Chapter 455: Declaring War on Li Yang

  • Next Chapter

Li Yang felt he was too weak.

In just a short time, two Dominators, over a hundred Emperors, and countless Deities had descended upon the Solar System.

Among these many experts, forget the Dominators and Emperors—Li Yang wasn’t even a match for the weakest Dual Pantheon Deity present.

He was a peerless genius, but a genius was all he was.

This was the second time Li Yang had felt so weak.

Before, in the Yangyuan Empire, within the Beast Origin Sect, he had been imprisoned over a single sentence from Luoyu, completely powerless to resist.

This time, the feeling of powerlessness was even greater.

"It’s good that you feel weak."

Soul Ink’s calm voice sounded. "It’s as I’ve said before: every expert, including those who have surpassed the Dominator level, started out weak and grew stronger step by step. With your various avatars and trump cards, you are destined to become a top-tier expert of the Human Race. Complaining now is useless. What you need to do is find every possible way to improve yourself as quickly as you can!"

Hearing this, Li Yang nodded and clenched his fists. "You’re right. For me, the most important thing is to do whatever it takes to increase my strength. Everything else is secondary."

An astonishing light glinted in Li Yang’s eyes. His resolve on the path of cultivation grew even firmer!

"Li Yang!!!"

Just as he was lost in thought, an furious voice suddenly echoed through the void.

He looked over and saw Luoyu staring daggers at him.

"Looks like Luoyu is about to cause trouble for Li Yang."

"It’s to be expected. Luoyu was the one who discovered the Ancestral Dragons, but the Human Race’s Eternal Saint Hall ended up with them. Luoyu got no reward, so of course he’s furious."

Many of the experts hadn’t left yet, and hearing Luoyu’s voice, they all turned to look.

Luoyu glared at Li Yang, his face twisted in a ferocious snarl.

He was the one who discovered the Ancestral Dragon’s corpse. Dozens of Emperors from the Primordial Origin Martial Dao Saint Realm, and even the Blood Cold Dominator, had all come here, only to return empty-handed.

It should have been a perfect opportunity to earn favors. Instead, not only did he fail to do so, but he, Luoyu, would now face the displeasure of those Emperors, and possibly even the Blood Cold Dominator.

The very thought made his heart churn with frustration.

He placed all the blame squarely on Li Yang’s shoulders. It was because Li Yang had notified the experts from the Human Race’s Eternal Saint Hall that his plan had been ruined.

In the void, Luoyu’s voice rang out, laced with a bone-chilling coldness.

"Li Yang, I hereby declare you my enemy! I am formally declaring war on you. I hope you’re ready for what’s coming!"

In his fury, he addressed Li Yang directly, making no effort to hide his intention to target him.

"Luoyu is being so blatant, saying he’s going to target Li Yang right to his face."

"He even declared war on him!"

The surrounding Deities were astonished.

However, conflicts between experts within the Human Race were common. These struggles were often fierce and open, with rivals actively suppressing one another.

The higher-ups’ attitude toward such conflicts was that anything goes, as long as no one is killed.

BOOM!

As he spoke, Luoyu unleashed his oppressive aura, directing it at Li Yang without restraint.

"Hmph!"

Suddenly, another cold snort echoed through the void. The Blade Slaughter Sect Master appeared directly in front of Li Yang, and Luoyu’s oppressive aura instantly vanished like a receding tide.

"Luoyu," the Blade Slaughter Sect Master said coldly, "you dare bully my disciple right in front of me?"

Despite facing the powerful Blade Slaughter Sect Master, Luoyu showed no fear.

He laughed heartily. "Haha, Blade Slaughter, you are powerful, but so what? You can’t protect Li Yang forever, can you?"

Luoyu’s mindset seemed to have shifted, becoming somewhat crazed. "I have officially declared war on Li Yang. From now on, I will use every trick in my book! Li Yang, just you wait!"

In the void, he and Li Yang stood in a standoff, but the disparity between their respective entourages was vast.

Luoyu was surrounded by numerous Deities, all of whom served under his clan’s Fire Cloud Emperor.

On the other side, Li Yang had only Hei Xu and the Blade Slaughter Sect Master with him.

Many Emperors had yet to leave. The Yangyuan Emperor had been among the group that came with the Black Inference Dominator earlier.

These Emperors watched the unfolding scene, but none had any intention of intervening.

"Luoyu has officially declared war on Li Yang."

"Li Yang is definitely going to be at a disadvantage. Luoyu is a Four-Element Deity, and in terms of strength, he completely crushes Li Yang. Even with Blade Slaughter backing him, Luoyu has Fire Cloud Emperor, and even Zun Lie Venerable, behind him."

"Never mind Zun Lie Venerable’s terrifying power. Just consider the strongest expert of the Primordial Origin Martial Dao Saint Hall backing him. The Zun Lie Clan is not to be trifled with."

"Exactly. The two of them aren’t in the same league at all."

"Let it be. As long as Li Yang isn’t killed, Luoyu’s pressure might actually help him grow faster."

The Emperors murmured amongst themselves.

A few of the Emperors thought highly of Li Yang. However, this kind of formal declaration of war had been used before by feuding experts in the Human Race. It meant that the conflict would be out in the open, without any underhanded tactics. If they were to side with Li Yang, it would be equivalent to making an enemy of the Zun Lie Clan, which was something they would never do.

"Yangyuan, isn’t Li Yang from your Yangyuan Star Continent? Aren’t you going to say something on his behalf?"

An Emperor next to the Yangyuan Emperor asked with a smile.

Hearing this, the Yangyuan Emperor replied indifferently, "Li Yang has his own path to walk. I will not interfere."

He glanced at Luoyu. He had been unwilling to get involved in the messy affair between Li Yang and the Zun Lie Clan before, and he certainly wasn’t going to start now.

The Emperors continued their discussions, with some even bringing up the matter of Li Yang finding a new master.

"Don’t forget, with Li Yang’s incredible Talent, if he were willing to take the initiative and ask an Emperor to be his master, it’s highly likely that Emperor would accept him."

"True. If Li Yang became the disciple of an extremely powerful Emperor, it would be much more difficult for Luoyu to make a move against him."

Li Yang’s Talent was certainly enough for him to become an Emperor’s disciple.

However, the Blade Slaughter Sect Master was only one step away from the Emperor Realm himself. With him as a master, other Emperors wouldn’t try to take Li Yang as their own disciple.

The guidance the Blade Slaughter Sect Master could offer Li Yang wouldn’t be much different from their own, after all.

Therefore, it would be improper for those Emperors to approach him.

But if Li Yang were to take the initiative to ask an Emperor to be his master, that Emperor would, in all likelihood, gladly agree.

Then, it would become significantly more difficult for Luoyu to target Li Yang.

Of course, if Li Yang were to seek out an Emperor at a time like this, that Emperor would certainly have to take the Zun Lie Clan into consideration.

Li Yang’s chances of success weren’t very high.

Under the gazes of the crowd, Li Yang stared back at Luoyu, his expression dark. "Luoyu, you’re a Four-Element Deity. Do you have no shame, declaring war on a Star Lord Realm genius like me?"

Despite his anger at Luoyu’s words, Li Yang was clearly keeping a level head.

He knew he was no match for Luoyu when it came to schemes and resources.
