Chapter 641: Chapter 320 The Three Great Lords in a Flash! (Combined Parts 1 and 2) – Part 2
In the depths of the labyrinth, Chen Mo’s target, one of the three major BOSSes, the Ghostly Shadow, quietly resided.
This BOSS was somewhat different from the previous one, The Undead’s Dominator. He did not have a clear physical form, being just a condensation of Dark Energy with no definite shape. Attempts to sense him only revealed a pitch-black silhouette.
But that did not mean he wasn’t powerful. Although he merely remained quietly in the depths of the labyrinth, the Dark Energy radiating from him was extremely dense and terrifying, enveloping the entire labyrinth like a ghostly ocean.
The Ghostly Shadow had no definite face, but his presence made one feel the power of death and despair.
As Chen Mo entered the labyrinth, the Ghostly Shadow suddenly stirred. He would sometimes appear quietly in a corner of the maze, or swiftly traverse through walls, almost merging with the darkness. When he appeared in a certain area, the shadows around him also seemed to deepen and solidify.
Chen Mo felt that dealing with this BOSS was much more difficult than the previous one. The previous BOSS was more of a lone wolf type. But this one had a horde of minions, and coupled with the labyrinth’s terrain, anyone lacking specific strategies for this map would definitely suffer a great loss. In such a labyrinth, challengers had to carefully navigate the intricate corridors while avoiding the Ghostly Shadow’s minions and traps, making things quite treacherous.
Of course, however complex the maze, however many traps, however much interference, for him, it was as if they didn’t exist. The Eye of Origin saw through the entire situation, and Moluo’s Brain comprehended everything. The Ghostly Shadow thought he was hidden while Chen Mo was in the open, but in reality, he had already been completely exposed.
Just as he was secretly dispatching his minions to deal with Chen Mo, Chen Mo had already used Divine Flicker to appear right beside him.
This sudden development startled the Ghostly Shadow. Chen Mo could clearly feel the dark mass before him tremble.
He couldn’t help but laugh. “So, even those who spend their days spooking people can get scared themselves, huh?”
Before the Ghostly Shadow could speak, Chen Mo had already summoned all the Skeleton Monsters to his side and launched an attack. However, this BOSS’s life-saving skills were far superior to The Undead’s Dominator’s, and he possessed several Immortal Abilities. Fortunately, Chen Mo possessed numerous Sealing Abilities, more than enough to handle such opponents. The God of Bravery title, combined with the Sealing Treasure Ring’s effect, was enough to neutralize his powers. Any additional life-saving skills he had were rendered useless.
In barely an exchange, Chen Mo’s Skeleton Monsters directly obliterated the Ghostly Shadow on the spot.
The next moment, just like The Undead’s Dominator after its demise, it contracted into a small sphere. It then began to frantically absorb the surrounding Dark Energy, ultimately forming a blackish-grey Core of Power.
After quickly securing two Cores of Power, Chen Mo immediately checked on Zhui Yi’s progress. Finding Zhui Yi still slowly progressing with the protection quest, Chen Mo silently congratulated himself on his choice of task. That protection quest, requiring one to stand guard and wait, was truly tedious. This was far more engaging.
After dispatching the Ghostly Shadow, Chen Mo turned his attention to the final BOSS controlling a Core of Power: the Lord of Doom.
The Lord of Doom resided in a place called the Phantom Fortress. The Phantom Fortress was a gloomy and desolate stronghold, filled with a deathly stillness and an eerie atmosphere. When Chen Mo stepped into these ruins, he immediately felt an oppressive and ominous atmosphere, as if the entire space was enveloped by doom.
The fortress’s crumbling walls exuded an ancient aura; its former glory had long since vanished. Within this doom-shrouded fortress, piercing screams and mournful wails permeated the air, as if countless souls, ensnared by misfortune, were lamenting their suffering.
At the heart of the Phantom Fortress, upon a throne, sat the Lord of Doom, alone. From his appearance, he was a tall and fierce Ghost Knight. He was clad in a black cloak and armor. The armor was inlaid with malevolent runes that shimmered with an icy light. He wielded a greatsword engraved with evil runes, its blade coursing with Dark Energy and emanating an aura of death.
The Lord of Doom’s gaze was cold and glacial, betraying boundless cruelty and mercilessness. The aura of doom emanating from him was suffocating, as if to approach him meant to be ensnared by doom. He was the sovereign of countless souls shrouded in misfortune; his very existence embodied the power of death and doom.
Even without drawing near, Chen Mo felt a distinct sense of unease. It was clear that this BOSS was different from the previous two.
According to Moluo’s Brain’s analysis, this BOSS was far more cunning than the previous two! He wielded the power of curses; anyone who drew near would be cursed by the aura of doom emanating from him. Attacks would have a high probability of missing, skills would frequently fail to activate, and landing a critical hit would be impossible. Conversely, the cursed individual would be highly susceptible to receiving critical hits. Even with high passive Dodge, being hit would become extremely easy. In short, one would encounter all sorts of misfortune.
Fortunately, Chen Mo possessed the Heart of Curse, so he wasn’t overly concerned about being cursed. Otherwise, he would have genuinely needed Zhui Yi to come and deal with this troublesome BOSS.
For now, he preferred to handle it himself.
