The moment the battle erupted, Celeste finally understood the true meaning of the phrase “a clash of titans.”

This was a world of power so far beyond their comprehension that they couldn’t even dream of interfering.

Boom—!

A deafening, concussive roar threatened to rattle their very souls from their bodies. It wasn’t the sharp clang of metal on metal, but the sound of two pure, destructive forces colliding head-on, violently igniting the very air between them.

Every impact between Eldara’s silver longsword and Mogras’s door-sized greataxe tested the absolute limits of what the onlookers could endure.

The shockwave swirled out from the epicenter of their duel, a violent, explosive vortex that plowed a massive circular trench into the solid earth. The ancient, towering trees surrounding the clearing were snapped like twigs by the invisible torrents of force. Shattered rock and soil were blasted hundreds of meters into the sky, forming a terrifying curtain of dust that blotted out the sun.

Celeste and the others were thrown off balance, stumbling backward as the violent gale slammed into them.

“Get behind me!” Selene let out a low growl the instant the shockwave hit, slamming her heavy shield, the Immovable Mountain, firmly into the ground.

Hum—!

The metal shield’s surface vibrated violently. She poured every ounce of her strength into its defense, erecting a precarious barrier of safety for the three huddled behind her.

“Oh my god…” Selene gritted her teeth, the arm holding the shield completely numb, her bones groaning under the strain.

The mere aftershocks of this battle were already far more powerful than a full-force strike from the Stitched Abomination they had faced earlier.

In the center of the maelstrom, Eldara used the momentum of a parry to drift backward. Her heavy plate armor didn’t hinder her agility in the slightest; her form was as fluid and swift as a bolt of black lightning.

The ground where she had just been standing silently collapsed, a half-meter crater instantly appearing, its edges spiderwebbed with deep cracks.

“Hahaha! Eldara! Your strength has waned!” Mogras bellowed, a crazed roar tearing from his throat. The knotted muscles on his arms bulged as he gripped his greataxe, smashing down again with the force of a mountain splitting apart. He was a warrior of pure, unadulterated strength; every attack was a wide, devastating arc, carrying the crushing weight to pulverize anything in its path.

This time, Eldara didn’t meet him head-on.

Her figure flickered, her footwork almost ghostly. Just as the axe blade screamed through the air, she had already glided into Mogras’s blind spot.

However, the moment she dodged, a vicious black shadow silently thrust out from her own blind spot.

It was the dual-wielding Ghost Blade.

His speed was a blur, his twin poisoned scimitars transforming into a viper’s fangs as they stabbed with pinpoint accuracy toward the gaps in Eldara’s armor.

Clang! Clang!

Two crisp metallic rings echoed out.

Eldara didn’t even turn her head. She simply flicked the fingers of her left hand through the air. The pure death energy gathering at her fingertips instantly solidified into two palm-sized shields of silver ice, materializing in mid-air to perfectly intercept the two treacherous assassination attempts.

But the instant the ice shields formed, a spell chant that made one’s very soul run cold echoed from the sky.

“Soul Decay!”

The mage floating in the air, The Witherer, had finally made his move. On the human-skin grimoire in his hands, a twisted face suddenly opened its eyes and let out a silent, horrifying shriek.

Chains of gray-black energy materialized from nothing, tearing through space to coil directly toward Eldara’s soul. This was a vicious spell that bypassed physical defenses to attack the source of one’s being.

“Hmph.”

Eldara let out a cold snort.

On her pitch-black armor, countless complex runes suddenly blazed to life. Swirls of flowing light instantly formed an indestructible energy barrier, severing all the soul chains before they could connect.

But this split-second defense forced her to freeze for a fraction of an instant.

For a true powerhouse, that was a fatal opening.

“Die!”

Dark purple light surged across Mogras’s greataxe. He launched himself from the ground, man and axe becoming one. He transformed into a black tornado of death that swallowed all light, smashing down directly upon the briefly immobilized Eldara.

This single strike locked down the space around her, cutting off all paths of retreat.

There was no retreat, no escape.

“Danger!” Selene cried out.

Su Wan and Xia Lian felt as if their hearts were being squeezed by an invisible giant hand, their breathing coming to a complete halt.

Yet, facing this fatal blow, Eldara remained chillingly calm.

