Chapter 535 - 334: Breakthrough, the Designated 5th Legendary Clan Member; 2 Methods of Expansion War

Chapter 535: Chapter 334: Breakthrough, the Designated 5th Legendary Clan Member; 2 Methods of Expansion War

Facing off against an army of a hundred thousand;

Simultaneously facing multiple Ninth Level Heroic Clan members;

Capturing a Ninth Level Beast King—the Black-eyed Beast King...

This series of activities, all conducted amidst battle,

intensified Pioneer Corps Commander Eric’s understanding of the Divine Position of battle.

With an abundance of cultivation resources to aid him,

in his final days in the Inner Earth World,

Pioneer Corps Commander Eric successfully broke through to the Legendary Middle Stage!

He became the first Heroic Clan member in the Zhang Yi Divine Realm to break through to the Legendary Middle Stage.

Meanwhile, after commanding so many divine wars and now experiencing the one in the Inner Earth World,

the Zhang Yi Divine Realm’s Legion Commander Feiyana had also finally gained a sufficient understanding of the Divine Position of War.

Once this divine war ended

and she returned to the Divine Realm,

Legion Commander Feiyana would be able to break past her Ninth Level Peak strength and reach the Legendary Level.

She would become the fifth Legendary Clan member in the Zhang Yi Divine Realm!

One could say that this trip to the Inner Earth World had significantly boosted the high-end combat power of the Zhang Yi Divine Realm!

It also deepened their reserves of power.

After returning to the University Alliance Training Camp this time and collecting his rewards,

Zhang Yi could begin preparing for his ascension to True God!

After all, there were many preparations to make before ascending to True God.

Since it was the last day in the Inner Earth World,

Zhang Yi only had one thing left to do.

That was to transport his spoils from the Inner Earth World back to his Divine Realm.

...

When the announcement for the end of the University Alliance Training Camp’s third round of exchange matches echoed throughout the Inner Earth World,

the students from the Five Major Federations knew

it was time to cease their activities and order their Clan Corps to do the same.

Given Vice Admiral Qin Rui’s prior warning,

none of the students from the Five Major Federations were foolish enough to bet on whether the Xuanwu-III Integrated Warship’s surveillance system could accurately monitor them.

Every student sent out an Oracle informing their Clan that the divine war was over.

Aside from the resources already sent through the Teleportation Gate, all other hauling and hunting activities stopped immediately.

The Clans who received the Oracles

naturally obeyed the commands.

Even if they were holding precious items, they immediately abandoned them.

Then, following the Oracles’ commands, they gathered their own equipment, entered the Teleportation Gate, and left the Inner Earth World.

As for the students, upon seeing their Clans depart, they deactivated their flight and dropped their Concealing Divine Techniques,

boarded the small transport ships they had arrived on, and returned to the Xuanwu-III Integrated Warship.

「On the multipurpose training ground of the Xuanwu-III Integrated Warship.」

The students of the Five Major Federations reassembled.

Compared to sixty days ago, every student’s demeanor had changed significantly.

Having experienced this divine war firsthand, many students now had sharper gazes and a more composed air about them.

The divine wars they had experienced before all involved opening a Teleportation Gate and letting their Clan go fight.

This time, the University Alliance Training Camp had gone to great lengths,

specifically sending them into the Inner Earth World so they could experience another form of divine war firsthand.

Moreover, they had gone to great expense to grant these Demigods the ability to build Teleportation Gates.

This allowed the Demigods to remain in the same space as their Clans and observe their battles.

After becoming a True God,

when a True God from the Blue Star Federation discovers a Native Plane and wages a war of expansion, they generally have two ways to initiate a divine war.

One method is to first deploy weaker Clan members to act as "spies," gathering intelligence on the Native Plane.

Once enough intel has been gathered, they use spatial methods to send it back.

Afterward, based on decisions from command, appropriate resources or reinforcements are deployed.

The goal is to integrate into the native population as much as possible, initiating the divine war from the bottom up.

Of course, this method of expansion has obvious drawbacks: it is slow to yield results and requires a long period of infiltration.

