Chapter 1491: 1490 Why don't you do a French kiss?
An Lin had no control at all.
Qin Mu domineeringly deleted two photos, and after he finished, he snatched the phone from her hand and took two selfies for them.
“So ugly.”
An Lin’s expression was stiff, without a trace of a smile.
Qin Mu’s lips curled slightly, a light smile on his face. The stone wall in the background added a special touch to the photo, “I think it’s great. When we develop it, we’ll put it in your hiking album.”
An Lin glared at him, snatched back the phone, and freed herself from his grasp, “Why aren’t Ranran and Mo Xiuchen up yet? They won’t be coming, right?”
She glanced back, but among the tourists coming up one by one, there was no sign of Mo Xiuchen and Wen Ran.
Qin Mu confidently said, “They’ll definitely come. Xiuchen seldom gets a chance to spend time alone with Ranran. He’s surely not in a hurry. By the time they reach the top, it’ll probably be afternoon.”
“With so many third wheels around, what kind of alone time can he have?” An Lin frowned. Originally, she intended to be with Ranran.
But that guy, Mo Xiuchen, was just too unkind.
Qin Mu chuckled, motioning with his eyes for her to continue, then stepped onto the stone step, “As long as those three little ones aren’t around as third wheels, all these strangers are just logs to Xiuchen.”
It doesn’t affect his romance with his Ranran at all.
“You go on, I’ll wait for Ranran.”
An Lin stayed where she was, speaking to Qin Mu, who had turned back two steps up to look at her.
Qin Mu frowned, “Let’s go. Don’t you want to beat them?”
“I can leave when I see them. It’s not too late.” An Lin was unconcerned.
While the two of them were dawdling, time flew by, and Mo Xiuchen had already brought Wen Ran up to the mid-mountain area where Qin Mu had earlier led An Lin.
Though Wen Ran hadn’t been out much in over a year, taking care of a child every day wasn’t an easy task, so her physical strength wasn’t bad.
“Ranran.”
Mo Xiuchen extended his hand, and Wen Ran immediately placed her hand on it, using his strength to climb up.
“Are you tired?”
Mo Xiuchen asked with a smile.
Wen Ran glanced at the path to the right, “Not tired, let’s continue.”
“Okay.”
If she wasn’t tired, Mo Xiuchen could certainly continue.
**
Just after eleven in the morning, as An Lin and Qin Mu leisurely reached the mountaintop, they saw Mo Xiuchen and Wen Ran sitting on a smooth boulder.
Mo Xiuchen fed a biscuit to Wen Ran, then used his finger to wipe away a crumb from the corner of her mouth.
An Lin’s eyes widened as if she’d seen a ghost, utterly shocked, “Xiuchen, Ranran, you didn’t come up by car, did you?”
Qin Mu was also surprised for a few seconds, but when he saw Mo Xiuchen’s smug smile, he immediately understood that he and An Lin had been tricked by Mo Xiuchen.
Seeing An Lin’s shocked expression, Wen Ran couldn’t help but burst into laughter, “An Lin, pay up fair and square.”
“Who would believe that you walked up? We didn’t see you two the whole way. Come on, did you really take a car up?”
An Lin’s eyes flickered, her face full of skepticism.
“Ranran, show An Lin the evidence and convince her.” Mo Xiuchen lightly curled his lips and passed a bottle of milk over.
Wen Ran giggled, following her husband’s lead, “Xiuchen, you’re so clever.”
She took a sip of milk and leisurely took out her phone, showing An Lin the photos they had taken along the way, “We switched paths right here, ah, just when you and Qin Mu returned to the main road.”
“You two are too sneaky.”
An Lin was not convinced.
She discontentedly questioned Mo Xiuchen, “Xiuchen, are you so obsessed with winning that you’d take Ranran up such a steep path? How could you bear it?”
“And why wouldn’t I?” Mo Xiuchen raised an eyebrow, “Ranran grew up in G City, she must have come here countless times before. She’s definitely more familiar with this mountain path than you are.”
“I was foolish to wait for you on the way.”
An Lin rolled her eyes, reaching to grab the bag of biscuits from Mo Xiuchen’s hand. Though his eyes were fixed on Wen Ran, he easily avoided her reach, “If you want something to eat, ask Ah Mu.”
“Stingy.”
An Lin glared at Mo Xiuchen angrily, too stingy.
Wen Ran put away her phone, smiling, “An Lin, now I’m going to make a request. You won’t cheat, right?”
“Let me have a biscuit.”
The less Mo Xiuchen let her have, the more she wanted.
Wen Ran laughed lightly, turning to Mo Xiuchen, “Xiuchen, give her a biscuit.”
“Ah Mu.”
Mo Xiuchen frowned and called out to Qin Mu.
Qin Mu shrugged, “An Lin wants a biscuit from your bag.”
“Xiuchen, give her one, just one.” Wen Ran held up one finger.
“Fine, for Ranran’s sake, you can have one.” Mo Xiuchen said nonchalantly, pulling out a biscuit and handing it to An Lin, simultaneously stating the condition, “Our condition is for you and Ah Mu to have a French kiss.”
An Lin’s outstretched hand stopped short of the biscuit as Mo Xiuchen’s words made her draw back like she’d been electrified.
“I won’t eat it then. Propose another condition.”
Upon hearing An Lin’s refusal, Qin Mu’s eyes dimmed a bit, his lips gently pressed together, but he said nothing.
Mo Xiuchen chuckled, “The terms we propose are our right, you just need to fulfill them.”
“Ranran.”
An Lin called out in a drawn-out voice.
Wen Ran just smiled silently.
She had no objections to Mo Xiuchen’s condition.
“Ah Mu, you wouldn’t be as cowardly as An Lin, would you?”
Seeing An Lin’s reluctance, Mo Xiuchen turned to Qin Mu. The look in his eyes clearly said, “I’m doing this to help you, seize the opportunity.”
Qin Mu’s eyes flickered, but before he could say anything, An Lin had already warned, “Anyway, I won’t agree. If you agree, then go kiss some other woman.”
“An Lin, it’s just one kiss, and you and Qin Mu are married. It’s not like you haven’t done it before.”
Wen Ran spoke nonchalantly, but An Lin frowned, “Ranran, you and Xiuchen do it first and show us.”
“I never said now, after we go back in the afternoon. There are too many people here,” Mo Xiuchen added casually.
“A bet is a bet, we’ll agree.”
Qin Mu didn’t seek An Lin’s opinion, agreeing on his own, then turned his gaze, scanning An Lin’s lips. He recalled many intimate moments with her.
“Great, Ah Mu, so decisive. Once we’re home, Ranran and I will personally verify it.” Mo Xiuchen smiled smugly.
Wen Ran agreed, “An Lin, you said yourself to honor the bet. It’s just a kiss, not having a baby. Let’s settle it.”
“You two better never fall into my hands.”
An Lin pressed her lips tight, gritting her teeth and said.
Her words elicited hearty laughter from Mo Xiuchen, who wrapped his arm around Wen Ran’s shoulder, confidently declaring, “Don’t worry. As long as I’m here, Ranran will never fall into your hands.”
