Gene Domination: The Loli Who Devours Worlds

Chapter 209: dungeon—Pacific Rim!

  • Next Chapter

In the early morning, the first rays of sunlight pierced through the thin mist, spilling onto the entrance of the Cave behind Apocalypse Mountain.

Lilith’s massive body had already emerged from her nest, her silver-white exoskeleton shimmering with a cold, metallic luster under the sun.

With a body length of one hundred and twenty-eight meters and a wingspan of one hundred and sixty meters, she stood on the platform in front of the Cave like a moving mountain.

Beside her was the Xenomorph Queen’s nest.

No, it should be called Ni Jing’s nest now.

However, at this moment, Ni Jing had transformed into human form, so the nest was primarily used as a cultivation base for the Xenomorph Guards.

Lilith turned her head and looked toward the massive nest entrance.

There, Forde was directing several assistants as they transported buckets of specially made food into the nest.

The food emitted a strange scent, a mixture of various energy potions and rare ingredients.

All of it was meticulously prepared by Forde using his [Breeder] talent, specifically designed to develop the Xenomorph Queen’s potential.

Although each improvement was minuscule, every little bit added up over time.

This food would slowly change the Xenomorph Queen’s constitution, making her more perfect, enhancing her talent, and unlocking her potential.

Lilith withdrew her gaze and looked at the platform where she stood.

In the massive pool of water, countless tiny creatures were wriggling.

Turritopsis dohrnii—the Immortal Jellyfish.

They were so small, only a few millimeters long, and their transparent bodies were almost invisible under the sun; their presence could only be determined by the slight ripples in the pool.

But their numbers—

Were staggering.

The entire pool was almost filled with them.

Lilith had chosen this weak creature for only one reason.

Immortality.

The Immortal Jellyfish possessed a nearly heaven-defying ability—reversing its life cycle.

When they faced a threat or old age, they could revert from an adult form back to a juvenile state, restarting the cycle of life.

Thereby achieving—

Near immortality.

Once she mastered this ability, even if she lost her talent or encountered an invincible enemy, she could rely on the path of survival to become truly invincible.

Lilith opened her blood-red maw and extended her crimson tongue.

The surface of her tongue curled, sweeping the pool water along with a massive amount of Immortal Jellyfish into her stomach.

One gulp.

Two gulps.

Three gulps.

In just a few minutes, an entire pool of seawater and Immortal Jellyfish had been completely swallowed by her.

The progress bar climbed slowly.

Lilith licked her lips, wanting more.

But the pool was already empty.

She glanced at the massive pool, calculating in her mind.

“It seems I need to have William arrange for people to expand this pool.”

Compared to her hundred-meter-long body, the current Cave had become quite cramped.

Even the platform outside was nearly insufficient.

Expanding the nest was now on the agenda.

However…

Lilith looked up at the countdown in the upper right corner of her vision.

[Time until dungeon opens: 00:00:03]

[00:00:02]

[00:00:01]

She split her massive mouth into a ferocious grin.

In the next instant, her massive body vanished into thin air.

…

Pure white system space.

A light screen hovered.

[World Loading Confirmed]

[Movie World: Pacific Rim]

[Main Objective: Kill one Kaiju (Mechas may be utilized)]

[Side Quest: Recover one Kaiju corpse]

[Time Limit: 30 days]

[Plot Participants: 12 people]

[Enter immediately?]

Lilith’s four crimson vertical pupils stared at the light screen, her childish voice echoing in the pure white space.

“Yes!”

White light engulfed her vision, and Lilith’s body instantly disappeared.

…

Pacific Coast, US Military Base.

Inside the control center, a massive circular screen displayed real-time surveillance footage of the entire coastline.

Several technicians were chatting and laughing, the atmosphere relaxed and leisurely.

Suddenly—

An ear-piercing alarm suddenly rang throughout the control center!

“Beep! Beep! Beep—!!!”

The red warning lights flashed frantically!

Everyone’s smiles instantly froze.

“What’s going on?!”

A colonel stood up abruptly and rushed to the main console.

The technician’s fingers tapped frantically on the keyboard, pulling up the source of the alarm.

“Coastline… unidentified organism detected!”

“Unidentified organism?”

The colonel frowned.

“Another Kaiju?”

“No… it’s not a Kaiju!”

The technician’s voice carried a hint of trembling.

“The energy signature is… even larger than a Kaiju!”

On the screen, the image switched.

Everyone was stunned.

It was a stretch of azure sea, about ten kilometers from the coastline.

Sunlight sparkled on the surface of the water, and everything seemed normal.

But in the center of the frame—

A massive shadow was slowly rising from the seabed.

The shadow grew larger and larger, and soon, it occupied the entire screen!

“Wh… What is this?!”

Someone cried out in shock.

“Quick! Zoom in! Zoom in now!”

The image zoomed in.

Then, everyone saw it.

A silver-white behemoth was slowly rising from beneath the sea!

A hundred-meter body, a ferocious exoskeleton, four crimson vertical pupils, and that pair of massive dragon wings folded behind its back with a wingspan exceeding one hundred and sixty meters!

As the sunlight hit it, the silver-white exoskeleton reflected a cold metallic luster, like an ancient beast stepped out of myth!

The entire control center fell into a deathly silence.

“The system… the system is beginning automatic assessment…”

The technician said with a trembling voice.

On the screen, rows of data flashed by rapidly.

[Size Assessment: Length 128m, Wingspan 160m, Weight approx. 9,600 tons]

[Energy Signature Assessment: Unknown, far exceeding conventional Kaiju]

[Threat Level Assessment in progress…]

A few seconds later.

The assessment result popped up.

[Threat Level: Category VI Kaiju]

“Category VI?!”

The colonel’s eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets.

To date, the highest Category Kaiju to appear was only Category III!

A Category VI Kaiju was a terrifying existence that only existed in theory!

“Quick! Sound the Level 1 alarm! Notify all Jaeger combat units!”

He roared frantically.

“Deploy all Jaegers! Now! Immediately!”

On the screen, the silver-white beast had completely emerged from the sea.

It looked up, its four crimson vertical pupils seemingly piercing through the screen to lock eyes with everyone in the control center.

There was no emotion in that gaze.

Only one thing—indifference.

Having stayed in Apocalypse for so long, Lilith had almost forgotten that she was in her original form; thus, she had descended into this world in her true body.

In the control center, everyone involuntarily took a step back.

“It… it’s looking at us…”

Someone murmured.

In the distance, along the coastline, massive Jaegers were powering up one by one.

But on the sea, the silver-white beast spread its massive dragon wings.

Then, with a flap of its wings, it soared high into the sky, giving the humans no time to react.
