Chapter 110: Breaking the Charm Technique
Chapter 110: Chapter 110: Breaking the Charm Technique
Tushan Feishang listened to Qiao Suluo’s words. Seeing her confident and composed demeanor, he gave a bewitching smile. He hadn’t expected her to actually have a solution. Only then did he sit up straight. The corner of his eyes twitched slightly as he raised an eyebrow. "Alright."
Seeing him like this, Qiao Suluo felt a bit strange. "Aren’t you going to ask the South Wind Tower Master?"
Tushan Feishang drawled lazily, "Draft the contract first, and then I will go ask the South Wind Tower Master."
Qiao Suluo looked at him with skepticism. "Are you sure there won’t be a problem?"
"This concerns my freedom and whether I can return to my wife’s side. Naturally, there won’t be a problem." As he looked down at her, his gaze—though currently rippling with bewitching charm—concealed a deep, probing dark glint. It was as if he could see right through her facade and into her heart.
Qiao Suluo thought to herself that he was right. No matter what, Tushan Feishang definitely wouldn’t want to stay in the Nanfeng Building. Furthermore, this would save her several dozen taels of silver. What couldn’t she do with that silver? She could send Que Hongjin to the academy earlier, and the silver would be more than enough to rent a house or even a shop. However, if she wanted to buy a small house, it definitely wouldn’t be enough; a house would cost at least more than one hundred taels of silver. But with her share of the profits from Zhao Tingci’s tofu workshop, she believed she would be able to buy a house very soon. That way, they would also have a home in the county. At this thought, Qiao Suluo’s eyes curved into a beaming smile. She felt that the South Wind Tower Master was probably a pretty good person.
Watching the smile on Qiao Suluo’s face, Tushan Feishang’s fox-like eyes shimmered with a faint purple luster, making him look as though he were born with natural affection. "Are you that happy?"
Qiao Suluo’s eyes curved into crescents as she gave a sweet, clear smile. "Of course. Because this way, I can make it up to you and restore your freedom." In truth, she was happy about saving the silver, but she couldn’t say that. What if she misspoke and Tushan Feishang continued down a dark path?
Tushan Feishang looked at her deeply, a smile failing to reach his eyes. "Is my wife really looking forward to my return this much? Are you that happy at the thought of having me?
"Have they been starving my wife?"
At first, Qiao Suluo didn’t understand what he meant. But when she looked up and met his long, narrow eyes, she felt as though they contained a whirlpool as deep as the sea, threatening to swallow her whole. It was both bewitching and provocative. She couldn’t help but swallow hard. "N-No..."
"Is that so?" Seeing her dazed expression followed by a blush, Tushan Feishang seemed to realize something. His slender fingers landed on her collarbone and directly pulled open the collar of her clothes. Her collarbone area was exposed, though she still had some baby fat, making the bone itself unnoticeable. At a glance, he saw the marks there. One belonged to Que Hongjin, and the other to Bai Qianluo.
"They both actually formed a Contract with you?" Tushan Feishang was in sheer disbelief at the sight. He knew better than anyone just how much they despised Qiao Suluo.
Qiao Suluo felt that Tushan Feishang’s expression was currently unpredictable, making his thoughts even harder to guess. However, since he had already seen it, there was no point in denying it. "Mhm, y-yes... that’s right." As she spoke, she tugged at her collar, trying to cover it up.
But Tushan Feishang held her down, refusing to let her move as his slender fingers rubbed against the two marks. His fingers were somewhat cold. As they occasionally brushed against the marks, which had become extremely sensitive ever since the Contracts were formed, a tingling sensation washed over her. Qiao Suluo nearly let out a moan. She hurriedly clamped her mouth shut. After forming a Contract, her body wasn’t like before; instead, it had become far more sensitive.
A surge of hostility welled up in Tushan Feishang’s eyes, and the force of his hand grew a bit heavier.
"Mmph... don’t..." Qiao Suluo’s long eyelashes fluttered lightly like butterfly wings. Due to the unbearable sensitivity of her body, they cast trembling shadows over her eyelids, and a hint of heat rose at the corners of her eyes.
Tushan Feishang’s breath hitched. He had to admit that at this moment, whether it was her voice or her gaze, Qiao Suluo possessed a fatal attraction to males. He closed his eyes and pressed his slender fingers against the spot between his brows, suppressing the chaotic emotions in his heart. With a hint of mockery, he asked, "Did you drug them?"
Logically speaking, even if they were drugged, Que Hongjin and Bai Qianluo wouldn’t have formed a Contract with her. Yet, the marks proved everything. This meant that while he was gone, a lot of things he didn’t know about had happened. Furthermore, her sudden change in personality was a complete mystery.
Qiao Suluo hastily waved her hands. "N-No, I really didn’t drug them. If you don’t believe me, you can ask Que Hongjin and Bai Qianluo." She couldn’t let Tushan Feishang think she had used some scheming tactics. If he suspected her intentions and refused to go home with her, the difficulty of winning him over would skyrocket.
Seeing her look as frightened as a startled deer, Tushan Feishang drawled, "I suppose you wouldn’t dare lie to me."
Only then did Qiao Suluo breathe a sigh of relief. She picked up the nearby pen and paper to quickly draft the contract. She wished she could immediately finish the task at hand and get out of there. The contract she wrote was clearly organized. Once finished, she handed it to Tushan Feishang. "See if there’s anything else that needs to be added."
Tushan Feishang looked at the handwriting and the well-structured clauses. His gaze deepened. It was truly bizarre that an incompetent fool could actually write—not only was the penmanship beautiful, but she could even draft such content.
He beckoned her. "Come here."
Every fiber of Qiao Suluo’s being resisted, screaming at her not to go over. "Um, if there’s anything to add, just tell me from there. It’ll be easier for me to continue editing the contract."
Seeing her reaction, Tushan Feishang flashed a dangerously bewitching smile. "What, afraid I’ll eat you?
"If so, why did you want to take me back in the first place? Or was every word you said a lie?"
Qiao Suluo shook her head. "No, you have to believe me." She blinked her clear eyes, looking exceptionally sincere.
"Then come here. I won’t say it a second time."
Only then did Qiao Suluo get up and dawdle her way over to Tushan Feishang’s chair. She stood quietly in front of him, looking at him with the picture of obedience. However, Tushan Feishang knew she was incredibly cunning. Reaching out, he gave a sharp tug and pulled her straight into his arms.
Completely caught off guard, Qiao Suluo tumbled against his chest. The sudden, faint fragrance that drifted into her nose made her involuntarily dazed. In that moment of disorientation, Tushan Feishang stroked her cheek, looking directly into her eyes. His gaze rippled with a mesmerizing purple hue, as if stealing her soul. "Be a good girl and tell me. Who are you, and where do you come from?"
Meeting the bewitching purple luster in his fox-like eyes, Qiao Suluo’s gaze unfocused. She opened her mouth involuntarily, "I am..."
At that very instant, the system screamed, "Host, wake up! Don’t let your soul get captured!"
Qiao Suluo shivered violently inside and snapped out of it, but she pretended to remain under his spell. "I am Qiao Suluo."
Tushan Feishang had been staring at Qiao Suluo’s eyes the whole time, so he naturally noticed how she regained her clarity in a split second. She could actually break his Charm Technique. Things were getting more and more interesting. Since that was the case, he would play along with her for a bit and see what her true objective was.
