With that, Chloe Sinclair looked up at the camera operators. "Later, could I trouble you all to shine a light for us?"

She then picked up a hoe and walked toward a spot where the light couldn’t reach.

Gabriel Sinclair couldn’t be bothered to argue with Nina Sinclair anymore. He grabbed a hoe and followed right behind Chloe Sinclair.

"Little sis, wait for me!"

Half an hour later, all the radishes were loaded onto the truck.

Nina Sinclair knew she had done something wrong. She was unusually quiet the entire way back, not saying a single word. She didn’t even eat dinner before returning to her room.

It wasn’t until ten-thirty that everyone was able to get home and wash up.

As soon as Chloe Sinclair got home, she tossed the clothes she had changed out of onto the floor and took off her mud-caked shoes outside.

Although Gabriel Sinclair was confused, he still copied his little sister and did the same.

Once inside, Chloe Sinclair explained, "This house was lent to us by one of the villagers. It was just renovated, so let’s not get it dirty."

After speaking, Chloe Sinclair grabbed a bucket and said, "Bro, go put both our clothes in here and bring it inside."

Gabriel Sinclair nodded, completely obedient to Chloe Sinclair’s words.

After her shower, Chloe Sinclair lay down in bed early, ready to sleep.

But just as she was about to fall asleep, a video call from Jasper Shaw came in.

Chloe Sinclair hesitated for a moment before answering.

"Mr. Shaw!"

Chloe Sinclair had a habit of calling Jasper Shaw ’Mr. Shaw,’ and it sometimes slipped out.

Jasper Shaw was also beginning to accept this form of address; every time Chloe Sinclair called him that, it made his heart tremble.

"Chloe, you did a great job today. You worked very hard."

Chloe Sinclair’s face flushed red, and she said with mild surprise, "You’re watching my live stream!"

"Mhm, I’ve been watching all day. But why can’t I send rockets in the stream?"

If he could send rockets, he would have been sending them all day long.

Chloe Sinclair naturally understood what Jasper Shaw meant.

The show’s live stream was on the Penguin Live app. Due to the nature of the program, the gift-giving function was temporarily disabled. Otherwise, there’s no telling how many people would have sent gifts today.

Just then, Chloe Sinclair glanced at the decor behind Jasper Shaw and guessed he had gone back to the old family residence today.

"How did you have time to go to the old residence today? Is something wrong with Grandpa?"

Jasper Shaw gave a wry smile. "The old man didn’t know you were filming a show. He originally thought you would come over when I came back."

When he returned to the old residence, the old man kept looking behind him. Seeing that he hadn’t brought the young lady home, his expression soured, and he all but told him to get lost.

Chloe Sinclair felt a little apologetic. "Then please tell Grandpa that I’ll go see him as soon as I get back."

The old man was already in his seventies or eighties. Living alone in the old residence, it was inevitable he would feel a bit lonely.

Jasper Shaw, of course, knew what the old man was thinking and nodded.

"Alright, I’ll tell him."

"You worked hard today. Get some sleep."

"Okay, good night."

Chloe Sinclair had been chatting through the screen for over half an hour. When she glanced up at the clock in her room, she was shocked to realize it was almost midnight.

After hanging up, Chloe Sinclair began to get ready for sleep.

Of course, "getting ready for sleep" just meant entering the system to study.

With a CLICK, the room’s light was switched off, and the live stream was plunged into darkness.

But this was also when the audience’s discussion was at its most heated.

Especially regarding the video call Chloe Sinclair just had.

"The guy who just called, that couldn’t have been President Shaw, right?"

"Correction: Mr. Shaw is the chairman of the Shaw Group. By that logic, Chloe Sinclair is my mom."

"Get lost! How can you just claim someone as your dad? Obviously, Boss Shaw is my dad!"

For a moment, the live stream chat turned into a massive family reunion.

But there were also some viewers who felt envious watching the conversation between Chloe Sinclair and Jasper Shaw.

After all, the two didn’t seem like they were in the passionate throes of a new romance. Although their conversation was simple—mostly just one asking and the other answering—to an outsider, they sounded like a married couple who had been together for years.

"SOB, I’m so jealous. Ever since my husband and I got past the honeymoon phase, we have nothing in common to talk about anymore. Watching the interaction between sis and Boss Shaw is so touching."

"Love doesn’t need to be some grand, earth-shattering affair. A simple and steady relationship like Chloe Sinclair’s is what gives people the greatest sense of security."

"OMG, am I the only one who’s obsessed with Boss Shaw’s voice? I think it’s so magnetic!"

"Girl, you’ve hit on a common interest! But both of their voices are amazing. Chloe Sinclair usually seems so cold and aloof, but her voice is so soft, hahaha."

"Could this be the domineering CEO’s pampered young wife?"

"Girl, here’s the pen, get writing!"
