The black maritime trench didn’t end in shallow water. It broke abruptly against a massive, vertical shelf of dark volcanic stone that rose four hundred feet straight out of the ink-black swells. This was the Sovereign’s Siding, the largest unregistered deep-water trading post outside the twelve-mile reef line.

There were no smooth concrete wharves or neat iron docks here. The floating market was a jagged, tiered mountain of rusted container ships, old supply barges, and oil platforms all welded together and anchored to the basalt cliffs by massive, salt-crusted cables that creaked like dying trees against the wind. The air was cold, thick with the heavy stench of raw fuel, dried kelp, and the deep, low vibration of unranked mana stones being cracked open by the hundreds in the lower alleys.

Jun-ho walked out to the very edge of the lugger’s bow planks, his large rubber boots planted firm on the wet timber. He had buckled the stone-gray panels of the Ashen Monarch Core Plate back over his chest, the heavy stone slabs cold against his ribs. His left hand held the rough black hemp wrap of The Ash Remnant, the matte-black blade resting perfectly still against his thigh.

Right at the corner of his eye, the status text remained locked in the dark.

Rea stepped out of the cabin hatch right behind him, her black silk tunic rustling violently against her long bare legs as the open ocean wind caught the high-slashed hem. Her golden-blue eyes spun slowly, tracking the irregular mana circles glowing on the upper container tiers. She didn’t use her regular lazy smile; her full crimson lips were drawn into a thin, practical line as she leaned her voluptuous hourglass shape firmly against his left flank, her wild orchid perfume cutting sharp through the heavy diesel smoke of the harbor.

"The international assembly lines are already logging the sector shift, big guy," Rea whispered, her voice dropping into a smooth, sultry purr against his ear. She reached out, her bare arm rubbing against his sleeve with a heavy, possessive friction. "The Sun God main office couldn’t block the canal, so they sent the transponder logs to the Black Vanguard Alliance on the northern ridge. The alliance is hosting their quarterly auction terminal at the top of the spire tonight. If we want to trade these unrefined treasury crystals for a legendary core accessory, we have to cross their turnstiles before the morning audit logs sync."

"The turnstiles don’t have the weight to stop the line," Jun-ho said flatly.

Lilith burst through the hatch right behind her shoulder, her exceptionally long, smooth legs cutting a clean line through the low sea spray as she wedged her own voluptuous frame tight against his right arm. Her massive, half-visible chest rose and fell in quick, deep gasps against his bare upper arm, the tight crimson leather straining against her rounded fullness as her luminous crimson eyes flared with a fierce, dangerous fire under her long ink-black hair. She caught the wet hem of his gray shirt, pulling his torso closer to her shoulder with a teasing, hot friction.

"The water girl is too slow with her keys, Jun-ho," Lilith murmured, her full red lips almost touching his jawline as she let out a low, breathless chuckle. "My ledger has already tracked the alliance’s rear guards. They have three Tier 5 Executioners blocking the upper lift. Let me handle the stealth lines... I want to watch you clear their ledger from the inside of my skin."

"Get your leather away from his shoulder, broker," Eun-bi’s sharp, furious voice barked from the center deck.

The little nurse walked two long steps across the wet wood, her heavy canvas bag slung tight across her waist. Her dark hair was wet and messy, loose strands sticking to her forehead from the sweat of the lower channels, but her sharp face was completely rigid with an intense, biting jealousy. She jammed her heavy rubber boot directly between Lilith’s leather trousers and the side of Jun-ho’s jeans, her bare thigh pressing hard against his shins for stability as the boat hit a larger swell. She kept a tight, angry grip on her silver trauma scissors, her fingers clicking the blades together with a sharp, impatient snap.

"The database log is still running the core synchronization, Jun-ho," Eun-bi said, her voice dropping into that flat, quiet public-sector drawl that was thick with irritation. "The international assembly schedule just updated on my chart. The alliance directors are already tracking our transponder signature. If you let these two independent brokers crowd the path with their tunics and their incense, the system will lock the resource tables before we can even clear the first cargo gate."

Jun-ho didn’t pull back an inch from any of them. His face remained an unmoving sheet of stone under his gray hood. He turned his eyes toward the dark mountain of barges ahead as the old wooden lugger bumped against the black timber pilings of the lower spire dock with a heavy, wet thud.

Tae-woo and the four elite vanguards burst onto the deck in unison, their massive Tier 4 frames forming a solid wall of leather and muscle against the salt wind. Each man held his wide block of dark basin rock slung over his back like a massive stone shield, their iron knuckles clean and steady as they looked through the fog.

"The dock guards are moving, boss!" Tae-woo grunted, his broken nose twitching as forty heavy alliance enforcers in thick, black iron plate armor burst out from the shadows of the lower shipping containers, their short crossbows primed with glowing red rot-arrows.

Jun-ho took two long steps forward, his rubber boots sliding smoothly over the wet planks of the bow. He raised The Ash Remnant with his left hand, let the lake of cold mana behind his ribs break its banks completely, the Ashen Domain - Phase 4 expanding outward in a flat, seventy-meter ring of thick grey frost that turned the wet grease on the timber planks instantly into a white sheet of hard glass.

He simply snapped his left wrist, driving the sharp matte edge of the five-thousand-fold blade straight down onto the timber rail beneath his feet.

The sound wasn’t a standard blast; it was a localized earthquake that shattered the entire black timber dock into thousands of tiny iron shards. The force of the strike, multiplied five thousand times by the weapon’s bound trait, didn’t just clear the front line; the shockwave tore all forty alliance enforcers off their feet, throwing their black iron bodies backward through the heavy steel container walls in a single, massive wave of shattered metal.

The gray notification boxes piled up across his vision in clean lines before vanishing, leaving only the ink-black text of his new level waiting on his screen. Jun-ho lowered his sword, his fingers uncurling from the rough hemp grip as the frost around his boots began to melt back into regular oil brine. He turned his head slowly, looking back at Rea, Eun-bi, and Lilith who were walking right behind his shoulders, their heavy canvas bags slung tight as they headed toward the upper spire auction terminal.
