Fleeing from Konoha
Chapter 1253 - 128: Quelling the Chaos (Part 4)
Boom!
Shukaku, having lost himself in the thrill of destruction, was suddenly struck on the head by something hard, flipping him upside down, and burying his head deep into the sand, taking a big bite of Gold Sand.
Shukaku shook his head, somewhat disoriented, and got back up to see a massive Gold Sand Block hanging above him.
Rasa, panting, stretched out his arm, and the Gold Sand Block descended again, aimed at Shukaku's head.
Shukaku quickly started running, dodging the attack from the Gold Sand Block.
That dizzy feeling? Not something he wanted to experience again.
However, he did notice that Rasa's power was waning.
His mastery of Ninja Techniques seemed to have become rusty.
Compared to the past, it felt weaker.
Thus, he wasn't without a chance at victory.
Looking around at the Hidden Sand Ninja watching him like hawks, a cunning plan sprang to Shukaku's mind.
Without hesitation, he slightly raised his head, and colorful Chakra Balls began to gather at Shukaku's mouth.
An intimidating aura spread, but the Hidden Sand Ninja felt more excited than afraid.
Especially those in the Sealing Squad, they were ready for this moment.
Without hesitation, using their Jutsu, they sent white cloth strips flying, as if alive, attempting to wrap around Shukaku.
However, Shukaku suddenly blew from his mouth, instantly dissipating the colorful Chakra Ball into a cool breeze that fluttered away.
"Wait!"
The Hidden Sand Ninja sensed something amiss, but it was already too late.
Shukaku wore a sinister and sly grin, raising his hands to gather a dense amount of Chakra before rapidly striking the ground.
Boom!
A colossal explosion spread from Shukaku in all directions.
The white strips meant for sealing were torn into dust, and nearby Hidden Sand Ninja who couldn't retreat in time were swept away by the storm created by the explosion amid their cries.
A huge crater appeared on the ground, and standing within it, Shukaku laughed maniacally:
"Ha-ha, how does it feel to be fooled by me, humans! Don't say I'm despicable; this is what I learned from you humans!"
Yet, if the other Tailed Beasts knew, they'd surely look down upon him.
But the times have changed.
Shukaku thought that some human ideas could be quite useful after all.
Seeing the furious yet impotent Hidden Sand Ninja, Shukaku's mood soared to new heights.
Saying this, he jumped out from the crater, facing Rasa with eyes full of disdain.
"Alright, time to handle you, Kazekage. Then I'm going on a rampage here."
"Truly a beast's perspective."
Rasa calmly commented.
"What did you say?"
Shukaku immediately bared his teeth.
A bunch of foolish humans daring to mock Shukaku, the great one?
Rasa ignored Shukaku's words, turning his back on him and started running.
"Stop, you bastard! You can't escape!"
Seeing Rasa fleeing, Shukaku charged after him.
The wind and dust swirled through the Hidden Sand Village once more; the Hidden Sand Ninja tried to obstruct him but could do little to slow Shukaku down.
"As a Kazekage, is running all you can do, Rasa? Stop for me!"
Shukaku shouted madly from behind, full of murderous intent.
Rasa panted, smiling bitterly.
Geez, not exercising for a few months left him this out of shape.
The feel for releasing Ninja Techniques wasn't as smooth as before.
Still, handling Shukaku shouldn't be a big problem.
He must personally end the chaos triggered by his own mistake!
Just then, Shukaku felt his feet sink, a familiar sensation of falling rushed over him again.
The ground under his feet turned into a Gold Sand Swamp.
Shukaku scoffed, shouting dismissively: "The same trick won't work on me a second time!"
Saying so, he intended to rely on his brute strength to forcefully break free from the swamp.
"That's why a beast is ultimately a beast. Even if imitating humans, one can't change his inherent beastly nature."
Rasa stood on a tower, speaking to Shukaku.
"Damn it, next time I'll definitely tear you apart!"
