Chapter 457: Son Captured

Passing the fortieth step of the God’s Path within a hundred years gives you a ninety percent chance of being accepted as a disciple by a Dominator.

If Li Yang passes it in twenty years, that would be something else entirely. A Dominator would absolutely descend for him!

"As long as you’re accepted as a Dominator’s disciple, Luoyu definitely won’t dare to do anything out of line," Sect Master Blade Slaughter said with a smile.

’It was no joke. If Luoyu dared to suppress Li Yang right after he’d been accepted as a Dominator’s disciple... did he even have the nerve?’

Generally, right after being accepted, a new disciple like Li Yang would be the center of attention and discussion. It’s also when the Dominator would value and care for them the most, dedicating time to personally teach them in the beginning.

The two of them, master and disciple, continued their conversation. After learning of Li Yang’s plan, Sect Master Blade Slaughter said, "Li Yang, there’s no time to waste. Let’s leave now."

"Yes, Teacher."

Li Yang nodded, and they quickly boarded the spaceship.

Once inside, Li Yang immediately entered the Virtual World to explain the situation to Zhou Yao.

Hearing Li Yang’s words, the color drained from Zhou Yao’s face. "Luoyu has officially declared war on you?"

Luoyu had already threatened Li Yang using Earth before. With a character like that, there was no telling what sort of despicable methods he might resort to.

Li Yang’s expression was grim. "Zhou Yao, Luoyu isn’t just targeting me; he’ll most likely target Earth as well. All of you should stay on Earth for the time being. Don’t go outside, and activate the Nine Elements Defense Array at the first sign of trouble."

"Mm."

Zhou Yao nodded. "I’ll take good care of things here on Earth."

After speaking with Zhou Yao, Li Yang logged out of the Virtual World.

...

Inside the spaceship, Li Yang stood in silence, a long spear in his hand.

’Next, my real body will focus on practicing the Destruction Spear Skill!’

Li Yang took a deep breath, and the long spear in his hand began to move in a constant flurry.

Of all the attack techniques he had mastered, the Destruction Spear Skill was the most powerful and the most suitable for him. Its might far surpassed that of the Hexagram Spear!

Now, he was pinning all his hopes on the Destruction Spear Skill.

...

Time flew by. One day... two days... five days... ten days...

Li Yang continued to practice relentlessly.

In the blink of an eye, two months had passed, and Li Yang was now very close to the Human Race’s Eternal Saint Hall.

Inside the spaceship, Li Yang shook his head.

’The plan failed. I haven’t mastered it.’

He felt he was on the verge of mastering the second form of the Destruction Spear Skill, but a bottleneck like this could be broken in the next second or persist for some time. It was perfectly normal that his initial estimate had failed.

’Since I can’t master it now, I’ll move on to plan B. Once I reach the Saint Hall, I’ll head straight for the Inheritance Palace.’

Once he entered the Inheritance Palace and received another inheritance for each of the Fire Element, Space, Time, and Thunder Laws, Li Yang was certain he could master the second form!

Countless thoughts spun through his mind before Li Yang quickly reined them in.

He remained in the spaceship, continuing to practice his spear techniques.

Even though he had lost hope, Li Yang didn’t slack off.

He moved through the spear forms, brandishing his weapon again and again.

And then, ten minutes later...

’Hmm?’

A flicker of excitement and exhilaration suddenly appeared in Li Yang’s eyes. He continued to wield the long spear, repeating the same movements over and over.

Then, at a certain moment...

BOOM!

An incredibly terrifying power suddenly erupted from the long spear in Li Yang’s hand! This new might was on a completely different level from before, as if he had shattered a bottleneck in an instant.

SHRRRIP!

With one thrust of the spear, the void before him seemed unable to bear the strain, and a tiny fissure appeared!

Feeling the power of this spear technique, Li Yang’s eyes instantly filled with joyous surprise.

’I succeeded?’

What he had just performed was none other than the second form of the Destruction Spear Skill!

Li Yang had been trying to master it for so long without success.

But just as he was about to reach the Human Race’s Eternal Saint Hall and had resigned himself to using his inheritance opportunity to try again, he had unexpectedly succeeded!

The gap between giving up hope and achieving success had been merely a dozen minutes!

’Hmm?’

In the midst of his joy, Li Yang suddenly glanced at the watch on his wrist. With a thought, his consciousness entered the Virtual World.

"Zhou Yao, what’s wrong?"

Looking at Zhou Yao, much of the joy Li Yang felt from mastering the Destruction Spear Skill vanished. He asked in a low voice, "What has Luoyu done now?"

Two months had passed, and Luoyu had begun to employ his various schemes.

First, he cut off all trade between Earth and other planets. Then, geniuses from Earth were expelled from the factions they had joined.

Earth now had over a hundred Law Realm experts, who had naturally joined various factions within the Milky Way Galaxy.

After all, besides Li Yang and Shen Xuan, Earth had no other powerful experts.

These Law Realm experts from Earth certainly needed to join a faction to receive guidance and grow faster.

The factions within the Milky Way Galaxy were the natural choice for Earth’s geniuses.

However, every single one of these geniuses had been expelled.

The weaker factions in the Milky Way Galaxy would never dare to defy an order from Luoyu of the Zun Lie Clan, a Four-Element Deity.

Looking at Li Yang, Zhou Yao’s face was etched with anxiety. "Li Yang, Xiaodong... he’s been captured."

"What?"

Hearing this, Li Yang’s expression changed instantly. ’My son, Li Dong, has been captured?’

"What happened?" Li Yang asked grimly.

Zhou Yao quickly explained, "Li Yang, you told us all to stay on Earth and not to leave. Xiaodong went out for a bit, and someone on the street suddenly bumped into him but insisted that Xiaodong was the one who ran into him. That person flew into a rage and attacked Xiaodong, and then a powerful expert suddenly appeared and seized him."

Zhou Yao’s face was filled with panic. Everyone knew that Luoyu had to be the one behind Li Dong’s capture.

Otherwise, who would dare to touch Li Dong, given his identity as Li Yang’s son?

After hearing what happened, Li Yang’s expression became incredibly dark. "Damned Luoyu!"

It was just as Sect Master Blade Slaughter had said; Luoyu had no scruples whatsoever. He actually went after his family!

Even if Li Dong didn’t provoke anyone, it was impossible to defend against someone deliberately bumping into him.

"Li Yang, we can’t get in contact with Xiaodong now," Zhou Yao said anxiously.

Li Yang took a deep breath. Though he was seething with rage, he remained calm. "Zhou Yao, don’t panic. Even though Xiaodong has been captured, his life isn’t in immediate danger. Wait for about ten or fifteen minutes. By then, I should be able to become a Dominator’s disciple. If that happens, Xiaodong will definitely be released."

As soon as he reached the vicinity of the Human Race’s Eternal Saint Hall, he could immediately enter the God’s Path to have his strength tested, and the test wouldn’t take long.

Hearing this, a sliver of hope appeared in Zhou Yao’s eyes. "Li Yang, have you mastered the second form of the Destruction Spear Skill?"

"Yes."

Li Yang nodded. "You, Mom, and Dad—all of you stay at home. Don’t go anywhere."