However, it also has its advantages. It offers greater stealth, and as long as decisions are made carefully, exposure is unlikely.

Furthermore, when it comes time to take over the Native Plane and place it under long-term rule, the native inhabitants are more likely to be receptive.

The other method for a war of expansion,

is just like what the University Alliance Training Camp arranged this time:

directly deploying students like Zhang Yi to the target plane,

and then having students like Zhang Yi open their own Teleportation Gates to bring in their Clans.

Of course,

this time, the University Alliance Training Camp employed various support measures,

which is why Zhang Yi and the students from the other federations had it so easy.

If Zhang Yi were to actually discover a Native Plane in the future and decide to use the second method for a war of expansion,

given the sheer scale of a True God,

no matter which plane he went to,

he would first be detected by that plane’s Will.

A plane’s Will of lower intelligence, even if it cannot mount an effective direct counterattack,

will still have an instinctive reaction, relaying information about the invader to all the Divine Beings within that plane.

At that point,

all Divine Beings will sense it and know of the invader’s arrival.

If they can kill the invader, they will receive a great reward from the plane’s Will.

For example, accelerating their comprehension of a certain Law;

receiving divine favor in their endeavors;

or being promoted from an ordinary denizen to an "administrator" of the plane, possessing greater authority...

Under these circumstances,

if Zhang Yi withstands the first wave of attack from the plane’s Will

and holds his own against the native Divine Beings,

then, and only then, will Zhang Yi be qualified to open a Teleportation Gate on that Native Plane and summon his Clan Corps.

However, the plane’s Will will simultaneously launch its second wave of counterattacks.

All the Clan members summoned by Zhang Yi will be suppressed by this Native Plane

and suffer from various negative buffs.

Furthermore, the Native Plane will concentrate its Power of the World to nurture Heroic Clan members—the proverbial "Chosen Ones"!

At that point, the invading True God must endure all manner of counterattacks organized by the plane’s Will.

Only by surviving these two waves of counterattacks

can the invading True God be considered to have established a foothold on the Native Plane.

The advantage is obvious: it’s fast. As long as one is powerful enough, they can conquer a plane outright.

But the disadvantage is also clear:

the invading True God must withstand the various counterattacks organized by the Native Plane’s Will.

Therefore, both methods have their pros and cons, and the specific choice is up to the Divine Being themselves.

When all the students were standing on the multipurpose training ground,

Vice Admiral Qin Rui suddenly appeared.

Vice Admiral Qin Rui’s gaze swept across the entire area, finally landing on Zhang Yi.

"I declare that the third round of exchange matches for the University Alliance Training Camp is officially over!"

"All competitions of the University Alliance Training Camp are officially over!"

After Vice Admiral Qin Rui said this, the crowd below immediately erupted in thunderous applause.

The students from the major federations had come to the University Alliance Training Camp via invitation almost half a year ago!

Hearing today that all the competitions of the University Alliance Training Camp were over, joy swelled in their hearts!

"CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!"

But after the thunderous applause,

a feeling of melancholy also rose in the hearts of all the students.

After all, they had lived in the University Alliance Training Camp for half a year;

it was impossible not to feel a pang of sadness at the thought of parting.

But soon, what Vice Admiral Qin Rui said next dispelled the melancholy in their hearts.

"Now, based on the results, I will announce the champion of the University Alliance Training Camp’s third round of exchange matches!"

"Based on the total team scores from each major federation region, the team with the highest total Points is the Yanhuang Federation team!"

"Every student from the Yanhuang Federation may choose any one Five-star Unrivaled Quality Divine Domain Card,

and, each person will receive one small World Fragment."

"CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!"

Even more fervent applause rang out.

All the students from the Yanhuang Federation, hearing the rewards announced by Vice Admiral Qin Rui, clapped their hands until they were red.

Many members of the Yanhuang Federation even let out cheers on the training ground.

After going through the city, provincial, and regional selections for the University Alliance Training Camp, and then enduring the final trials alongside students from all Five Major Federations of the Blue Star Federation,

to be able to stand out from all that

and achieve a team victory was no small feat!

Some students from the Yanhuang Federation were so overcome with joy that they began to cry.
