Chapter 414: Exterminating the Sect

The void shimmered and warped as fissures tore through it. The entire world seemed on the brink of annihilation. Such was the combined might of these powerhouses!

’So they came this quickly?’

Li Yang was startled as he watched the experts from the Human Race appear.

He knew the Deities of the Human Race would descend, but he hadn’t expected so many.

At his current level, a single Deity was enough to leave him awestruck. Now, with dozens appearing at once, exuding an overwhelming power that seemed capable of shattering the void, he felt as insignificant as an ant.

’I should be able to stand among these experts soon, right?’ Amidst his shock, a flicker of anticipation ignited in Li Yang’s eyes.

He possessed the Fire Nether Divine Beast avatar and the Time Divine Tree avatar. In a few centuries at most, he could master the laws of both systems. Then, he would be a Dual Pantheon Deity!

While Li Yang was lost in thought, Hei Xu and his eleventh senior brother, Jun Yue, were visibly astonished to see so many Deities from the Human Race arrive.

"Experts from our Human Race? Why are so many of them here?"

"The one in the lead is Luoyu, the unparalleled genius of the Zun Lie Clan!"

At that moment, Hei Xu and Jun Yue had no idea what was happening, but they didn’t hesitate. They instantly moved in front of Li Yang, shielding him completely.

Li Yang and his group were fine, but the Sect Master of the Beast Origin Sect, who had been wearing a constant smile, saw the host of Human Race experts and his expression changed drastically.

"Human Race experts!"

A look of sheer horror filled his eyes. With so many Human Race experts descending upon them, it was obvious their hideout had been discovered.

BOOM!

Leng Wu, the Sect Master of the Beast Origin Sect, dropped all pretense. The aura of power around him erupted completely.

ROAR!

A colossal beast materialized before him—a wolf-like creature with sixteen legs. Its body was immense, and it charged fearlessly into the void.

"BANG!"

Then, it actually self-destructed.

Meanwhile, using the beast’s self-destruction as a diversion, Leng Wu’s figure shot away in the opposite direction, attempting a swift escape.

Everything happened in an instant. The moment the Human Race’s Deities arrived, Leng Wu had chosen to flee.

"Leng Wu, where do you think you’re going?" the young man in the lead said indifferently, watching Leng Wu’s actions.

With a wave of his hand, a black mountain peak materialized. As it appeared, the surrounding void seemed to freeze, and Leng Wu’s forward momentum slowed dramatically.

’What kind of treasure is that? A Divine Artifact? It seems to have some kind of binding effect.’

Li Yang wondered to himself, staring at the black mountain peak.

Judging by its effect, the black mountain peak wasn’t a common treasure for offense, defense, or speed. It had a different function entirely.

"HUMAN RACE!!!"

In the void, Leng Wu’s speed was drastically reduced. Knowing he couldn’t escape, he let out a furious roar as his soul annihilated itself. The fluctuations of his aura dissipated like a receding tide.

When cornered, infiltrated members of the Alien Race almost always chose to obliterate their own souls.

Leng Wu did so, as did the other ordinary Deities of the Beast Origin Sect. They committed suicide instantly.

In just a few short seconds, everything had changed drastically. The Human Race experts had descended, and Leng Wu, the Sect Master of the Beast Origin Sect, along with its other Deities, had perished.

But just as quickly as it began, it was over. In less than a few seconds, calm returned to the area.

Now, only Li Yang’s group and some members of the Beast Origin Sect remained.

"The Sect Master was killed?"

"What’s going on? Why was the Sect Master so terrified when he saw so many experts from our own Human Race?"

At this moment, many of the Beast Origin Sect members wore looks of horror.

Their strength had not reached the level of Deities, so they were not actually part of the Alien Race’s conspiracy.

The Beast Origin Sect naturally had to recruit disciples from the outside; it couldn’t remain closed off forever. Any sect wishing to develop needed a constant influx of new blood.

It was impossible for them to control every single disciple they recruited. They only took control of those who showed exceptional Talent—the geniuses.

As for the others, they were mostly left alone. Therefore, the Beast Origin Sect disciples here were completely bewildered, with no idea what had just transpired.

In the void, the leader, Luoyu, swept his icy gaze over the crowd below. He seemed to give Li Yang an extra glance before ordering, "Arrest everyone down there! Take them back for thorough interrogation!"

"Yes, sir!"

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The Deities moved out one by one, swiftly capturing the terrified members of the Beast Origin Sect.

Who knew which of these Beast Origin Sect members were under control? Therefore, when dealing with an Alien Race gathering point, not a single person was to be spared.

Of course, as the Deities made their arrests, they all bypassed Li Yang’s group.

Hei Xu and Jun Yue were even greeting some of the other Deities.

The Human Race had two titanic powers: the Human Race’s Eternal Saint Hall and the Hunyuan Martial Dao Saint Realm. Almost any Deity of any standing belonged to one of these two factions. Hei Xu, Jun Yue, and several of the Deities present were acquaintances.

"Han Yun, what’s going on? Why have so many of you experts come here?"

"Hei Xu, this Beast Origin Sect is a gathering point for the Alien Race."

"What? An Alien Race gathering point?"

They continued to chat like this, and soon Hei Xu and Jun Yue understood the situation.

Before long, all the people from the Beast Origin Sect were captured.

Now, only Li Yang, Shen Xuan, Hei Xu, and Jun Yue remained.

"Li Yang, I can’t believe the Beast Origin Sect was actually an Alien Race gathering point. I bet Leng Wu didn’t dare to make a move before because of the two Tri-System Deities from the Alien Race who died."

Hei Xu said this, knowing the full story, unlike the outside world which rumored that Li Yang was protected by two Four-Element Deities.

Those two Four-Element Deities were specially invited by Li Yang after he discovered the lurking Alien Race assassins ahead of time.

This time, however, they had no idea that the Beast Origin Sect was one of the Alien Race’s gathering points.

A trace of lingering fear appeared in Hei Xu’s heart. If Leng Wu had truly attacked Li Yang here, on the Beast Origin Sect’s home turf, there was a very real chance he could have succeeded.

But Leng Wu had been too cautious and gave up the best opportunity for a successful strike.

"I didn’t expect it either," Li Yang said, nodding. "But no matter how well the Beast Origin Sect hid, they’ve still been exposed now."

He wasn’t wrong. Soul Ink was the one who had identified this place as an Alien Race gathering point.

As they were speaking, the young leader, Luoyu, glanced at the captured people and said indifferently, "I said to arrest *everyone* down there. Why haven’t these few been arrested?"

He pointed at Li Yang’s group.

"Huh?" Hearing Luoyu’s words, the various Deities present looked at each other in confusion.

Arrest Li Yang and Hei Xu’s group?

Hearing this, Li Yang also frowned slightly and looked toward Luoyu.

Luoyu was arresting the people of the Beast Origin Sect, but he wanted to arrest him too?

’Is he saying that on purpose?’ Li Yang wondered.

As Luoyu finished speaking, the Four-Element Deity Han Yun spoke up with a smile. "Luoyu, you may not be aware, but the young man below is Li Yang from our Human Race’s Eternal Saint Hall. Beside him are Hei Xu, his protector, and Jun Yue, his senior brother. It’s impossible for Li Yang and his group to have any connection to the Alien Race. There’s no need to arrest them."
