Chapter 531: Chapter 333: University Alliance Training Camp, Third Round Exchange Match, Day 60, Tallying the Gains

Time passed in a flash.

In the blink of an eye,

the third round of exhibition matches in the University Alliance Training Camp had already entered its final day.

It had been sixty days since the students from the major federations entered the [Inner Earth World].

Even so,

they thought back to over ten days ago,

to the pursuit of the Black Copper Beast King, a creature with a Black Dragon Bloodline and Ninth Level Power.

That scene,

was still vividly remembered by the students of the Yanhuang Federation!

Back then, after being discovered by Zhang Yi, the overall captain of the Yanhuang Federation,

the Black Copper Beast King, with its Black Dragon Bloodline and Ninth Level Power, sensed that things were turning south.

It prepared to flee its Dragon Nest and escape into the sea.

Upon receiving the Oracle, Zhang Yi’s three Legendary Clan members immediately gave chase.

Elf Dragon Xing Yun and Elf Dragon Star River streaked through the sky, leaving two different colored trails behind them.

The flapping of their dragon wings created sonic booms.

Pioneer Corps Commander Eric used his own Legendary Clan power to walk on air.

The three Legendary Level Clan members

chased it all the way to the coastline west of the canyon,

where they finally intercepted the fleeing Black Copper Beast King over the sea.

The Ninth Level Power Black Copper Beast King fled for its life,

its wings flapping so fast they were practically smoking,

but it still wasn’t as fast as the Legendary Clan members.

Feeling the pressure from the three Legendary Clan members closing in,

the Black Copper Beast King couldn’t help but show a look of despair.

However, Elf Dragon Xing Yun and Elf Dragon Star River couldn’t have cared less about the Black Copper Beast King’s expression.

Seeing the target that had forced them to fly at full speed for so long

right in front of them.

"ROAR!"

Elf Dragon Xing Yun immediately let loose a blast of Dragon Breath!

A jade-colored stream of Dragon Breath, slightly smaller than the one unleashed in the canyon, shot toward the sea’s surface where the Black Copper Beast King was descending.

In an instant, an impassable defensive line formed right in front of the Black Copper Beast King.

The Black Copper Beast King slammed on the brakes, its speed dropping sharply.

"Ice River Prison!"

Elf Dragon Star River’s clear voice rang out.

Compared to other Giant Dragons, Elf Dragons—as their name implies—are more skilled at casting various kinds of Magic.

Therefore, upon seeing the Black Copper Beast King so close to the sea,

the younger sister, Elf Dragon Star River, instinctively cast a Water Attribute Ninth Level Spell—Ice River Prison.

Thousands of water pillars rose from the ocean below, surrounding the abruptly stopped Black Copper Beast King and forming a cage of water.

This briefly trapped the Black Copper Beast King inside.

Then, the water pillars instantly turned to ice, becoming even more solid.

Sensing trouble, the Black Copper Beast King immediately began to struggle.

The Black Copper Beast King’s claws immediately began to tear at the cage of ice pillars,

while its tail swung violently, lashing against them.

The Ice River Prison, formed by the Ninth Level Spell, immediately began to tremble.

But by now, Elf Dragon Xing Yun, having recovered after its breath attack, began to cast a Ninth Level Spell just like its sister.

"Ninth Level Spell—Ocean Barrier!"

And so, outside the Ice River Prison, another confinement-type Ninth Level Spell took form.

At this moment, the Black Copper Beast King, sensing the situation had become even more dire, knew that if it didn’t fight for its life now, it would never get another chance!

At once, the Black Copper Beast King stopped struggling. Its body slowly arched,

and the next second,

a black, highly corrosive stream of Dragon Breath erupted from within the Ice River Prison.

It blasted a hole through the Ice River Prison and pierced the Ocean Barrier at the same time.

’Now’s my chance!’

The Ninth Level Power Black Copper Beast King seized the opportunity, instantly breaking through the two Ninth Level confinement spells.

But the Black Copper Beast King hadn’t unleashed the most powerful Dragon Breath of its life

to attack Elf Dragon Xing Yun and Star River.

It was merely to create an opportunity to escape!

The Black Copper Beast King, with its Black Dragon Bloodline, knew full well that its own power was no match for two members of the Dragon Clan who were not only stronger but also had a purer bloodline!

’Escape is my only way out!’

However, thanks to the delay caused by Elf Dragon Xing Yun and Elf Dragon Star River,

Pioneer Corps Commander Eric had arrived.

"It’s over!"

Pioneer Corps Commander Eric wielded the Top Level Semi-Divine Artifact, the Jade Giant Sword.

Walking on Waves, he arrived before the Black Copper Beast King.

Pioneer Corps Commander Eric pointed his Jade Giant Sword straight at the Black Copper Beast King’s head and gave it two choices.

"Surrender or die!"

"ROAR!"

Without a second thought, the Black Copper Beast King turned to flee.

It wanted neither to surrender nor to die.

Seeing this, Pioneer Corps Commander Eric’s gaze turned cold.

Even though he never planned on letting the Black Copper Beast King live in the first place—

after all, this was the Beast King My God specifically ordered to be killed—

the Black Copper Beast King’s blatant disrespect

still infuriated him.

At this, Pioneer Corps Commander Eric no longer held back. He activated his Combat Divine Position and all the offensive Skills of his Jade Giant Sword.

The great battle lasted less than ten minutes.

The Black Copper Beast King was dead.

’Originally, to complete a hidden quest, I considered subjugating the Ninth Level Power Black Copper Beast King and making it my subordinate.’

’But after thinking it over, I decided to give up on the idea.’

’Once the Black Copper Beast King became my subordinate, I would have to keep it under strict watch.’

’Otherwise, if I wasn’t careful and it got a chance to escape, it definitely would.’

’But keeping the Black Copper Beast King under strict watch...’
