Flash Marriage: My Penniless Billionaire Husband
Chapter 365: Do You Want To Return To The Hospital?
After Stanley finished speaking, Yvonne remained silent.
James stood aside and was very anxious. He was afraid that she would be persuaded by his words. He was about to speak something, but Yvonne said before him.
"Are you finished? If you are, listen to me. It’s my business whether I give up or not.
It has nothing to do with you." She said.
After that, she turned around and left with James without waiting for Stanley’s reply.
On the way back, James was driving and Yvonne was sitting in the passenger seat.
She hadn’t said anything since she got in the car. She looked depressed.
James felt her depression.
Therefore, he parked the car by the side of the road.
"Yvonne, do you want to go back to the hospital?" James stared at her and asked.
Hearing his question, Yvonne slowly turned to look at him.
"No, I won’t go back." She said blandly.
Her tone was so indifferent that James couldn’t tell what she was thinking.
Although he was unwilling to see Yvonne give up her major, he would never agree Yvonne to work for that scumbag.
He thought for a while and said, "If you want to go back, you have to tell me. Maybe I can help you."
Yvonne nodded.
James then drove the car again.
In the Bateman family’s old mansion.
Wanda’s arrival greatly surprised Nathan.
After all, when she was in the hospital before, she was full of hatred for him.
"Nathan, let’s have a talk." Wanda walked up to him and said.
Nathan nodded.
They sat down on the sofa and a servant brought them tea.
After the servant left, Wanda said. "You just want my shares, don’t you? Well, I promise to give it to you."
Nathan was just about to take a sip of his tea when he heard what she said. His hand paused and he slowly put the cup down, looking at her in surprise.
"Wanda." He said.
Wanda said, "But I have a condition."
Nathan paused for a moment when he heard this, and then he asked. "What’s the condition?"
"Divorce me immediately." Said Wanda.
There was a flash of surprise in Nathan’s eyes.
"Wanda, you..." He said with hesitation.
"Nathan, this is my only condition. If you agree, I will give you my shares. What do you think? This is a good deal for you, isn’t it?" Wanda said coldly.
Nathan looked at her tentatively, but he quickly looked away and said, "Wanda, I don’t want to divorce you."
Wanda snorted. "Nathan, do you still think it’s possible that we can get together? Don’t make it difficult for yourself. Weren’t you with me for benefits before? Isn’t divorcing based on your original goal?"
Wanda’s words caused Nathan’s expression to change.
"Wanda, I never expect that you have always been thinking about me like this." Nathan murmured.
"It doesn’t matter what I think. I’ve said everything I can. That’s it. I’ll give you three days to consider. Three days later, I’ll wait for you at the entrance of the Civil Affairs Bureau. At that time, I will sign the equity transfer agreement, and then apply for the divorce certificate." She said.
Without waiting for his consent, Wanda stood up and walked out of the door.
She left Nathan sitting there and fixedly staring at the place where she had left.
Just as Wanda walked out of the Bateman family, she met Charlie, who had been waiting for her.
"Madam, how is Miss. Gladwell?" Charlie asked anxiously.
He had been restless since he returned from the hospital.
...
When Wanda saw that Charlie was so nervous, she knew that he did not do it on purpose. Indeed, from his visual angle at that time, he could not see Janice.
She said, "Janice and the baby are fine."
Charlie heaved a long sigh of relief when he heard this, and then he pressed his palms together. "Thank God. It’s good that they’re fine."
It wasn’t until Wanda got in her car that Rob drove out.
He had been waiting at the door before, and now he found that Wanda looked much more relaxed.
Only then did he rest assured.
"Chairman, let me send you back." He said.
Wanda paused for a while and said, "No, just send me to the lawyer firm."
Although Rob did not understand why Wanda went to the lawyer firm, he still drove the car over there.
After arriving at the destination, Wanda got out of the car and said to him, "You don’t have to wait for me. Go back. Christopher needs your help."
Hearing what she said, Rob nodded his head and watched her enter the lawyer firm.
After calling a cab online, he drove back to the hospital.
In the hospital.
Apart from a slight pain in her arm, Janice’s other observations had been completely resolved.
She felt uncomfortable staying in the hospital, although the ward was an independent and luxurious VIP ward which equipped with all kinds of facilities, and Christopher was also accompanying her, she still felt uncomfortable because it was not at her home.
Finally, after lying on the bed for a long time, she couldn’t stand it anymore. She asked Christopher, "Chris, how long shall we stay here?"
Christopher was peeling an apple for her. Hearing her question, he stopped peeling and said, "The doctor said that you need be observing for a few days."
"How many days?" Janice continued to ask.
