Chapter 397 - 222 Weakness! (Five in One)_4

Chapter 397: Chapter 222 Weakness! (Five in One)_4

It had just the attributes of an ordinary Level 30 BOSS, still relatively weak.

However, Chen Mo wasn’t very clear about the opponent’s combat skills. All he could see was that the enemy possessed area attack capabilities. These capabilities were likely designed based on its Summoner profession.

Chen Mo gauged the strength of this current body. He suddenly realized he had been presumptuous to think the opponent was weak—he himself was even weaker! He was designed entirely at the level of a regular Level 30 Skeleton Mage. Succeeding wouldn’t be easy at all.

At that moment, he had a total of seven skills: Basic Skeleton Summoning, Fanatic Worship, Dark Shield, Dark Healing Wave, Elite Undead Summoning, Skeleton Warrior Squad Summoning, and Skeleton Monster Shooter Squad Summoning. These were all the skills a Skeleton Mage could learn by Level 30.

Facing a Level 30 BOSS as a same-level Skeleton Mage, it wasn’t easy to handle with only these basic skills.

Suddenly returning to basics, Chen Mo found it rather refreshing. However, novelty aside, with his insufficient strength, his previous methods of using summons were evidently ineffective.

After a round of battle, the BOSS had only been reduced to approximately 50% health, yet Chen Mo’s summoned creatures had long since been defeated. All his skills had entered cooldown. With no new summons available and his own combat skills being only high-school level and not particularly superb, Chen Mo was quickly defeated.

I lost so quickly. It seems I’ve grown too accustomed to having powerful abilities, and my combat skills and tactical thinking have dulled significantly. If these shortcomings aren’t addressed, I’ll truly become useless if I encounter restrictions in the future.

On his first day at the university, Chen Mo became aware of his severe shortcomings in various areas. However, he wasn’t bothered, since systematic learning hadn’t started yet. After all, everyone’s abilities developed gradually.

After spending a considerable amount of time outside, he estimated that the cleaning of his dorm room should be complete. Chen Mo then headed directly back to the dormitory building, intending to check out the room assigned to him by the school.

Upon arriving at Room 333, Chen Mo saw that its door looked much like a hotel room door, openable with a card swipe. After swiping his student card, a BEEP sounded, and the door CLICKED open automatically.

Stepping into the room and closing the door, Chen Mo surveyed its layout. The walls, painted a light blue, created a refreshing and tranquil atmosphere. Decorative paintings adorned them, including one of a blue sky and white clouds that was particularly uplifting.

The room featured a large, comfortable bed with a soft mattress and cozy bed linens. A small lamp at the headboard provided soft light for nighttime reading. Beside the bed, a small nightstand held some cute trinkets that were pleasant to look at.

One side of the room was arranged into a simple study area with a spacious desk and a comfortable chair, perfect for Chen Mo to read and study undisturbed. The other side housed a small relaxation area with a little sofa, comfortable cushions, and a coffee table. On the coffee table, the school had provided quality tea and a brand-new tea set.

The room also included an en-suite bathroom with a massage bathtub and high-end fixtures.

Overall, the design was simple yet practical, exuding a comfortable and warm ambiance. Chen Mo was very satisfied.

Although he had the Instant Flicker ability and technically didn’t need to live on campus, and with his previous contributions, he could even enjoy various privileges at the school, he didn’t wish to make himself special without good reason, believing in the importance of order and rules.

On Chen Mo’s first day at the university, time passed quickly as he gradually familiarized himself with his new surroundings. Luckily, Chen Mo had no problems adjusting to new beds and slept peacefully on the first night.

Before going to bed, he used his Undead Summoning Divine Skill. He would use it twice a day whenever he had free time. He hoped to summon a god-tier Undead. However, the chances were obviously too low. Despite his efforts, he only ever summoned mid-tier Undead.

But these mid-tier Undead still had a wide range of applications, so Chen Mo temporarily stored them in the Reclusion Space. Usually, ordinary Skeleton Monsters were sufficient, but sometimes he would need these top-tier Undead for battles. Naturally, Chen Mo wanted to prepare more in advance. After all, the cooldown for the Undead Summoning Divine Skill was currently quite long.

On the second day, Chen Mo followed the same routine as the previous day. He first engaged in an hour of simulation training, then spent an hour reading in the library, and finally went to the arena for the challenge.

But he still lost. He couldn’t even pass the first level.

If it had been before, Chen Mo would not have realized just how formidable a Level 30 BOSS truly was. Only when he fought against it with equal strength did he understand how difficult it was to defeat single-handedly!

Reviewing his combat experiences over the past two days, Chen Mo realized that a Level 30 BOSS required much more caution and strategy to handle. He could no longer use his past tactic of relying on his own superior attributes to deal with the BOSS. Instead, he needed to pay special attention to the BOSS’s various abilities, carefully study its attack patterns, weaknesses, and skills, and adjust his combat strategy accordingly.
