Gene Domination: The Loli Who Devours Worlds
Chapter 205: Showdown
Sentinel Alliance, Supreme Conference Room.
Five figures sat around an oval conference table.
At this moment, gloom and anger were written across four of the faces; only one person remained as calm as still water.
“She actually chose to form a contract!”
An elderly man slammed his hand on the table and stood up abruptly, his white beard trembling slightly with rage.
He stared fixedly at the floating light screen in front of him, where the name at the top of the War Pet rankings was eye-catchingly bright.
“How dare she! Aren’t those two giant beasts already the property of the Sentinel Alliance!”
Another elderly man wearing gold-rimmed glasses pushed up his frames, his expression equally unsightly.
However, he maintained a shred of rationality as he said in a heavy voice,
“Perhaps… she didn’t contract those two giant beasts.”
As soon as these words were spoken, the other three were slightly stunned.
Not those two giant beasts?
Then what did she contract?
The conference room fell into a brief silence.
Sitting in his chair with a face that remained calm throughout, Admiral Nate Voss glanced at the confidants standing beside the others and spoke indifferently.
“Go and call Forti over. While you’re at it, have him ask that person from Apocalypse exactly what they mean by this.”
His voice was steady, betraying no emotional fluctuations.
The confidant nodded respectfully and turned to leave.
The conference room door slowly closed.
The remaining four looked at each other, none of them noticing the fleeting curve at the corner of Nate Voss’s mouth.
…
Sentinel Alliance, Training Ground.
On the massive plaza, an army had already finished assembling.
A dense crowd of people was lined up in neat formations, standing in silent solemnity.
The sunlight spilled over them, reflecting row upon row of determined faces.
Every person radiated a formidable aura.
This unit was composed entirely of Reincarnators of B-Rank and above; it was the most elite force of the Sentinel Alliance.
Forti stood at the very front of the formation with his hands behind his back.
His gaze swept over the army, a faint smile playing on his lips.
On the surface, this was just a routine inspection.
But no one knew—
This army had long since become his.
During this period, he had infiltrated nearly eighty percent of the Sentinel Alliance’s high-end combat power.
Those experts who appeared to submit to the The Five Elders had actually long since defected to him in secret.
The reason was simple.
No one wanted to be controlled by someone weaker than themselves.
The highest talent of those five old fogies was only S-Rank, and some were even just A-Rank.
At the beginning of the Main God Game’s descent, they were indeed able to control the situation by relying on the power and resources of the old era.
But as time passed and the strength of the Hunters improved rapidly,
Who would still be willing to let a group of people weaker than themselves ride over their heads?
No one was willing.
So, when Forti secretly extended an olive branch, those experts chose to defect almost without hesitation.
A coup was only a matter of time.
It was just that those old fogies were still addicted to the dreams of the old era, thinking that by possessing the nuclear bomb launch codes, they possessed everything.
They simply didn’t understand—
Humanity’s thirst for strength and their adherence to the strong were the true laws of this new era.
Just then, a figure walked over quickly.
It was a middle-aged man in a crisp uniform, his stride arrogant and his chin held high.
He was a confidant of the The Five Elders and held a significant position within the Sentinel Alliance.
He came before Forti and looked directly at this SSS-Rank Hunter, his tone carrying a hint of condescension.
“Lord Forti, the The Five Elders have something to discuss with you.”
Forti turned around and looked at this High-ranking Official.
The other man’s high chin and slightly raised eyebrows silently spoke of an attitude.
It was a sense of superiority that said, ‘I am one of the The Five Elders’ men, you’d better show some respect.’
A mocking smile slowly curled onto Forti’s lips.
“Oh?”
His voice was casual, carrying a hint of amusement.
“And what do they want with me?”
He paused, looking the other man straight in the eye.
“And why didn’t they come here themselves?”
The High-ranking Official was slightly taken aback, then he frowned.
“As the rulers of the Sentinel Alliance, the five lords must monitor the base’s movements and operations at all times. How could they have the time to condescend to come here?”
His voice rose a few notches.
“If something goes wrong in the base, can you take the responsibility!”
Forti did not answer immediately.
He simply raised his wrist and checked the time.
Then, he turned his gaze back to the High-ranking Official.
That gaze made an inexplicable chill run down the official’s spine.
“In that case, tell me…”
Forti spoke slowly, his voice low and dangerous.
“Have those four old things discovered that I’ve mutinied?”
As the words fell, the High-ranking Official felt as if he had been struck by lightning, and he froze on the spot.
He doubted whether he had heard correctly.
Mutiny?
Mutiny?!
Those words were like a sharp thorn, stabbing violently into his mind.
His eyes widened as he stared fixedly at Forti, his face full of disbelief.
“You… you’ve actually mutinied!”
His voice became shrill with terror.
“Do you know that those five hold the weapons that can destroy the entire world! If they wish, all of America will be annihilated along with them!”
He subconsciously took two steps back.
“How dare you!”
Forti just watched him quietly, his eyes devoid of any emotion.
The High-ranking Official’s heart sank further and further.
But his survival instinct made him grab onto the last straw.
“You… you’re joking, right?”
His voice was trembling.
“As long as you take back those words, I can plead with them to spare you from the death penalty!”
Forti laughed.
That smile made the official feel as if he had fallen into an ice cellar.
“It seems you haven’t recognized reality.”
Forti’s voice was calm, yet it carried an indescribable sense of pressure.
“Nor did you understand what I just said.”
The High-ranking Official was stunned.
What he just said?
What did he say just now?
He tried hard to recall, and then—
His pupils suddenly contracted.
Those four old things.
Forti had said ‘those four old things’.
Not ‘those five’.
It was four.
The High-ranking Official’s body began to tremble violently.
Forti turned around, facing the soldiers lined up in neat formation.
His voice clearly reached everyone’s ears.
“Admiral Nate Voss, one of the The Five Elders, has already joined me.”
“And the nuclear bomb launch codes require the joint operation of all five of them.”
He paused, the smile at the corner of his mouth deepening.
“Without Nate Voss—”
“nuclear bombs are just a pile of toys buried underground.”
As the words fell, the entire training ground went deathly silent.
The High-ranking Official’s legs went weak, and he almost collapsed to the ground.
He finally understood.
All of this was a setup.
From the very beginning, they had already lost.
Forti didn’t look at him again.
He raised his head and looked at the distant sky.
There, a black dot was gradually growing larger.
A smile slowly curled onto Forti’s lips.
The King has arrived.
He turned around, facing the silent army, his voice low and powerful.
“Prepare.”
“To welcome—”
He paused, his voice carrying a long-suppressed excitement.
“Our true master.”
