Chapter 371: The Mysterious Little Sword’s Sensing

Li Yang’s potential was enough to make the Star Moon Race want to befriend him.

"Mr. Li Yang, Mr. Hei Xu, I will see you out."

After hearing Li Yang’s promise, Elder Lie Shu was in high spirits and said with a smile.

The group walked outside.

Back in the Star Moon Race’s territory, Lan Ruo, Lan Xin, and their group had yet to leave.

"Sister, Lily said Li Yang went to the cultivation retreat. We don’t know how long it’ll be before he comes out," said Lan Xin.

"Lily said the shortest anyone from her race stays in there is two years, while the longest is over a decade."

"We wait."

Hearing Lan Xin’s words, the red-armored Lan Ruo said in a solemn voice, "If Li Yang doesn’t come out, we’ll wait until he does. Right now, he is our only hope of getting a Star Moon Fruit."

They had previously tried to contact the Star Moon Race to trade for Star Moon Fruits.

But once the Star Moon Race learned of their background and strength, they simply ignored them.

Plenty of major factions wanted to trade for Star Moon Fruits, and unless they were a truly top-tier power, the Star Moon Race wouldn’t even give them the time of day.

If they had to host every minor faction, they would be run ragged.

Hearing her sister, Lan Xin couldn’t help but ask, "Sister, if Li Yang does come out, how are you going to trade with him?"

Star Moon Fruits were incredibly precious. Any trade for one would require an equally valuable treasure.

Who would be willing to trade for something that wasn’t valuable?

Lan Ruo fell silent for a moment before saying, "I can offer every treasure I have and let Li Yang choose."

She knew the chances of getting a Star Moon Fruit from Li Yang were slim, but she refused to give up hope.

The Lanling Clan desperately needed a new Deity. It wasn’t just her; other members of the clan were also traveling far and wide, trying to find ways to bolster the clan’s strength.

To fall from a mighty clan led by an Emperor to an ordinary Divine Clan—the disparity was immense. On top of that, the Lanling Clan now faced numerous hidden dangers.

"Okay." Lan Xin nodded.

She suddenly looked into the distance and exclaimed, "Sister, look! It’s Li Yang!"

She was looking toward the cultivation retreat.

And from that direction, Li Yang and his group were walking over.

"Hm?" Hearing her sister, Lan Ruo quickly looked over.

Upon seeing Li Yang, a glimmer of hope instantly lit up her face, and she hurried toward him.

...

Li Yang was chatting idly with Elder Lie Shu, but inwardly, he was thinking,

’After this, I’ll head straight back to Earth.’

’Two more Dragon Scale Insects have been discovered. What secrets does the Solar System hold?’

Li Yang had received a message from Zhou Yao earlier.

The exploration of the Solar System had continued for several years. Now, however, the work was being done by mechanical lifeforms Li Yang had purchased. And in just those few years, more Dragon Scale Insects had been discovered!

For such a rare treasure to appear repeatedly within the Solar System... It was too strange.

The Solar System definitely held a secret he had yet to uncover.

’At the current rate of exploration, the entire Solar System should be fully mapped within a hundred years at most. I should have my answer by then,’ Li Yang thought to himself.

As he was thinking, Hei Xu’s voice suddenly sounded in his mind.

"Li Yang, those people from the Lanling Clan are following us."

’The Lanling Clan?’

Hearing Hei Xu, Li Yang glanced back and, sure enough, saw Lan Ruo, Lan Xin, and their companions trailing behind him.

Seeing this, Li Yang stopped and looked directly at Lan Ruo and the others.

’We’ve been discovered?’

Seeing Li Yang looking at them, Lan Ruo hesitated for a second before quickening her pace to stand before him.

"Can I help you with something?" Li Yang asked, looking at the girl before him.

When he had learned about the Lanling Clan, he had also learned about the Lanling Emperor. The Emperor hadn’t liked staying within his clan’s territory, preferring to be in the outside world, fighting and killing members of the Alien Race. The number of aliens who had died by his hand was staggering, and Li Yang held great admiration for such a figure.

Hearing Li Yang’s question, Lan Ruo took a deep breath. She knew this moment would decide whether she could obtain a Star Moon Fruit.

She didn’t waste any time, getting straight to the point. "Li Yang, I was wondering if you have any extra Star Moon Fruits. I’d like to trade for one."

She looked at the incredibly young man before her and was reminded of their arrival at the entrance to the Star Moon Race’s territory four years ago.

Their ancestor had died unexpectedly, causing the Lanling Clan’s status to plummet and exposing them to all sorts of hidden dangers. She had been desperate to build connections, yet when she saw Li Yang, she hadn’t recognized him.

Her sister had tried to befriend him, but she had called her back.

Thinking of it now, she couldn’t help but feel a surge of regret.

’It was such a perfect opportunity. I was so foolish. A chance to build a connection was handed to me on a silver platter, and I just pushed it away.’

’Trade for a Star Moon Fruit?’ Hearing Lan Ruo’s request, Li Yang’s expression remained calm.

He had a hundred Star Moon Fruits on him now, which was certainly a lot, but he wasn’t some saint who would just hand them out to anyone.

Unless, of course, they had something he needed.

"What are you offering in trade?" Li Yang asked.

He admired the Lanling Emperor for killing so many of the Alien Race. If Lan Ruo truly had something he needed, he wouldn’t mind trading one fruit.

Hearing that Li Yang hadn’t refused outright, Lan Ruo’s heart leaped with joy. She guessed he must have redeemed a large number of Star Moon Fruits from the Star Moon Race’s treasury.

With a wave of her right hand, a stream of items appeared before them.

As they began to discuss the trade, Elder Lie Shu stood off to the side, his expression unchanged.

Li Yang had redeemed the Star Moon Fruits, so they now belonged entirely to him. Who he gave them to or traded them with was his own business.

Li Yang watched as Lan Ruo presented one treasure after another, but his expression remained impassive. He was clearly not tempted by any of them.

The treasures were all rather common. While a few could be considered valuable, with his capabilities, he could easily acquire plenty of them.

Seeing Li Yang’s placid expression, Lan Ruo’s heart began to sink. She had many items in her Spatial Ring, and she had started by bringing out the most valuable ones. If he wasn’t interested in these, he would care even less about the rest.

Still, she refused to give up and continued to bring out more treasures. Then, she produced a black bead.

VMMMM...

The moment the black bead appeared, the mysterious small sword in Li Yang’s mind pulsed once before falling silent again.

’The mysterious small sword pulsed again?’

Though his face remained calm, Li Yang’s heart stirred when he felt the pulse.

’Is this the same feeling from before?’

Before entering the Inheritance Ground, the mysterious small sword had seemed to sense something, but the feeling had vanished in a flash, leaving Li Yang with no idea what it was.

But now, the sword had pulsed again, and the sensation was identical to the one from before!

And this time, Li Yang could clearly sense that the source of the unique sensation was the black bead.
