The Soul Beast revealed a cold smile at the corner of its mouth. It looked at Wang Zhan with a face full of disdain before speaking word by word: "Many years ago, I didn’t always stay in this area; I traveled more on the Star War Battlefield!"

With that said, the Soul Beast swiftly charged at Wang Zhan, clearly not intending to end things peacefully.

On the Star War Battlefield, it had heard of the Absolute Heaven’s Sword long ago. It was a divine weapon sought by all, and even many Sect Grandmasters had tried to acquire it to enhance their strength and combat power!

Yet, it never imagined that Wang Zhan, so young, would already become the master of the Absolute Heaven’s Sword.

Wang Zhan flashed a radiant smile and spoke to himself, "That is because I received the blessing of Flowing Light Venerable, who then taught me how to obtain the Absolute Heaven’s Sword, hence becoming its master!"

"If you retreat now, I won’t take your life, and you can safely leave this area. After all, it’s now controlled by my friend’s formation techniques, making exit nearly impossible! So why fight to the death needlessly? We might as well settle amicably—what do you think?"

The Soul Beast hesitated for a moment, still fixated on the Absolute Heaven’s Sword in Wang Zhan’s hand, clearly disregarding Ling Ruo. After a while, it spoke again, "Do you think I’m really trapped by these formation techniques?"

"In reality, I know your intentions are to hide my aura, aiming for a chance to tackle me, then explore the cave! But I must tell you, these formations may seem powerful, but pose no threat to me, nor do they hinder my steps. If I wish to leave, do you believe they can truly trap me?"

"With your strength at this level, you must understand that in the face of absolute power, everything else is mere delusion. With a twitch of my finger, I can destroy all of his formation techniques!"

"If you don’t believe it, let me try directly!"

As he spoke, the Soul Beast raised its hands gradually, and mysterious marks appeared around him. Before Wang Zhan could react, a ripple of energy spread out, and the formation set by Ling Ruo shattered instantly. Ling Ruo flew backward, clutching his chest and spat out a mouthful of blood!

Clearly, he was severely injured under such an attack.

However, the Soul Beast didn’t destroy all the formations. Ling Ruo had set two types: one to obscure the Soul Beast’s aura and the disturbance here, and another for attack, in order to swiftly eliminate the Soul Beast in cooperation with Wang Zhan!

But now, the Soul Beast only destroyed the attacking formations and didn’t touch those that masked the aura, evidently wishing to avoid attracting undue attention from the Elixir Valley’s people, lest they launch a united assault, which would place him in an exceedingly difficult position!

Defeating Wang Zhan and Ling Ruo was easy. If he could deal with them, no one would know of his existence, nor would the cave’s secrets be revealed, allowing him peace of mind!

Then, the Soul Beast’s gaze fell upon Ling Ruo, speaking with disdain, "You’ve come here twice before. I know you want to track my trail and see if I’ve left this area! But do you really think your formations can conceal your aura? In truth, none of this escapes my eyes; I merely don’t bother with you!"

"Had you shown any malice, I’d have dealt with you long ago. How would you still be alive?"

Ling Ruo was shocked, believing his plan to be flawless, yet never realized he appeared like a clown before others, with no room for resistance, truly laughable!

The Soul Beast spoke again, "Alright, you’ve no value anymore. Since you’ve troubled me many times, I won’t linger any longer; I must kill you to prevent future disasters!"

Because of Ling Ruo’s actions, Wang Zhan, an immensely powerful being, arrived here. While the Soul Beast regards Wang Zhan lightly and is confident he could defeat him, doing so would consume much cultivation, given Wang Zhan holds the Absolute Heaven’s Sword, and might have other trump cards—using them all would have dire consequences!

Seeing his miserly demeanor, Wang Zhan couldn’t help but shake his head again, saying, "Stop wasting time! Instead, restore your strength! Even if you can’t help, at least don’t be a burden!"
