Chapter 733 - 733: Preparing to Depart

  • Next Chapter

After hearing what Ichin said, Haruno immediately opened the schedule on her phone.

"Mhm... In that case, I'll need to arrange all my work for the first half of November ahead of time since I'll be going back with all of you. Oh, right! Eriri and the others are coming with us too, aren't they?"

"That's right." Ichin nodded. "There'll be plenty for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to help with, so they need time to prepare as well. As for the company, there's nothing to worry about. Hazuki can handle everything while we're away."

Just as he finished speaking, his phone rang.

He picked it up and saw that it was one of his close friends from high school.

After chatting for a few minutes, Ichin was pleasantly surprised.

His friend was inviting him to attend his wedding.

Even more coincidentally, the ceremony was scheduled just half a month before his own, on November 3rd.

Apparently, that date was the anniversary of when he and his wife had officially started dating, so they'd chosen it for their wedding.

Ichin naturally accepted the invitation without hesitation.

After ending the call, he looked over at Utaha and the others.

"Looks like we'll get to attend someone else's wedding before our own. How about we all go together?"

"Yay! Let's all go!"

Haruno, who loved lively events more than anyone else, was the first to agree.

Utaha and Yukino had no objections either.

Since they were already planning to return together anyway, leaving just a few days earlier wasn't a problem.

Thinking about both their own wedding and someone else's immediately reminded Haruno of something else.

She got up from the sofa, walked over, and sat directly on Ichin's lap.

Wrapping her arms around his neck, she smiled sweetly.

"Ichin, you've already taken wedding photos with Utaha and Yukino. Doesn't that mean it's finally my turn now?"

"Ah... you're right."

Ichin nodded in realization.

"I almost forgot about that."

"But there's not enough time before the wedding now. Once we come back afterward, I'll go take wedding photos with you, Haruno. How does that sound?"

"Works for me."

Haruno hummed in satisfaction.

"As long as you remember."

She leaned in and gave Ichin a big kiss before finally getting off his lap and letting him continue working.

...

Just before everyone got off work, Ichin finished everything on his desk and gathered the bridesmaids.

"I've already made the arrangements for November. We'll head over at the beginning of the month."

"I'll also be taking Utaha and the others to my high school classmate's wedding."

"As for you girls, you can spend your free time sightseeing first."

"I'll even give you paid vacation."

The moment they heard the words paid vacation, everyone's eyes lit up.

"Yay!"

Eriri pumped her fist excitedly.

"Let's all go eat lots of delicious food! Last time we went there, we found an amazing local restaurant. The auntie who runs it makes incredible dishes. We absolutely have to go again this time!"

Since everyone had already finished their work for the day, the bridesmaids quickly gathered together and started discussing how they would spend their time in Shanghai.

After all, they weren't the bride and groom.

Even if they had responsibilities during the wedding, memorizing everything and making preparations would only take a couple of days.

The rest of the time...

Would naturally be spent having fun.

...

About twenty minutes passed in the blink of an eye.

After work, Ichin took Utaha, Haruno, and Yukino out for dinner at a restaurant they all liked.

When they finished eating, Haruno and Yukino headed home.

Ichin, meanwhile, accompanied Utaha to her parents' apartment.

Besides visiting her family, they also wanted to discuss the wedding schedule for November.

As they arrived outside the apartment building, Utaha smiled at the familiar surroundings.

"This really brings back memories."

"Everything between us started right here."

"Come on."

Ichin smiled.

"Let's head upstairs. Your parents are waiting."

Utaha happily nodded, hugged his arm, and walked upstairs with him.

...

The Kasumigaoka family had already finished dinner and were waiting for them.

Seeing Ichin and Utaha arrive made both of her parents genuinely happy.

Utaha's father even brewed a pot of tea and warmly entertained his future son in law.

The family chatted happily together, and the evening passed before they knew it.

Naturally, Ichin spent the night in Utaha's room.

Thinking about it, he realized he hadn't actually slept there many times.

After they had started dating, Utaha had quickly begun spending most of her nights at his place instead.

...

Inside the bedroom, Ichin held Utaha as they lay together on her bed.

Compared to the large bed in the villa, this one was noticeably smaller.

Still, it was more than big enough for the two of them.

Resting comfortably against his chest, Utaha smiled brightly.

"Ichin... our wedding is only a month away now."

"I can tell you're really looking forward to it."

"Well, of course!"

She looked up at him with sparkling eyes.

"Wearing a wedding dress and becoming a bride is something every girl dreams about."

"It's almost here."

Ichin gently stroked her hair.

"Just one more month."

"It's getting late."

"Let's get some sleep."

"Mhm."

Utaha nodded happily.

"Good night, Ichin."

"Good night, Utaha."

...

After September came to an end, the weather gradually became much cooler.

One month after Phasmophobia's release, word of mouth continued spreading, pushing its sales past 400,000 copies.

It was rapidly closing in on the 500,000 mark.

Meanwhile, the final game Ichin had planned to release that year was also completed successfully near the end of October, just as everyone was preparing to leave.

All platform specific optimization work had been finished as well.

Only a small day one patch remained, something that would take another three to five days at most.

Looking over the completed project report Hazuki handed him, Ichin nodded with satisfaction.

"Now I can finally head back and prepare for the wedding without worrying about work."

Hazuki smiled.

"So... are we waiting until you come back before starting the next project?"

"That's right."

"Everyone should take a good break."

"If anyone doesn't want to sit around doing nothing, you can help out with the development of GARO 2."

"Our wedding is on November 15th, so we'll probably be back around the 17th."

"And once we're back, we'll be holding another wedding ceremony here in Japan."

"You'll all have to come."

The second ceremony in Japan would mainly be for Utaha's relatives, as well as everyone from Ichin's Japanese company.

"Sounds good."

Hazuki smiled.

"Then we'll just stay here and wait for the second wedding."

After Hazuki left the office, Ichin packed up a few things before heading over to the Bloodborne development team.

Gathering the bridesmaids together, he announced,

"Spend the next two days packing your luggage."

"The day after tomorrow, we're leaving."

Hajime bounced excitedly in place.

"Hehe! I packed everything yesterday!"

"I could leave today if I had to!"

Ichin laughed.

"Not today."

"Our plane tickets are already booked."

"We're leaving the day after tomorrow."

It was obvious that every one of them was looking forward to the trip as much for the sightseeing as for the wedding itself.