Hearing this, Christopher knew what she was thinking about. It seemed that she couldn’t stay here any longer.
He said, "I don’t know exactly how many days it will take, maybe three to five days."
"What? That’s too long." Janice sighed.
Christopher finished peeling the apple, handed it to her mouth and said, "As the
saying goes, it will takestake 100 days to cure the injuries in the sinews or bones. Although you are not seriously injured like that, you still can’t be careless. Bear with it for a while, and I will always be with you."
His tone was very gentle.
Janice didn’t say anything. She bit into the apple in his hand.
"But... Can I get out of bed and walk around? I’ve sat for too long and my waist is almost broken." She said in a painful tone.
Christopher glanced at her back. Indeed, it was uncomfortable to lie down with such a belly. In addition, her arm was wrapped in an impenetrable plaster. Anyone would feel uncomfortable like that.
He felt a little distressed for her. After a halt, he said, "Wait a minute."
He got up and left the ward. Shortly afterwards, he came back with a brand-new wheelchair.
Staring at the wheelchair, Janice blinked her eyes.
"Chris, where did you get this?" She asked curiously.
Christopher pushed the wheelchair to the front of the bed. "I just bought it downstairs. Would you like to try sitting on it?" He asked.
Janice nodded.
Only then did Christopher carefully carry her to the wheelchair.
When picking out the wheelchairs, he had deliberately picked one of the widened armrests. Now it just happened to be able to hold back Janice’s arm.
"Is it comfortable to sit there?" He adjusted the back of the chair and asked Janice.
"Yes." Janice nodded.
"I’ll take you out for a walk." As he spoke, he took her out of the ward.
...
Because it was a VIP ward, it was separated from the ordinary inpatient building by a long corridor. On the side of the corridor was a large open-air platform where people often got fresh air and basked in the sun.
Christopher took Janice over.
It was in the afternoon and the sun was shining brightly, warming the entire platform.
Christopher fixed the wheelchair in a spot where the sun was shining. Then he asked Janice, "What do you think of here?"
Janice raised her head and saw that the sunlight wasn’t dazzling. It was just right. She nodded her head in satisfaction. "I was just thinking of basking in the sun. Chris, you really understand me."
Christopher smiled and squatted down beside her. He covered the thin blanket on her body and then basked in the sunshine with her.
They stayed on the platform until the sun weakened, then returned to the ward.
When they went back, they found Wanda in the ward.
"Mom? When did you come here?" Christopher took Janice over and asked.
A trace of guilt appeared in Wanda’s heart when she saw Janice in the wheelchair, especially when she saw her wounded arm.
Wanda replied, "I just arrived."
She squatted down and asked Janice, "Janice, does your arm hurt?"
Janice saw that Wanda’s eyes were red and it was obvious that she was blaming herself. She shook her head and said, "It doesn’t hurt. Look, I can still lift it."
In order not to worry Wanda, she deliberately shook her arm slightly.
Seeing this, Wanda was comforted. "That’s good. It’s all my fault for implicating you."
"Mom, don’t blame yourself. It was just an accident. It has nothing to do with you." Janice said.
Wanda also knew that it was useless to say anything at this time, so she restrained her emotions and said, "Oh, I brought some food from home. Nanny Daisy made some bone soup. Drink it while it’s still hot."
As she spoke, she got up and poured a small bowl of soup for her.
Christopher carried Janice back to the bed and put down the small table. He turned around and took the bowl of soup from Wanda’s hand. "Let me do it."
Wanda did not say anything, merely handing him the soup bowl.
Christopher tested the temperature before feeding it to Janice.
Wanda looked at them and gradually calmed down.
Not long after she finished the soup, Janice fell asleep.
Only then did Christopher say to his mother, "Mom, it’s getting late. You should go back home."
Wanda nodded and looked at Janice, who was lying on the bed. She said, "Chris, come with me. I have something to tell you."
Christopher nodded. Before he left, he glanced at Janice worriedly and then followed Wanda out.
They came to the corridor outside.
Wanda hesitated for a while and said, "Chris, I have decided to give Nathan my shares."
Christopher was stunned. "Mom..."
"Don’t worry, let me finish my words. I’ve already thought it through. With the Bateman Group, I’m afraid I won’t be able to sever my relationship with your father forever. This incident with Janice has made me understand that there’s nothing more important than you two. I can take this opportunity to end everything." She said.
Hearing what she said, Christopher did not continue opposing.
He understood his mother’s thoughts. She didn’t want this matter to implicate him and Janice.
He thought for a while and said, "The shares are yours. I have no objection to how you want to deal with them, but don’t force yourself. I believe that Janice doesn’t want to see you make any impulsive decisions because of this matter."
