Chapter 276: Chapter 184: Another Batch, a Sumptuous Dinner
After talking with Nelson, Wang Jun nodded to Ji Yizhi. "The River Bird Fleet is sending a team over!"
"That’s more like it. They simply can’t resist the allure of the Evolution Potion!" Ji Yizhi said with a smile and a nod.
"Right. So, what do you think we should charge?" Wang Jun asked after a moment’s thought.
"One Evolution Potion for ten thousand different types of seeds. That’s our bottom line," Ji Yizhi replied after brief deliberation. "We only need twenty seeds of each type, so it won’t affect them much. If they don’t agree, we’ll refuse the deal outright."
"Okay." Wang Jun nodded slightly. "I’ll use that price to negotiate with Nelson."
"So, should we buy another batch of Evolution Potions from Peach Blossom Base?" Ji Yizhi suggested.
"We definitely do. I’ll get in touch with Taoyuan Yang," Wang Jun agreed.
All of the Evolution Potions from the recent trade had been used on the researchers. Wang Jun hoped that after evolving, they would be able to make some breakthroughs and allow technology to better serve humanity.
"Brother Yang, I’ve made contact with the River Bird Fleet. They want to come over to confirm that the Evolution Potions are real, so I’ll need to purchase another batch from you. We’ll offer another ninety thousand different types of seeds in exchange for more Evolution Potions!"
Seeing Wang Jun’s message, Ren Yuanyang immediately replied, "No problem! But just revealing the existence of the Evolution Potions like that... aren’t you afraid you’ll have everyone ganging up on you?"
"I’m not worried. The firepower of our three fleets is still immense. We wouldn’t be afraid even if Sea Eagle Country came after us!" Wang Jun shook his head. "Besides, as long as the River Bird Fleet’s leaders aren’t stupid, they won’t tell any other fleets."
Ren Yuanyang was taken aback for a moment, but he quickly understood the logic. "That’s true," he replied. "We’ll need time to make them. Let’s make the trade the morning after tomorrow."
"Sounds good. We’ll wait for you to get in touch," Wang Jun replied.
He didn’t even ask how many potions they would get this time. In their previous trades, Peach Blossom Base had always thrown in a little extra and had never shortchanged the Aircraft Carrier Base.
And now that they had met in person, their relationship had grown even stronger. Some things could now go unsaid.
After ending the call, Ren Yuanyang immediately told Hua Lingfang to start brewing the potions.
As Ren Yuanyang walked out of the lab, the rich aroma of meat wafted into his nostrils.
"That smells amazing!" Ren Yuanyang sniffed the air, his mouth watering.
By now, Qin Haonan had finished renovating the shipping containers. They now occupied not only the space inside the banyan tree, but also a portion of the river channel.
Gulping, he walked up to Ren Yuanyang. Instead of reporting on the renovation, he asked, "Leader, what’s that smell? Why is it so fragrant?"
"That must be Xin Wan rendering pork lard," Ren Yuanyang replied. "Is our office area finished?"
"It’s done," Qin Haonan replied, then immediately pressed, "Pork lard? We butchered a pig?"
Ren Yuanyang nodded slightly. "The farm is up and running properly now, and we have more than enough piglets, so there’s no need to be so frugal anymore!"
"That’s great!" Qin Haonan jumped up in excitement.
Ren Yuanyang shook his head with a smile and walked into the office Qin Haonan had just renovated.
Qin Haonan hurried after him, explaining, "Leader, this is your office! The rest of ours are outside. To one side is the reception room, and to the other is the dining hall, which is right next to the kitchen."
Ren Yuanyang nodded slightly. "Hmm, good work."
"Since you like it, can I go check on how the Banyan Forest is expanding?" Qin Haonan immediately asked.
Ren Yuanyang rolled his eyes in resignation. "Go on. You really don’t want to spend a single second in an office, do you?"
Qin Haonan grinned. "Heh heh, thanks for taking pity on me, Leader! I’m heading out now. Just call if you need anything!"
Qin Haonan bolted from the office and ran straight south, clearly following the fragrant aroma.
Ren Yuanyang felt a sense of resignation, but he still went into his office, turned on his computer, and resumed his study of the Daoist scriptures.
It took Qin Haonan less than a minute to reach the butchering area.
From a distance, he saw a figure standing in front of Xin Wan, their mouth moving nonstop as they chewed on something.
Qin Haonan was at a loss for words. ’What a glutton. She got here even faster than I did!’
The figure was, of course, Jin Ziyu, whose mouth was almost never still. The moment she smelled the fragrant pork cracklings, she had rushed right over.
Xin Wan was fond of this simple and guileless girl, so she had simply dished her up a bowl of cracklings.
Jin Ziyu held the bowl of cracklings, stuffing them into her mouth nonstop.
"The Leader hasn’t even eaten yet, and you’re already digging in?" Qin Haonan said, sounding a little disgruntled.
Xin Wan just smiled and dished up a bowl for Qin Haonan as well. "Well? Are you going to eat it or not?"
"You bet I am!" Qin Haonan took the bowl of cracklings without a moment’s hesitation.
"Didn’t you just say you couldn’t eat because the Leader hasn’t had any yet?" Xin Wan retorted with a grin.
"I’m just... testing the seasoning for the Leader!" Qin Haonan gave himself a high-sounding excuse, then grabbed a handful of cracklings and stuffed them into his mouth.
CRUNCH! CRUNCH!
"Amazing! Delicious!"
Qin Haonan continued to stuff his face with the cracklings.
"Alright, you two should get going and check on the Banyan Forest’s expansion. There’ll be plenty for you to eat at dinner!" Xin Wan said with a laugh.
"You got it!" Qin Haonan poured the remaining cracklings from the bowl into his mouth, then turned and left.
Jin Ziyu was still reluctant to go, but she knew she had work to do, so she could only smack her lips and leave as well.
