Chapter 275: Chapter 26: A Major Paper of Disruptive Significance (Part 2)

The Birch Magic Breath Technique: From Respiratory to Spiritual Rhythm—An Innovative Construction of a Revolutionary Simplified Magic Pool (also known as a Secondary Magic Pool).

The Artificial Soul took one look and smiled gently. "Mr. Mo Ning, you’ve finally decided to let the academy witness your true talent."

She knew at a glance that what was called the Birch Magic Breath Technique was undoubtedly the former High Mountain Magic Breath Technique.

It was just that her master, seemingly to commemorate the countless nights spent in the Birch Forest, had chosen to remove the word "High Mountain" and replace it with the "Birch" prefix.

To be honest, Flower wholeheartedly approved of the name change.

The Artificial Soul had read the original Breathing Technique, and it had precious little in common with the current version.

And from her perspective, she was incredibly fond of the name "Birch."

Because this place was her "home."

Mo Ning smiled faintly. "This research project has been delayed for long enough. It’s about time I unveiled it."

Before, he was just a newcomer without even a Spirit Ring, yet he had managed to create a Secondary Magic Pool. Even he felt it was a bit outrageous.

It had been several days since his promotion to First Level Apprentice, and he had even succeeded in casting Level Zero Witchcraft. He felt it was finally time to write the official paper.

Mo Ning then instructed, "Bring me two more Ink Tube Pens."

"Understood!"

Flower answered promptly.

Two pens flew out of the stationery cabinet and settled quietly in front of Mo Ning.

He quietly cast the Trick, Pen Control. The two pens shot upright and began to dance alongside the Pen of Contemplation.

The three pens moved to different rhythms, simultaneously writing different paragraphs. The speed at which the page filled was instantly tripled.

After his promotion to First Level Apprentice, Mo Ning had mastered the Three-in-One Mind ability.

Although Flower had witnessed this more than once, seeing it again still sent a small thrill of astonishment through her.

Ordinary Apprentices could only perform simple tasks while Multi-tasking; anything slightly more difficult and they would feel overwhelmed.

As for a task as difficult as writing a paper, even Third Level Apprentices wouldn’t dare attempt to do it while Multi-tasking.

Yet Mo Ning could manage Three-in-One Mind, and seemingly without much effort.

Brimming with excitement, Flower gazed at the pages and began to read the important, revolutionary paper that was about to be revealed to the world.

「A short while later.」

The Artificial Soul noticed a key change and asked softly, "It seems you’ve made significant optimizations to the structure of the Secondary Magic Pool?"

She had personally witnessed the evolution of the theoretical framework through more than a dozen versions, and she knew every modification by heart, so she spotted the differences at a glance.

Mo Ning nodded. "Yes. Condensing my first Spirit Ring a few days ago gave me a great deal of inspiration. The latest version’s Magic Power transmission efficiency is up by ten percent."

This was one of the reasons he had delayed writing the paper until now.

Flower praised him generously. "That’s an astonishing improvement."

The project had been ongoing for months, and Mo Ning had already polished the paper hundreds of times in his mind. The draft was fully formed, waiting to be written.

Therefore, he wrote almost without pausing, finishing the entire thirty-page paper in just fifteen minutes.

Perhaps the word "paper" should be preceded by an adjective: landmark.

CLACK!

The instant the Ink Tube Pens fell back onto the desk, Mo Ning—without waiting even a hundredth of a second—activated his Apprentice’s Magic Ring with his Spiritual Power and called out softly, "Witch Spirit, I want to submit a research paper."

Knowing full well that time was precious, Flower took the initiative, casting a Trick to neatly stack the papers and levitate them in mid-air with an invisible force.

Her voice carried a trace of urgency. "Witch Spirit, this is a paper of great significance. Please submit it to the academy as soon as possible!"

Perhaps because of Flower’s unusual status, the Witch Spirit, in an extremely rare move, broke from its standard operating procedure.

It skipped the normal "paper confirmation" step and responded quickly:

[Executing paper transfer procedure. As the paper’s title contains the keyword ’revolutionary,’ this paper will bypass the Apprentice preliminary review stage and proceed directly to the next level of assessment.]

Before the voice had even faded, faint ripples appeared around the paper. The pages blurred rapidly, then vanished.

Flower’s voice was brimming with ever-growing excitement. "Mr. Mo Ning, I’m absolutely certain your paper will send shockwaves through the entire academy."

She truly believed her master was a genius for devising such a fantastical method to combat spiritual pollution.

But she had to admit, it was incredibly effective!

The Artificial Soul even made a bold prediction: "The Birch Magic Breath Technique you created will become a required Secret Technique for the tens of thousands of Apprentices in the academy. Your name will be engraved in the annals of the academy’s history."

At first, this might have sounded like boasting.

But Flower firmly believed it was a conservative prediction; the actual outcome would likely be even more astonishing.

Mo Ning felt a wave of relief wash over him. He made no show of false modesty. "I hope so."

Flower’s invisible gaze swept over her master’s eyes and lingered for a moment, noticing a distinct change.

While he was writing the paper, she had clearly seen his eyes become covered in a fine web of blood vessels.

But now, those unsightly red veins had been wiped away by some unknown force.

The worry that had been weighing on the Artificial Soul’s consciousness instantly dissipated.

This was proof enough that completing this important paper had brought her master immense joy.

After a moment’s hesitation, Flower made a suggestion. "Perhaps you could take this opportunity to rest for ten minutes."
