Chapter 733 - 352: Leading the Army, Major General Su

According to Su Jiameng’s own speculation, it’s most likely the second option, violent conquest! Because it has the highest difficulty, and it’s the hardest to complete. Anyway, the plane task won’t leave such a big loophole for merchants doing tasks to take advantage.

The difficulty of the first task, capturing the King of Clay, is already so high, so the second-ranked subtask will naturally be even harder! Violent conquest? That’s Su Jiameng’s favorite method, an exhilarating battle that is enjoyable to some extent.

"Miss Su..." Yu Feng teleported the five members of the squad to the edge of a planet in the Maxiwa Delta. After completing the task, he did not leave immediately but handed something to Su Jiameng, "This is the only thing I can help you with as an Alliance Admiral and business partner. Naturally, this is also helping myself. During your task, this army will be under your command, with absolute obedience!"

"What?" Su Jiameng received the item, which was a symbol of military authority transfer and was necessary for commanding and dispatching the army. She had frequent contact with this item in her past life, so she naturally recognized it. However, she hadn’t had any close contact with it in this life.

"I said, this helps you and also helps the Alliance itself. The criminal forces in the Maxiwa Delta are also quite troubling for the Alliance. If we formally go to war with the Divine’s Remnant Clan, they might take advantage of the situation to harass the Alliance," Yu Feng said calmly, "This is a mutually beneficial deal. I assume you won’t refuse, right?"

The Maxiwa Delta is actually a gathering place for many interstellar alliance traitors, where burning, killing, and looting occur without any crimes left undone. Even the criminals with the lightest charges are those who intend to betray their race... All the criminals sentenced to death usually flee here seeking refuge. It can be said that this place is practically a deadly interstellar tumor!

The Alliance’s biggest enemy is not the criminal forces of the Maxiwa Delta but the ever-weakening Divine’s Remnant Clan, or rather the Divine Hidden Clan which manipulates and incites them from behind! Once war breaks out, the Alliance will be attacked from both sides: on one hand, the strong Divine’s Remnant Clan, on the other hand, the resurgent Insect Race. A bad move could lead to the Alliance’s downfall!

The criminal forces of the Maxiwa Delta have always been self-indulgent, without any sense of the bigger picture. If the Alliance truly falls into such a situation, it would be good enough if these tumors don’t make things worse; there’s no expectation for them to unite against a common enemy and help the Alliance!

To prevent any danger, the hidden threats of the Maxiwa Delta must be eradicated before the war truly begins! In her past life, Su Jiameng was an Alliance Major General, with incredibly rich experience in leading battles. Given enough time, she should be able to take down this area!

Reducing the Alliance’s potential safety hazards also prepares sufficiently for future wars. At the very least, the backyard cannot catch fire!

Although Su Jiameng is a merchant doing tasks with the aim of completing them and returning home as soon as possible, it is undeniable that the counterpart is truly talented, and their interests align with those of the Alliance. Their cooperation is nothing but beneficial with no drawbacks. Helping her is helping the Alliance itself!

Based on these considerations, Yu Feng gave Su Jiameng some military authority. With the assistance of the Alliance Military Department, the success rate of occupying the Maxiwa Delta would greatly increase, and it would also reduce the time spent doing tasks.

Otherwise, relying solely on Su Jiameng and her five members, how could a strong force be established? How could the ruffians of the Maxiwa Delta be subdued? There’s a limit to personal strength; no matter how strong Su Jiameng is, she’s but one person! But with the army’s assistance, the difficulty of accomplishing the task becomes much less.

Yu Feng understands this logic, and Su Jiameng naturally sees it clearly. She had no intention of refusing, accepted the military authority, and briefly learned about the general situation of this army. Most of them were Yu Feng’s former subordinates, with guaranteed quality!

"No need to express gratitude for great kindness, I’ll accept your goodwill," Su Jiameng flashed a rare smile full of confident brilliance, "With your timely help, I will surely flatten the entire Maxiwa Delta within three years!"

Su Jiameng had been away from her previous plane for too long. For the next two tasks, she’s planning to complete them in one go, determined not to spend nearly six years on a single task! However, Maxiwa Delta is vast, with various forces crisscrossing. Even she doesn’t dare to say she can definitely conquer them in a short time.

Three years is her most conservative and ideal estimated time!

Listening to her declaration akin to a military order, Yu Feng showed a faint smile, encouragingly saying, "I look forward to hearing good news from you after three years. If you settle the Maxiwa Delta, you will be the Alliance’s hero!"

Heroes are nothing Su Jiameng care about; all she seeks is to complete the tasks early. As the saying goes, an army marches on its stomach; the number of troops Yu Feng provided is not small, so logistics and supplies must keep up. Anyway, Su Jiameng has no intention of paying out of her own pocket.

Regarding this matter, Yu Feng also gave a definite answer; as long as there’s even one person remaining in the army, the supply will not be cut!

Both Su Jiameng and Yu Feng are more than satisfied with this deal. However, while they are content, naturally, there are others who are dissatisfied.

Due to Yu Feng’s covert operation, Su Jiameng and her group also got a nominal position in the Alliance. For the need of leading troops, her military rank was even elevated to the degree of Lieutenant General. However, she hasn’t much military merit recorded, and her reputation isn’t prominent, naturally causing the soldiers under her command to react with resistance and dissatisfaction. Most of this army is composed of Yu Feng’s men, but a small part was placed by other forces.

When everyone heard that a stranger, a female Lieutenant General, arrived, their first reaction was rejection. Small-minded people even ignited conflict in secret, suggesting she rose through rank by selling herself to Yu Feng. Gossip turns into rumor, and so dissatisfaction gradually evolved into disdain and resistance. On Su Jiameng’s first day in office, someone tried to test her authority! (To be continued.
