Chapter 745 - 341: Legends and Myths, the Golden Giant Egg at the Top of the Heaven-Reaching Tower

  • Next Chapter

On the coast of Dragon Island, the majority of the Dragon Race had fallen into a dazed state.

They stared dumbfounded at the fragments of flesh and bone that nearly covered the entire coastal line, too shocked to speak.

That was the most powerful Church of Light, even known as the behemoth religious organization, the Holy Light Court.

Its headquarters, the Holy City of Light, had even become independent of secular kingdoms, forming an illegitimate but universally "acknowledged" Earthly Divine Kingdom.

A total of one hundred thousand divine servants without a single logistical staff member.

They sent the oldest and most glorious Bright Knight Order as vanguard, assisted by countless priests.

Over ten Near-God Powerhouses commanded the troops, with hundreds of Truth and Legendary Powerhouses leading them as generals.

The most powerful among them wielded the sword of the God of Justice and Judgment, one of the Gods of Light in legend.

Divine Sword of Judgment!

This was a true divine artifact, a part of myth and legend, documented in historical and religious texts.

Not just something that was called a divine artifact merely because it was powerful.

This formidable combination, with intention, moved without warning, sealing off the entire space when the Dragon Race gathered back at Dragon Island for a matchmaking event, attempting to erase the species from existence.

Even the King of Ten Thousand Dragons wasn’t confident and had prepared for battle and death.

The ancient battle array, passed down through the bloodline by the ancestors of the Dragon Race countless years ago, seemed to be ready to unleash its power today.

Even without a true Dragon Emperor presiding over and uniting the six tribes, it could still unleash power comparable to gods.

Yet all of this ended before it began.

Who would have thought that Lu Wenwu alone could slaughter all the invading enemies?

Even the Judgement Elder wielding the divine artifact was forced to use the Divine Descent Skill but was still easily killed.

Even the Divine Sword of Judgment was completely destroyed!

Many young dragons, and even some ancient dragons, didn’t realize how absurd this was; they only knew Lu Wenwu seemed to have done something really amazing.

But at this moment, the elders of the Dragon Race and the King of Ten Thousand Dragons had waves of shock in their hearts.

The divine artifact born of legend, which should not even bear the slightest scratch, was completely destroyed by Lu Wenwu!

This was part of legend!

A part of history!

How could this possibly be destroyed?

And in the most unimaginable way — by directly swallowing it!

Felix’s eyes were somewhat dazed; he approached Lu Wenwu and asked in disbelief, "Xiaowu, are you sure your body is really okay? That Divine Sword of Judgment... was really destroyed by you?"

"Yeah, not a problem at all." Lu Wenwu nodded with a grin, "If I have to say there’s something... does feeling a bit stuffed after eating that sword count?"

"A bit stuffed? What do you think a divine artifact is, exactly?" Felix said with a mix of laughter and tears, "That’s a divine artifact! It’s supposed to be something fundamentally indestructible."

"Why?" Lu Wenwu raised an ignorant eyebrow, "If a person is killed, they die. If an object is eaten, it disappears. How can there exist truly indestructible things? An information anchor at most gives it a chance to return, but it shouldn’t be so indestructibly amazing, right?"

"Information anchor? What’s that?" Felix scratched his head this time.

He truly didn’t understand what this meant.

After all, the term "information anchor" didn’t originally exist on the Gods Continent; it was a term Lu Wenwu coined from Chinese.

"An information anchor is like... uh, how to say... perhaps a kind of innate perception universally existing within a species group?"

Lu Wenwu pondered for a while and explained somewhat uncertainly.

"For example, if all of us dragons think Uncle Isidro is a female dragon, then in our eyes, he is a female dragon, even if he really is male."

Isidro’s face darkened: "An apt example, but don’t use it next time."

"I somewhat understand your point now. Information anchor... this term is quite fitting."

Felix suddenly realized, looking at Lu Wenwu with more comfort, seeming pleasantly surprised.

"Though your saying slightly differs from actual circumstances, it’s exceedingly close to the truth. I wonder how you discovered the matter of the information anchor?"

"I had speculated for a long time but never confirmed. Magic, at its essence, isn’t it all about wish fulfillment? It’s not hard to guess." Lu Wenwu shrugged, "Plus I met a guy named Blood Demon Bra before whose characteristics hugely matched the concept of an information anchor."

Having listened all the while but remaining confused, Isidro interrupted, "So now I am the only dumb dragon left? Only I don’t understand what happened? How is it that divine artifacts can’t be destroyed? What does magic essentially being about wish fulfillment mean? Isn’t it about using magic spells to manipulate elemental power?"

"They can’t, at least they couldn’t three minutes ago."

The King of Ten Thousand Dragons had transformed into human form at some unknown point.

He ignored Isidro and instead joined the discussion about information anchors.

"Divine artifacts are divine artifacts because they are a part of history. In the information left by the Dragon God, divine artifacts need to be forged with ’legends’. Once they’re completely anchored in the river of time, they are formed."
