Chapter 422: Just Take The Test!!!

You have to be fucking kidding me, babe... You fucking think I’m pregnant?" Faye said in disbelief.

It was morning, and the two of them were in the middle of preparing for school.

"Yeah. Come on, go try to take the test." Princess stepped forward and pressed the plastic pregnancy test directly into Faye’s palm.

Faye stared down at the small strip in her hand like it was a radioactive item. She didn’t even bother gripping the edges. She simply opened her fingers, letting it slip free and drop toward the floor.

Before it could hit the floor, Princess darted her hand down, caught it in midair, and dropped it right back into Faye’s palm.

Faye loosened her fingers again, letting the plastic test fall a second time.

She repeated the act more than two times..

Princess squeezed her eyes shut, letting out a sharp, exhausted breath. She was getting completely fed up with Faye’s repeated childish act.

"Seriously..." Princess muttered, her jaw tightening as she caught the test once more.

"I am not pregnant, and I am not taking a pregnancy test."

"Just take it and let’s see who’s telling the truth. Then you’ll see that I’m not kidding. Please..." Princess pleaded, holding the strip out again as she practically begged her girlfriend to just try it.

Faye stood frozen for a second, glaring at the Alpha before she finally reached out and snatched the test out of her hand.

"Fine. Just so we can end this madness."

Faye turned on her heel and pushed her way into the bathroom, slamming the door shut behind her.

While Faye was busy taking the test inside, Princess moved around the apartment, gathering the pups’ small backpacks and getting them ready for the day. S

he loaded all four of them into the middle of the game room, letting them sit together on the soft play mat while they waited for Faye to finish.

Princess dropped to her knees in front of the kids, a soft smile spreading across her face. "Hehehe... You all are going to have a little baby sister or brother while you are still puppies..." she murmured to the babies, who were all completely distracted, clutching their milk bottles and sucking away peacefully.

The bathroom door clicked open a minute later.

"Okay, I have taken the test. Let’s see if I’m actually pregnant," Faye said the moment she stepped out of the doorway, setting the plastic strip flat on the game table.

Both girls stood over the table, their eyes fixed on the blank indicator window as they waited for the results to process.

Faye crossed her arms over her chest, shooting a heavy glare sideways at her girlfriend. "So, what makes you think I’m pregnant?"

"I heard more than one heartbeat in the car last night..." Princess said softly, her eyes still locked on the plastic stick.

Faye let out a sharp scoff, throwing her hands in the air. "Huh? There are more than one heartbeat in the fucking car. There’s you, me, and our pups. Also, I saw my period two weeks ago. You are delusional," Faye said to the Alpha.

Princess shook her head firmly, stepping closer. "I’m not. I know what I heard. It was coming from inside your tummy... and also we had sex after that.."

Faye tilted her head, tapping her foot against the floor. "Are you hearing any heartbeats now?"

Princess focused her sharp Alpha hearing, straining to catch even the faintest pulse beneath Faye’s ribs. She listened closely, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t pick up that strange double-thump from the night before.

There was only Faye’s steady, normal pulse rhythm.

"No..." Princess muttered, her shoulders slumping as a wave of clear disappointment washed over her face.

"See? Delusional," Faye said, shaking her head. "I take my tea every single time we do it so I can avoid getting knocked up by you again. We still have less than two years to graduate, and I do not want to be a mommy of more than four."

Princess bit her lower lip, shifting her weight awkwardly from foot to foot as she looked at her girlfriend. "Huhhh... About the graduating part..."

She opened her mouth, ready to tell Faye something incredibly important that had been weighing on her mind, but before she could drop the news, the small digital timer on the table let out a sharp, high-pitched beep.

The two of them instantly stopped talking and snapped their eyes down to read the result.

A single, solid line sat clearly inside the display window.

It was negative.

Faye definitely wasn’t pregnant.

A massive, relieved grin spread completely across Faye’s face. She threw her arms up into the air, practically bouncing on her heels as she celebrated the fact that she wasn’t about to carry another baby.

On the other hand, Princess just stood completely still, staring down at the single line in total confusion and sadness. She knew what her ears had picked up in the vehicle. She was absolutely certain she had heard those extra heartbeats echoing from Faye’s stomach.

A tear pooled in the corner of Princess’s eye, her bottom lip beginning to tremble. She was right on the verge of crying when Faye caught the shift in her mood. Faye stopped her happy celebration instantly, stepped forward, and wrapped her arms tight around her tall Alpha’s waist, pulling her into a warm hug.

"Don’t worry. We’ll try having another baby after highschool," Faye said gently, rubbing Princess’s back to comfort her.

Once Princess pulled herself together, the girls gathered the bags, grabbed the kids, and headed out the door to go to school. They drove down the main road, pulled into the academy parking lot, and walked straight inside.

They made their usual stop first, dropping the four pups off safely inside their designated daycare classroom with their toys and bottles. Once the babies were settled, Faye and Princess turned back out into the crowded hallway, splitting up to head toward their own separate classrooms for the morning.
