Fucked Raw By My Enemies

Chapter 69: Planting the tracker

Ivy’s pov

The anger that was boiling in my veins was hot enough to boil water.

Angel and Jake, out of all the seven rooms in my father’s house, decided that my pink floral bedspread was the right place for them to go at it like wild hyenas.

Angel was on his back, his head thrown back, with Jake on top of him, pounding into him from behind, his hands gripping Angel’s hips. They were both naked, sweaty, and grunting like animals.

They saw me, and the two bastards flashed their teeth at me as if daring me to do something about it. The disrespect on so many fucking levels!

"So lemme guess, you told daddy dearest all about this, and he wasn’t even fazed," Jake taunted, his grin widening.

That just twisted the knife that was stuck in my chest. What girl wouldn’t want their father to fight for them? To take their side and hurt whoever was hurting them?

What girl wouldn’t want a shoulder to cry on? But no, ever since Mom died, I had no shoulder to cry on. I couldn’t even afford to cry, or my weakness would be used against me.

Fifteen years, fifteen solid years of holding and clamping every hurt, swallowing it down, bearing and struggling to hang on.

I was so tired.

But I would be damned if I let any of these assholes see a single tear.

A wide, unhinged smile tugged at my chin slowly, making Jake’s smile dim for a second as I walked over to my bed where they were tangled together, grabbed the bedside lamp, and yanked its cord from the wall.

"Hey!" Angel grunted, his eyes fluttering open in alarm.

"Oh, don’t worry," I cooed, and then I smashed the lamp against the headboard. It shattered in an explosion of ceramic and glass. Jake yelped, scrambling off Angel so fast he nearly fell off the bed. "I’m just redecorating. I should make this much more conducive for cheating scum like you two."

They stared at me, wide-eyed and naked, their stupid grins finally gone.

"Next," I snatched up my hairbrush from the vanity and walked to the window. With a mighty heave, I smashed it against the glass. A web of cracks appeared across the pane. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ

"I’ve always hated this view."

"You’re crazy!" Jake shrieked, trying to cover himself with a pillow.

"Crazy?" I laughed bitterly, smacking the glass harder before whipping around and throwing it at them both.

"Harper!"

I spotted Angel’s suit slung over a chair and picked up his wallet. "I’m just getting started." I opened it and pulled out his credit cards.

"Oops," I said, dropping them out of the window into the small pond below.

My eyes landed on the bottle of expensive lube sitting on the nightstand. I picked it up, unscrewed the cap, and squeezed the entire contents onto the center of my pink floral duvet.

"There." I tossed the empty bottle aside. Their pale, shocked faces gave me a flicker of satisfaction. "Have fun cleaning up my mess."

I turned and walked out of the room, my head held high. Come July, I thought, my steps firm on the marble floor. Come July, I’ll be CEO of Kingsley and Co., and I will be rid of you, Angel Braddock, forever!

The weekend passed by in a blur. Now it was Monday, and I was back at the Knight brothers’ estate, on my hands and knees, trying to smack the tracker under Roman’s Maserati.

He seemed to love the car more than any of the others in the huge car park. I already planted one on Kai’s bike. I couldn’t decide what vehicle to plant the tracker on for Gideon.

My fingers fumbled with the small magnetic tracker, my heart jumping into my throat as I kept glancing around surreptitiously. There wasn’t a camera in sight, but still. Getting caught like this would be insane.

I found a secure spot near the rear axle of the car and pressed the tracker firmly until it clicked into place.

Just as I was sliding my hand out, a voice made me jump so hard I nearly cracked my head on the exhaust pipe.

"Ivy?"

I scrambled out from under the car, my cheeks flaming. Donna was standing there, her arms crossed over her chest.

"I... I was just..." I stammered, my mind racing. My foot started to tap against the concrete, nervously. Christ, what on earth was I supposed to say?

"Are you a mechanic now as well, Cherie?"

"No! Of course not," I forced a nervous laugh. "It’s just... Maseratis are my favorite. I was just admiring the... the, uh, the undercarriage of the car. It’s so... clean."

Donna’s lips twitched, but before she could reply, the sound of multiple engines roared outside. A fleet of black SUVs and sedans were driving into the estate, one after the other.

I immediately stiffened. "Er, What’s going on?"

Donna looked just as puzzled. "I don’t know. It’s not like Master Knights tell us of their decisions beforehand."

We hurried to the foyer, just as the front doors opened and Gideon strolled in, followed by several men in black suits, their expressions grim.

Did something happen?

The faint scent of oud, smoked leather, and tonka bean filled the air, and my stomach clenched when his eyes scanned the room and landed on me.

"Miss Harpley, get the conference room on the left wing ready in twenty minutes." He turned to Donna. "Donna, my guests will need some coffee as well."

"Right away, sir." Donna scurried off while I remained rooted, trying to make sense of the situation.

Were they going to host a work conference meeting here in their home? The listening devices in my apron burned. I was going to plant one in Gideon’s study, but it would seem a golden opportunity had finally presented itself and I couldn’t wait to use it.

I needed to do away with Angel asap and the only way was to do everything father wanted so I had quelled my guilty conscience over the weekend.

Someone whistled, drawing me out of my thoughts. "Mr Knight, you never said you had such a lovely housekeeper."
