared from?
Had he already reached God-level domain mastery?
Fear had taken hold in their hearts, and as Fang Heng’s domain dissipated and he escaped, no one dared to pursue.
"Report this to the spawns immediately."
"This boy must have some caution. He’s probably not at full strength!"
The captain of the lead martial arts team took a deep breath, forcing himself to pull his emotions from the near-death terror he had just felt. He said sternly, "Such a terrifying domain ability must have backlash. We should catch him while he is weak and take him out!"
The martial artists exchanged glances, but all remained rooted in place.
A joke.
Anyone could talk big.
But what if...?
Risking one’s life? Was it necessary?
The captain saw that no one would agree and guessed what they were thinking. In anger, he had no choice but to bite his teeth and accept it.
What else could he do?
Outside the ship, the Blue Lizard Clan saw the three heavily injured high-tier martial artists and the group of over ten, their eyes wide with astonishment.
"What about the others?"
The captain of the team swallowed and said, "They were sacrificed."
Although expected, hearing it firsthand from the martial artists still shook the Blue Lizard Clan deeply.
Vampires!
Single-handedly countering over thirty high-tier vampires in ambush, and killing so many at once?
"That one’s strength is immense. This is our best chance. Report to the spawns and launch an attack."
The Blue Lizard elder nodded slightly, signaling the clan to immediately contact the spawns.
"It seems the spawns do not trust the Evil Clan and had already prepared to confront the vampires."
Wu Yi’s tone carried a hint of displeasure. She shook her head and continued, "At this point, the Evil Clan will not interfere. One final reminder: the Core Flame Vein is extremely important to Helium research. It must not be compromised."
Before anyone could respond, a dark spatial vortex appeared in front of Wu Yi’s group, and they disappeared into it one by one.
...
In the underground cavern, Carl and Buller immediately rushed forward to greet Fang Heng upon his return.
"Your Majesty, are you all right?"
"I’m fine."
Fang Heng shook his head lightly.
The previous battle had not forced him to extend the Everlasting Moon’s duration, so his mental strength had not suffered backlash and had mostly recovered along the way.
"Sir, the spawns’ mechanical units have moved. A new offensive began five minutes ago."
"Very well. Organize the evacuation."
Carl’s expression turned serious, and he nodded sharply, "Understood!"
Fang Heng glanced at the game hints.
[Hint: Current world Black Fog density: 85.2392%.]
[Hint: Current domain Black Fog density: 100% (current upper limit).]
It was sufficient.
With the Black Fog density high enough, Abe Akaya could create a larger world teleportation passage.
The personnel in the catacomb would quickly evacuate the Core Flame Vein ore.
Fang Heng immediately headed to the lower levels.
Vampire elders had already gathered around the dimensional magic array and all saluted, "Your Majesty!"
"No need for formalities. Assist me in operating the magic array."
"Yes!"
Fang Heng stepped into the center of the magic array, activated his mental strength, and the phantom of the alchemy magic array spun rapidly in his right eye.
