First Immortal of the Sword

Chapter 2171 - Don’t Leave Even a Scrap of Armor Behind

Chapter 2171 – Don’t Leave Even a Scrap of Armor Behind

The clustered peaks of the Celestial Yao Mountains were bathed in divine radiance. It was like a grand, otherworldly pure land.

Within the meeting hall.

“They say that Su Yi is the reincarnation of both the Swordmaster of Spiritual Desolation and the unparalleled Sword Demon Yi Daoxuan of the Endless Ocean!”

“Is that true?”

“Word came from Qingwu Divine Court. There shouldn’t be any mistake.”

“That’s right. Not long ago, I heard rumors that a group of the God Domain’s top orthodoxies sent their experts to the River of Epochs, all to destroy that young man they call Su Yi!”

…The leader of the Celestial Yao Mountains, Han Dongzhi, was discussing recent developments with the high elders.

They’d only just received orders from Qingwu Divine Court. Their mission was to send their forces to search the Billowing Blue Realm for leads regarding Su Yi.

They even had a copy of his portrait.

“Capturing Su Yi is a matter of the utmost importance, and it’s drawn widespread attention in the God Domain! It’s not just the Billowing Blue Realm; bounties on his head have been issued throughout the Four Great Divine Continents.

“The Western Paradise Spirit Mountains, the Three Purities Daoist Court, the Divine Court of Providence, Endless Transformations Divine Mountain, and around ten other top factions have all expressed their intentions to leave no stone unturned in their pursuit of Su Yi!

“Incredible! He’s just one person, yet he provoked so many factions into issuing a joint decree against him. This is simply unheard of!

“From this, it isn’t hard to tell how troublesome an opponent Su Yi is. Otherwise, how could he possibly have caused such a massive disturbance?”

“What should we do, Sect Leader?”

…As they conversed, the crowd looked at Sect Leader Han Dongzhi.

Han Dongzhi said calmly, “Naturally, we must act in accordance with Qingwu Divine Court’s decree, but I sincerely doubt Su Yi is hiding in the Billowing Blue Realm. We… have nothing to worry about.”

The others nodded instinctively.

But then, an urgent voice resounded from outside the hall.

“Sect Leader, a yao god has arrived, and he says he’s declaring war against the Celestial Yao Mountains!”

The crowd was stunned. For a moment, they almost thought they were hearing things.

Who in the Billowing Blue Realm would dare to declare war against the Celestial Yao Mountains? Whoever they were, they were simply sick of living!

“Do you recognize the yao god in question?” Han Dongzhi said gravely.

He could tell that something wasn’t right here. Why would a yao god arrive out of nowhere and declare war for no reason?

There had to be something strange afoot.

“No idea, but I can say with certainty that he isn’t an expert of the Billowing Blue Realm,” said the old man who’d come to deliver the report. “He says he’s here to settle a blood debt and avenge the Yi Family!”

Avenge the Yi Family?

The gathered sect higher-ups instantly understood.

“Strange. The Yi Family was a human faction, and they met their end a long time ago. Why would a yao god suddenly show up to avenge them?” someone asked in confusion.

It was simply unreasonable, and far too strange.

“Come on, let’s go.” Sect Leader Han Dongzhi immediately made up his mind.

A yao god had arrived. No matter his intentions, they couldn’t afford to be negligent.

……

Outside the gates of the Celestial Yao Mountains, a treasure ship hovered beneath clear blue skies.

Su Yi sat casually in a wicker chair, holding a gourd of wine. His eyes narrowed in contentment as he enjoyed the sunlight; his time in Grassy Creek Village had left him with a taste for sunbathing.

A’Ling, Yang Shuang’er, and Immortal Queen Zi Jue stood there in a daze.

They’d only just reached the Celestial Yao Mountains, but that yao god had already leaped overboard, blocked the sect’s gates, and openly declared war!

That’s right. He didn’t adopt any kind of strategy, nor did he make any kind of preparations. He just walked up and declared war!!

This direct, tyrannical approach left Immortal Queen Zi Jue, A’Ling, and Yang Shuang’er stunned.

“Is that senior… really not at all afraid?” murmured Yang Shuang’er.

The little monkey’s ten-foot figure seemed utterly minuscule compared to the ten-thousand-foot sect gates.

But when Yang Shuang’er looked at him, she felt an indescribable astonishment, and a certain image rose unbidden to her mind.

A valiant warrior guarding a pass. Not even an army ten thousand strong could get past him!

“Insane! He’s got to be insane!” murmured Immortal Queen Zi Jue. “Otherwise, how could he do something so frenzied?

She was an Immortal Queen of the Celestial Yao Mountains. She understood the sect’s terrifyingly firm foundations far better than most.

Never mind a single yao god; not even a group of them working together would dare to cause trouble here.

Because they were backed by one of the greatest orthodoxies in the Southern Flame Divine Continent, Qingwu Divine Court!!

Who’d dare to provoke them?

“Big Sister, you and your master have no idea how powerful that senior is, so why are you so convinced that he’s acting unwisely?” asked A’Ling, a bit unconvinced.

She was astonished too, but she was astonished by the little monkey’s valiant bravery, not his foolishness. She most certainly didn’t think he was throwing his life away.

“You’re wrong,” Immortal Queen Zi Jue said with conviction. “That senior has obviously yet to become a Master God. Even disregarding everything else, the Celestial Yao Mountains defensive formations are enough to trap any Fortune Realm Greater God around! That senior has absolutely no hope of victory!”

As she said this, she glanced at Su Yi.

It was as if she wasn’t saying this for A’Ling, but rather, for Su Yi’s benefit.