Instead of retreating, she advanced. Meeting the tornado of death head-on, she unhurriedly raised the silver longsword in her hand.

“Silent… Verdict.”

Four cold syllables escaped her lips.

In that instant, the world lost its voice.

Within a ten-meter radius centered on her, everything was stripped away.

Sound. Light. The flow of air itself.

All of it was instantly drained and erased by an invisible, domineering force. A world of absolute silence descended.

Mogras’s violent tornado of death, upon entering this domain, suddenly froze solid. Its form, along with every speck of dust it had whipped into the air, was held in perfect stasis. The destructive energy boiling on the axe blade dissipated at a visible rate, returning to nothingness.

Immediately after, a silver sword light, pure to the extreme, illuminated the void.

That light was not meant to illuminate. It was meant to end.

It flashed across the world of dead silence.

There was no sound, no explosion.

The sword light silently sliced through the frozen tornado of death, sliced through Mogras’s greatave, and finally, rested as gently as a feather against his chest plate.

The next second, the silent domain dissipated.

“CLANG—!”

A deafening, long-delayed metallic explosion suddenly burst forth. The destructive sound wave rolled outward, tearing a hole in the sky.

Mogras, along with his sundered axe, was violently blasted away. He tumbled a dozen times through the air before crashing heavily into the ground in the distance, carving a deep, human-shaped crater into the earth.

On the heavy armor covering his chest, a sword mark deep enough to see bone had been carved. Wisps of silver, pure death energy belonging to Eldara, clung to the wound, crazily corroding his flesh and preventing it from healing.

The power of a single sword strike was terrifying.

Celeste’s heart pounded in her chest as she watched.

‘Holy shit! A domain-type ult! It’s got an absolute time-stop and an ignore-defense slash! This woman is completely broken! Is this what she’s really capable of? If this was a 1v1, Mogras would have been deleted right there!’

However, before her thought could even finish, the situation on the battlefield took a sharp turn for the worse.

After unleashing that devastating sword strike, Eldara’s figure experienced an extremely brief moment of stiffness. The bright silver runes on her armor dimmed rapidly, nearly extinguishing completely.

‘She’s in her recovery frames!’ Alarm bells screamed in Celeste’s mind.

The dual-wielding sub-commander, Ghost Blade, seized this fleeting opportunity with perfect precision. His figure instantly split into a dozen afterimages, attacking from all directions, targeting the gaps Eldara had exposed in her moment of exhaustion.

At the same time, The Witherer began chanting again. Streams of corrosive acid and a volley of shadow arrows poured down from above like a torrential rain, blotting out the sky as they converged on Eldara.

Eldara forcibly broke out of her stiffness and swung her longsword, weaving a seamless screen of silver light that blocked the vast majority of the attacks. But in the end, two fists are no match for four hands, especially not when she had just fired off her ultimate skill.

Pfft! Pfft!

A few attacks still slipped through her sword screen, striking her armor with heavy, dull thuds. The impacts caused her to stagger, and a trace of bright red blood spilled from the corner of her mouth.

In the distance, Mogras was already crawling out of the giant crater.

He let out a bestial, furious roar. The wound on his chest, wreathed in a filthy black energy, was actually wriggling and healing at an unnatural speed. He raised what was left of his greataxe again, the madness in his scarlet eyes burning even brighter than before.

“Do you see, Eldara!” he roared, his voice dripping with mockery and cruelty. “In the face of true ‘immortality,’ your pathetic pride is useless! We are undying!”

“And you,” he spat, “you will get tired. You will bleed. And you will die!”

Eldara was now locked in a bitter struggle. Her individual strength was clearly superior to any one of her opponents, but the three of them coordinated perfectly—a main tank, a DPS, and a ranged caster—forming a perfect combat loop that had trapped her in the center of the battlefield, constantly draining her stamina.

But on the other side of the field, the true crisis had already arrived.

The hundreds of silent, fanatical Death Knights had bypassed their commanders’ duel entirely. They moved like a black tide of steel—silent, swift, and perfectly uniform.

Their target was not Eldara.

It was the dozens of young Apprentice Knights under her command, and standing right beside them, Celeste and her party, who had just barely managed to steady themselves from the battle’s shockwaves.

The tide of death had come for them.
