Captain Zoran looked at Fang Heng leading a group of players toward him and smiled as he asked, "How is it? Did you find a suitable mission?"
"Captain, I have an idea. I want to work with you."
"Of course, no problem. Tell me, how do you want to cooperate?"
"Well, I just connected to the spawn’s mission mainframe and found that the Western District Federation issued a special mission. I mentioned it to you earlier. That mission is very important to me."
"I understand how you feel, but Fang Heng, I can’t speak for the Inspection Department. Is there anything I *can* do?"
"Yes."
Fang Heng nodded and said, "Your ship is currently on standby. What I’m saying is, if we can help you complete the reconstruction of the ship quickly, would you agree to pilot it and take me to the advanced game world’s main battlefield?"
Upon hearing this, Zoran and the ship engineer Pang Li, along with a few others, all fell silent.
Borrow their ship?
Was he serious?
They felt like Fang Heng was just painting a pretty picture.
Repairing the ship was not something that could be done overnight.
Captain Zoran was already optimistic, but even so, he had prepared to rest for half a year.
So young and reckless.
The military department personnel of the Federation sighed in their hearts.
In the silence, the deputy captain was the first to speak.
"Ahem, Fang Heng, what you said is theoretically possible, but there are still many problems to solve."
The deputy captain cleared his throat and explained, "First, the main body of the ship is still located in the center of the swarm gathering. Without the main body, ship repairs can’t even begin."
"Also, even if we clear out the swarm around the ship’s exterior and regain control, we still need to rebuild the ship. The ship suffered severe damage. Not to mention the time needed for repairs, many of the materials we need can’t be produced by ourselves. We have to spend contribution points to purchase them from the spawns..."
Engineer Pang Li nodded in agreement and said, "Also, after the ship is repaired, if we want to head to the advanced game world, the ship needs to undergo long-distance travel. That will consume a massive amount of energy. Our current stored energy is far from enough..."
"Hahaha."
After the initial shock, Captain Zoran quickly snapped out of it and laughed heartily, interrupting everyone. He looked at Fang Heng and nodded, "Fang Heng, I admire you. You remind me of when I was young. Fine, I agree to your cooperation request. My people will fully support you. As long as you can do it, my ship will immediately take you to the main battlefield."
"Thank you, Captain Zoran."
That sentence was all Fang Heng needed.
He nodded to Zoran, then turned to the players from the Western District Federation’s military department in the hall, "I might need your help later. I want to thank you in advance."
After speaking, under everyone’s gaze, Fang Heng waved and led Wayne and the other players away, leaving the ship’s high-level military officers staring at one another.
"Captain, he..."
Everyone looked at Captain Zoran, confused.
Captain Zoran had always been known for his steadiness—why did he suddenly go crazy together with Fang Heng?
"No need to say more."
Captain Zoran raised his hand and said, "Anyway, we don’t have anything else to do while we’re here. If Fang Heng really has this plan, helping him isn’t a problem."
"Moreover..."
Zoran paused and looked in the direction Fang Heng had left.
"Even if there’s only a one-in-ten-thousand chance that he succeeds, and the ship enters the main battlefield to provide support, we have nothing to lose."
Everyone fell silent.
One in ten thousand?
Wasn’t that giving Fang Heng way too much credit? This was something completely impossible!
Zoran also thought it was impossible.
But deep down, he had a strange premonition.
Fang Heng might actually be able to pull it off.
Just like when he was young—
Daring to dream, daring to fight, carving a way out of desperate situations!
Meanwhile, Fang Heng had left the ship.
Zaka thought Mr. Fang was crazy.
Even crazier was that the Federation agreed to this plan?
Arkley felt battle-ready and excited.
These people had no sense at all.
They doubted the ancestor of the vampires?
"All right, we’ll split into teams. Wayne, you take some people and prepare to transport the ship parts. The rest come with me to clear out the swarm from the ship’s main body area."
"Understood!"
Just as Fang Heng was leaving with his group, a young military officer ran out from the ship.
Nairn looked around, not seeing Fang Heng, then asked Wayne, who was about to head back, "Where’s Mr. Fang Heng?"
"He went to the front line."
"What?" Nairn was stunned. "The front line?"
"Oh, the ship’s main body area." Wayne shrugged and pointed to the distance. "Just left. You can still catch up."
"Okay, thank you."
Nairn was surprised and quickly led a squad of elite soldiers to catch up.
He had received orders from Captain Zoran to accompany Fang Heng through the entire ship reconstruction plan and provide full assistance throughout the process.
He just didn’t expect Fang Heng to act so quickly.
He had just accepted the mission, and he was already on the battlefield.
It looked like Fang Heng really wasn’t joking.
He really intended to rebuild the ship!
...
An hour later.
On the slope of a small hill on the periphery of the ship’s main body area.
Fang Heng and his group of players gathered.
Looking into the distance, the dense swarm had already occupied the entire main body of the ship.
Nairn looked at Fang Heng and quietly said, "Mr. Fang, ever since we evacuated, due to the lingering pheromones, the swarm has been gathering in large numbers inside the ship’s main body. In the past two days, they’ve even shown signs of nesting here."
"I can tell."
The small hill was still a good distance away from the ship’s main body, but the area ahead was already densely packed with bugs, a black mass stretching across the landscape.
Even the ship’s main body was completely covered by the swarm.
Nairn felt bitter inside.
Captain Zoran had thought about slowly clearing the swarm.
But after scouting the area and seeing the overwhelming difference in forces, the players had given up on solo combat and decided to establish a temporary camp to wait for rescue.
There was no way to win!
To regain control of the ship, they first needed to wipe out the swarm completely, then occupy the ship, and then complete the ship repairs quickly while facing the never-ending attacks from the bugs.
And then?
Even if they managed to regain control of the ship at a huge cost, they still had to hold it.
It seemed like a terrible deal no matter how you looked at it.
After calculating all this, Captain Zoran chose to lay low and wait for Federation reinforcements, focusing instead on gathering psychic ore.
Fang Heng quickly scanned the battlefield.
If it had been before, even if he had summoned all his controllable Lickers, eliminating the swarm would have taken a long time.
But now things were different.