What drove Immortal Queen Zi Jue insane was that even now, Xiao Jian was still leisurely sprawled out in his wicker chair, sipping wine. He almost seemed disappointed that the spectacle wasn’t grander!

“Sir, that esteemed yao god is risking his life for you. Aren’t you… at all concerned about his safety?” Immortal Queen Zi Jue couldn’t help but ask.

Her expression was a bit unsightly. She didn’t care in the slightest whether Su Yi and the little monkey lived or died, but she was worried that this would implicate her and her disciple, Yang Shuang’er!

Su Yi took a sip of wine and said, “I urge you to take this time to look at the Celestial Yao Mountains. Take it all in.”

“Why?” Immortal Queen Zi Jue didn’t get it.

“Because after today, this orthodoxy will cease to exist in this world,” Su Yi said casually.

“???”

“Come on, let’s move further away. That way, the aftermath won’t affect us, and the little monkey won’t have to divert his attention toward keeping us safe,” said Su Yi.

He’d only just said this when the rapid-fire beating of a drum resounded from the distant mountains. Each drumbeat went off like a thunderclap, resounding throughout the nine heavens and ten earths.

Every expert in the Celestial Yao Mountains was startled into action, and all of them readied themselves for battle.

Countless brilliant streaks of light whooshed through the sky with fierce momentum.

Sect Leader Han Dongzhi and the other sect higher-ups led the way and stood closest to the gates.

The beating of the drum rang out, and heaven and earth were full of murderous intent.

The skies over the Celestial Yao Mountains were packed with densely clustered figures. There were so many of them that their auras alone made the wind and clouds shift.

And all of them were focused on the little monkey standing outside the gates.

The monkey stood alone, ten feet tall and powerfully built. Chaos qi flowed like a waterfall down his fur, and he emanated an invisible, ferocious pressure.

Han Dongzhi and the other higher-ups’ gazes focused. He really is a yao god! And he’s obviously an extraordinarily powerful one at that!!

“I am Sect Leader Han Dongzhi of the Celestial Yao Mountains. Might I ask why you’ve come?” Han Dongzhi said gravely, his voice booming like thunder throughout the surrounding area.

The little monkey cleaned out his ears, then grinned, leaped into the air and hovered in the sky.

Boom!

His eyes blazed like golden lamps, and when he rose to his full height, a fierce gale of murderous intent pierced the clouds and shot into the firmament.

The nearby clouds collapsed, and the sky caved in.

The monkey suddenly seemed to sprout additional heads and limbs, and his height shot up. He was now a ten-thousand foot giant with three heads and six arms! Each of his limbs was as thick as a mountain.

Every breath he took was like a fierce gale and a thunderclap, stirring up the surrounding sky and filling it with baleful winds. The chaos energy flowing down its fur was like molten lava, dazzlingly, searingly bright.

The little monkey was now like an unparalleled, valiant god of a bygone age, proud, unfettered, and so ferocious that his terrifying aura spread throughout the nine heavens and the ten earths!

A series of gasps rang out. Who knew how many of the experts stationed throughout the mountains felt shaken, their scalps numb and their hearts quivering with fright?

All of them were yao cultivators, and the vast majority had yet to become gods. When they faced the ten-thousand-foot-tall “little monkey” at the gates, they felt as if their very bloodlines had been suppressed, and they could barely breathe.

When a fierce tiger walked, all other beasts got out of the way.

The little monkey was a natural divinity born of the chaos. If you divided yao cultivators’ bloodlines, he would absolutely be at the top of the list.

And based purely on his cultivation, he was far beyond the vast majority of the yao cultivators present!

“Your cultivation base is shocking; you’re obviously no ordinary person. So why declare war against the Celestial Yao Mountains?” Han Dongzhi said solemnly.

In truth, he was inwardly quite shocked, too. He could tell that the Little Monkey wasn’t at all weaker than a Limit Realm Creation God. No, if anything, he was stronger!

“That’s right. Whatever it is, I’m sure we can resolve it. If we somehow offended you, please, tell us. We’ll naturally compensate you.”

Several other higher-ups spoke up. They planned to get a feel for the little monkey’s abilities and origins, then react accordingly.

The little monkey’s golden eyes flashed with heaven-shaking ferocity. He grinned and said, “No need for that nonsense. Today, I’m going to flatten this place, and kill until not even a scrap of armor remains!”

Boom!

The little monkey attacked.

His towering figure blazed with divine radiance as bright red as molten lava, and his six arms circled, condensing a Daoist seal like a blazing sun.

Its searing light was intense beyond measure, and it melted even the nearby skies.

From a distance, it was as if the little monkey were holding a divine sun aloft and slamming it into the distant Celestial Yao Mountains.

The Divine Cycle of the Sun!

Its momentum was like a blazing sun, and as it cycled, it melted all Daos and eradicated all wicked creatures and malevolent entities.

Han Dongzhi and the other higher-ups’ expressions shifted, and their hair stood on end. What terrifying, ferocious power!!

Boom!!!

It was as if the skies collapsed and the earth split. When the little monkey’s strike landed, the Celestial Yao Mountains swayed violently. Their defensive formation immediately circulated, and the endless power of its divine formation burst forth.

But the monkey’s attack dealt the formation a terrifying blow. Many of its formation markings broke and scattered.

It blocked the attack in the end, but the aftershock reached many of the mountains’ experts. Many fell from the sky, badly injured. Some were even knocked directly unconscious.

Desperate cries resounded throughout the heavens.

Han Dongzhi and the other higher-ups’ eyes bulged so hard they almost burst.
