The Bone Dragon’s skull emerged from the magic circle, followed by its long skeletal neck and heavily built body. Despite its terrifying appearance, it wasn’t some gigantic creature that would completely fill the facility.

Asad had deliberately restricted its size, keeping it at roughly three meters tall so that it could move through the corridors without destroying the surrounding structures.

Its skeletal wings folded tightly against its body as its claws touched the metallic floor. The moment the Bone Dragon appeared, the temperature around Asad seemed to drop several degrees, and even the Sentinels immediately recognized the new threat.

Several of the machines turned toward it at the same time.

Just like that, red targeting lights appeared across the Bone Dragon’s body before a volley of lasers tore through the corridor.

Zzzzt! Zzzzt! Zzzzt!

The Bone Dragon raised one of its skeletal wings to shield itself. The lasers struck the dense bones, producing sparks and scorching several sections, but they failed to penetrate deeply. The Bone Dragon just lowered its wing and opened its jaws!

Soon, dark flame began gathering inside its mouth.

Asad immediately raised his voice. "Don’t destroy the facility."

The Bone Dragon seemed to understand his command. Rather than releasing a massive breath attack that could damage everything around them, it compressed the dark flames into a narrow beam.

BOOM!

The attack struck a Sentinel directly in the chest and sent the machine crashing backward. Before it could recover, the Bone Dragon was already moving.

Despite its size, its movements were surprisingly fast. Its claws slammed against the metallic floor as it lunged toward another Sentinel. The machine attempted to raise its plasma weapon, but the Bone Dragon caught its arm between its jaws.

Crack!

The reinforced metal shattered.

The Sentinel attempted to retreat, but the Bone Dragon swung its head sideways and smashed the machine against the wall. Its armored body crumpled before falling motionless to the floor.

[ You have eliminated a Sentinel Unit. ]

Asad glanced briefly at the notification before turning his attention back to the battlefield.

"That’s one."

Another group of machines immediately advanced.

These Sentinels were different from the previous ones. Their armor was considerably thicker, and several glowing components had been integrated into their shoulders and chests. Their weapons were also larger, suggesting that they were designed for direct combat rather than ordinary patrol duties.

Asad nodded as he saw them..

"Armored Sentinels."

The machines raised their weapons almost simultaneously.

BOOM! BOOM!

Two plasma shells flew toward the Bone Dragon.

The undead creature twisted its body, allowing the first projectile to pass between its ribs. The second struck its shoulder and exploded.

BOOM!

Several bones cracked and scattered across the metallic floor.

The Bone Dragon didn’t even slow down.

The damaged bones immediately began reconnecting as dark energy spread through its body, restoring the broken structure.

Asad smiled faintly.

"Regeneration really is convenient."

The Bone Dragon suddenly spread its wings. Rather than taking flight, it used the powerful movement to propel its body forward. Its claws slammed into one of the Armored Sentinels and drove the machine into the floor.

Before the second Armored Sentinel could react, the Bone Dragon’s long skeletal tail swept across the corridor.

BOOM!

The attack struck the machine’s legs and knocked it off balance. The Bone Dragon immediately stepped forward and crushed its plasma weapon beneath one foot before driving its claws into the machine’s chest.

[ You have eliminated an Armored Sentinel Unit. ]

Another Sentinel attempted to attack from behind, but the Bone Dragon turned around and released another concentrated stream of dark flames.

The blast struck the machine’s torso and engulfed its entire upper body.

[ You have eliminated a Plasma Sentinel Unit. ]

For a moment, Asad thought the battle would become much easier.

’Nice... Just keep going."

Then he noticed something troubling.

’This...’

The remaining Sentinels weren’t simply standing around waiting to be destroyed.

They were actually making changes to some parts of their bodies and weapons!

They were trying to adapt to fight against the Bone Dragon!

Soon, several machines moved farther down the corridor while others surrounded the Bone Dragon from different angles. One of them suddenly raised both arms, revealing a glowing mechanism between its palms.

A blue field began forming.

Asad’s expression changed.

"What is that?"

The Sentinel released the attack and soon, a wave of compressed energy surged through the corridor.

Boom!

The Bone Dragon immediately planted its feet against the floor.

The impact struck its body and pushed it backward several meters. Its claws carved deep marks into the floor before it finally stopped.

The Lich reacted almost immediately.

Several dark runes appeared around the Bone Dragon before a powerful barrier formed around its body. The second energy wave collided with the barrier, producing a tremendous explosion that shook the entire corridor.

BOOM!

The barrier shattered, but the Bone Dragon remained standing!

Asad couldn’t help but feel impressed.

"Interesting..."

These machines weren’t merely powerful. They possessed different specialized weapons, and more importantly, they were beginning to coordinate their attacks. If he allowed them to continue adapting, even his stronger undead could eventually be overwhelmed.

Still, the Bone Dragon charged again as the Sentinels opened fire.

Lasers and plasma weapons filled the corridor, illuminating the darkness with flashes of red and blue.

Nonetheless, the Bone Dragon moved between the attacks with surprising agility...

Soon, it reached the nearest Sentinel that was carrying a lot of high-tech weapons, before it opened its jaws.

Just like that, a concentrated stream of dark flames struck the machine at point-blank range.

BOOM!

The Sentinel’s armor cracked apart.

[ You have eliminated a Chief Sentinel Unit! ]

"A chief unit? So there’s something like that... Must be similar to Leader or King-Tier Zombies..." Asad mused as he saw the notification.

Still, the Bone Dragon immediately turned toward another target, so Asad began supporting it with his own abilities. D

ark Spears emerged from the floor and pierced the legs of several Sentinels, while his Death Aura spread through the corridor and weakened the machines caught within its range.

The Lich continued bombarding the enemy with dark magic, creating openings for the Bone Dragon to exploit.

For the first time since the battle began, the Sentinels started losing ground.

However, Asad could feel his own energy reserves dropping rapidly.

Summoning the Bone Dragon had already consumed a massive amount of energy. Maintaining the Lich, Zombie King, and other undead on top of it was placing an even greater burden on his reserves.

He couldn’t continue fighting like this indefinitely...

’I guess it’s time to use those skill-infused items from Shane...’
