Forced Pampering: Haughty Husband, Please Restrain Yourself
Chapter 1516 - 1531: Identity
Chapter 1516: Chapter 1531: Identity
It seems that An Sicheng still firmly believes Sun Xuehui’s words.
An Ran gave him a slight smile, without any hint of blame. She knew he meant well for her.
"Don’t worry, Sicheng, I’m getting married next month, to the man I told you about. The reason people at school don’t know is because I haven’t mentioned it. He’s a soldier, and it often isn’t convenient to disclose our identities for the sake of my safety."
To reassure An Sicheng, An Ran specifically mentioned Mu Xingfeng’s military background.
Sure enough, An Sicheng’s eyes lit up when he heard that. "Really, big sis, when did you find another doctor?"
An Ran: "..."
This silly brother is completely obsessed.
"Not another, just this one. Do I seem like someone who’s fickle?" An Ran glared at him, hands on her hips, and asked.
Honestly, he believes whatever Sun Xuehui says. Doesn’t he trust my character?
An Sicheng also felt that his words were inappropriate, scratching his head in denial, "No, definitely not. Whoever marries my sister is really lucky."
After speaking, he gave An Ran a fixed smile. It was great; if the person was a doctor, he could really be at ease about his big sister.
"By the way, big sis, you’re getting married next month? Not waiting for the winter break?"
"No, it should be on New Year’s Day," The date had long been set, the first day of the new year, but An Ran still didn’t dare to state the time definitively until the last moment.
"Then it’s over. We probably don’t have any days off before the winter holiday, and I’ve already taken leave this month, so I might not be able to attend big sis’s wedding," An Sicheng calculated the days, his face unable to hide his disappointment.
Hearing that An Sicheng wanted to attend her wedding warmed An Ran’s heart. "It’s okay, come to the Imperial City during the winter holiday, and I’ll introduce you to your brother-in-law."
Hearing the words "Imperial City," An Sicheng didn’t know what he was thinking, but his eyes flickered a bit. "Sure, I’ll definitely go if I have the chance. Oh, let’s go, big sis, I’m starving."
The restaurant wasn’t far from the school; just a short walk after exiting the school gate, and they arrived. It was mealtime, and there were quite a few people.
An Ran and An Sicheng found a seat by the window. An Ran picked up the menu and ordered six or seven dishes, all of which An Sicheng loved.
"Sis, that’s enough. How can the two of us finish that much?" An Sicheng listened to the familiar dishes An Ran named one after another, feeling an indescribable warmth in his heart.
Since childhood, he knew An Ran wasn’t his biological sister, An Sijia was. But this sister was even closer to him than a real sister.
Back when he was still young, the second sister was willful and often bullied him behind their mother’s back. It was the big sister who would shield him from the second sister’s anger time and again.
She would always save the best food and fun things for him.
Those memories were simple, yet unforgettable for a lifetime.
"You’re still growing, so you should eat more. The dishes here are good, you’ll know when you try them," An Ran closed the menu and handed it to the waiter.
"No restaurant is as good as your cooking," An Sicheng smacked his lips as if reminiscing, and then lowered his eyes. "By the way sis, does Dad know about your wedding?"
An Ran was slightly startled, her delicate fingers lightly spinning the teacup in front of her. "I have nothing to do with the An Family anymore."
Sun Xuehui is, after all, An Sicheng’s biological mother. She didn’t tell him about what Sun Xuehui did to her in the past.