Shukaku roared angrily.
"Too bad, you won't have the chance."
"What?"
Shukaku was slightly stunned, and Rasa didn't explain but instead jumped up and left the tower beneath him.
Gold Sand Block descended fiercely, smashing onto the tower.
The sound of flowing water arose, becoming increasingly fierce, spraying out from the damaged top of the tower, engulfing Shukaku's body in the rushing water.
"Using water to attack? That's really boring, Rasa."
Thinking the opponent would use some advanced technique, seeing this, Shukaku immediately relaxed.
Although it wasn't adept at dealing with water environments, it could still escape, albeit requiring some time.
"This is the reservoir tower with the largest water storage in the Hidden Sand Village. What do you think the opposite tower might be?"
Rasa pointed at the enormous tower on the other side.
"Huh?"
Shukaku didn't know what Rasa was indicating but felt something ominous, a pang in its heart.
Rasa showed Shukaku the answer through his actions.
Gold Sand Block smashed towards the opposite tower.
The tower exploded.
Electric light burst out densely, transforming into countless electric snakes, intertwining with the water.
Shukaku's pupils contracted immediately.
Sizzle sizzle.
"Ughhhhhhhhhh!"
Immediately, the air was filled with Shukaku's heart-wrenching screams and cries.
Even the Hidden Sand Ninja rushing over, upon seeing this scene, instinctively tensed up.
Shukaku, fully covered by lightning, convulsed amidst the electric light, and its tail, thick as a giant python, trembled incessantly.
The Hidden Sand Ninja even smelled an actually non-existent, imagined smell of glue and paste.
"It's killing me! Stop it! Damn Rasa!"
Shukaku begged painfully, cursing Rasa.
Though it was a Tailed Beast, it wasn't immune to pain or fatigue.
It just had better endurance than humans.
However, the current exploding from the tower was horrifyingly high-voltage, and directed by the water flow, densely covered this land, causing Shukaku unbearable suffering.
Along with Rasa's constant use of Gold Sand Block, fiercely smashing its body.
These currents, though inflicting countless pains, were insufficient to defeat Shukaku.
Therefore, taking advantage of Shukaku's paralyzed body, Rasa spared no effort, using the heavy Gold Sand Block to mercilessly crush Shukaku.
This offensive lasted for fifteen minutes, barely ending.
During this time, Shukaku couldn't retaliate once, enduring this brief difficult period under Rasa's furious attack.
Shukaku, barely alive, lay prostrate on the ground, its tail drooping like a withered eggplant, lying listlessly on the wetland still sparking with currents.
Rasa walked over, looking rather disheveled, arriving before Shukaku.
"Des...picable..."
Shukaku slowly uttered these two words.
Rasa ignored Shukaku's curses, raised his arm, and Gold Sand surged in like seawater, covering Shukaku's body, its strong suppressive power making Shukaku difficult to move, especially in its injured state.
"Here comes this annoying Jutsu again, if not for this Jutsu, I wouldn't... damn Second Kazekage..."
Shukaku angrily looked at Rasa using Gold Sand.
Whether Iron Sand or Gold Sand, both were Kekkeigenkai abilities developed based on its power.
And these two Kekkeigenkai strongly restricted its Chakra.
The foundational theories of Iron Sand and Gold Sand were first proposed by Second Kazekage Shamon, perfected by Third Kazekage, and extended unusually by Rasa.
Whether the Third Kazekage or Fourth Kazekage, their power's root was Shukaku.
Defeated by its own power, Shukaku felt extremely resentful.
"However, that kid's hatred towards you hasn't extinguished; I will come back again. Next time... I will personally take your head, remember that, Rasa!"
With these words shouted out, Shukaku's consciousness began to sink into darkness, its eyes powerless and closed.
"Hatred..."
Rasa looked up at the sky, at the unusually bright full moon, breathed out lightly, and stood there silently.
