Chapter 529: Chapter 332: The Battle Ends, the Level 9 Black Dragon Bloodline Beast King Appears
"Let’s go."
As if sensing something, just after Candidate Saint Child Elias turned to leave, Pioneer Corps Commander Eric seemed to feel it. Inside the canyon, he stood atop a mound of bodies of his own making, Jade Giant Sword in hand, and glanced toward the spot Elias had just left.
But looking at that patch of sky through the eyes of his other Clan members revealed nothing but white clouds and blue sky.
A moment later, Pioneer Corps Commander Eric turned his gaze back to the canyon’s interior.
He snorted coldly and declared, "This is the price for daring to provoke and offend My God! No matter who you are, this is what happens when you challenge My God!"
The Yanhuang Federation’s students dispatched their Logistics Clan Corps to enter the canyon and clean up the battlefield. Though the members of these Clan Corps were dead, the materials from their bodies, not to mention their Armor and discarded Weapons, were all valuable spoils of war.
As the three Legendary Clan members gathered once more, the Elf Dragon’s victorious roar echoed through the canyon.
Watching this scene through the monitoring system of the Xuanwu-III Type Integrated Warship, Vice Admiral Qin Rui set down his teacup and said with a smile, "As expected of the Marshal’s grandson! With this, the final team and individual champions for this year’s University Alliance Training Camp will likely be decided! All we have to do is wait."
「At the same time, in the instructors’ viewing room aboard the Xuanwu-III Type Integrated Warship」
The scene projected on the screens before the five lead instructors was identical to the one on Vice Admiral Qin Rui’s.
The projected image was frozen on a real-time shot: the three Legendary Clan members from the Yanhuang Federation having swept the battlefield, with the corpses of the White Eagle Federation’s 100,000-strong Clan army littering the ground.
For a moment, the viewing room was silent.
Chief Instructor Yang, the leader from the Yanhuang Federation, put down his teacup. The ceramic bottom made a crisp CLINK as it touched the metal tabletop.
A smirk played on Chief Instructor Yang’s lips. His gaze swept across the faces of the other four lead instructors one by one, finally settling on Instructor Brian of the White Eagle Federation.
"Brilliant, just brilliant!" Chief Instructor Yang began softly, his tone flat, but every word was a pointed jab. "What a spectacular ambush! Under Instructor Brian’s guidance, the students of the White Eagle Federation demonstrated outstanding command skills, using a hundred-thousand-strong Clan army to attack a small hunting party, only to be utterly crushed by the three Legendary Clan members who arrived to help.
"In the end, that army of one hundred thousand was completely annihilated!"
Chief Instructor Yang paused, then added, "Oh, my mistake. Not *completely* annihilated. Didn’t a few hundred Clan members manage to escape in the end? I’m just wondering, how many hundred was it exactly? Seven hundred? Eight hundred?"
Hearing Chief Instructor Yang’s words, the color of Instructor Brian’s face changed three times. It went from red to white, then from white to ashen, before finally returning to red. But the first red was his normal complexion; the final red was the color of fury.
Unexpectedly, however, after his flash of anger, Instructor Brian said nothing at all. He just stood there silently.
This was far from what the other instructors had expected. They had all assumed that after being taunted by Chief Instructor Yang, Instructor Brian would surely fire back with a retort of some kind. Since when was he so capable of restraint?
It was to the point that Instructor Williams from the Holy Roman Federation and Instructor Ivan San from the Giant Bear Federation found the words they’d been about to say stuck in their throats.
Meanwhile, Instructor Anade from the Third World Federation remained silent the entire time. She just stared at the screen, her expression complex.
Instructor Anade had originally thought that in this third round of the University Alliance Training Camp’s exchange competition, the students from the Third World Federation would once again come in last. But seeing the Clan Corps of the White Eagle Federation’s students suffer such a devastating loss... this time, in the third round of the exchange competition, the last-place position seemed like it might actually change. The students from the Third World Federation would no longer be at the bottom. Instead, they might just secure fourth place.
...
Meanwhile, in Area Seven of the large Inner Earth World where Zhang Yi was, the battle had ended, and the cleanup was underway.
At that very moment, fifty kilometers from the canyon battlefield, on a cliff near the sea, something strange began to happen.
A Giant Beast, with a body over fifty meters long—approaching one hundred meters—and a wingspan of up to thirty meters, suddenly poked its head out from a hidden crevice in the cliff. Although not much of its body was visible, the part that emerged from the cliff was enough to reveal that it was covered in black scales. On those black scales were special Magic Runes. The protruding head was also topped with a pair of curved Dragon Horns.
This was none other than the Black Copper Beast King—the Giant Beast with a Black Dragon Bloodline and Ninth Level Power, whose tracks the Yanhuang Federation students had found several times but whose exact location had remained a mystery.
The Black Copper Beast King had carved a cave for itself in the cliffs bordering this stretch of sea and had been slumbering there. It had been sleeping soundly when it was jolted awake by a huge surge of Energy from the outside world, as well as a powerful draconic aura.
The Black Copper Beast King had been on the verge of flying out of the cave it had carved into the cliff,
