Find a Troubled Girl after leaving the Guild
Chapter 1068 - 522: The Divine Artisan’s Whereabouts (Part 2)
Chapter 1068: Chapter 522: The Divine Artisan’s Whereabouts (Part 2)
"Just a little more, yesterday everyone agreed to discuss here again."
A Xiang nodded and watched as Li Ang and the others took out all the manuscripts collected from the secret library once more.
After almost two hours, Li Ang stood up holding a notebook.
"Is it done?" A Xiang looked at the little notebook.
Inside, all the scattered information found here had been organized in order; the scattered pieces had been recopied onto it, and an index was made for the collected volumes to cross-reference with the documents left by Ernest.
Turning to the last page written by the Cloud Wanderer female member who came to help, he presented it to A Xiang, who read it aloud.
"While I remain a mortal, relying on memory to reconstruct that divine furnace core, I was ultimately unable to achieve it. I must seek a successor, one who must be a warrior of immense strength to once again emulate the deeds of the predecessors. I hope the legacy of the Fire Thief doesn’t end with me."
"This was Ernest’s last words," Li Ang said.
The Cloud Wanderer female member said, "I felt his intense sense of dissatisfaction, even inferiority."
"Not to that extent," Aira said, "He was proud and realized he truly couldn’t reach the miracles of the Ancient Gods."
Earlier, everyone had already learned that this secret library was built because Ernest attempted to emulate the Creation Furnace.
"Let’s not talk about how he was," A Xiang scratched his hair, "From what I understand, he never completed it, which seems not much related to his abilities, but more to his reliance on memory to design this place."
"Exactly, that’s how it reads on the surface."
Li Ang analyzed with the notebook in hand: "In Ernest’s recollections, he personally witnessed the operation process of the Creation Furnace, and as a Legendary Artisan, he certainly could discern part of the workings of this divine creation."
Li Ang had no superstition towards divine spirits; after becoming a Spiritual Forger, he used Spirit Casting Art from Zosia to recreate the Apocalypse Device, a feat within Ernest’s grasp in analyzing the Creation Furnace.
A Xiang continued: "Then why did he want to emulate it."
"Once the information was organized, we could roughly speculate."
Li Ang said: "Ernest inherited the mantle of the ’Fire Thief’. Originally, these people were secretly altering the permissions of the Creation Furnace, but something likely happened afterward that forced him to leave the Creation Furnace."
"His strength was limited; unable to steal the ’fire seed’ like the previous Fire Thieves, he resorted to an artisan’s attempt—emulating a Creation Furnace to seize global authority with similar extraordinary machinery."
"A bit audacious." After several seconds of silence, A Xiang commented.
"I greatly admire those daring to engage in such practice." Diao said.
"Sounds very cool." Lily said.
"In the end, he found himself still unable to succeed. Perhaps due to incomplete analysis of the Creation Furnace or hurried departure without recording the structure, he blamed memory for his failure, thus setting off to search for successors, leaving the secret library sealed." Li Ang set the notebook down.
"Was the Creation Furnace snatched back by servants of the Ancient Gods?" A Xiang asked.
"Possibly," Li Ang nodded, "It’s equally possible it’s some plot of demons or those associated with demons, considering that using the Dragon Race to explore this secret library was a demon’s scheme."
"This still doesn’t solve where the mechanism is." Someone from Cloud Wanderer said.
"From what we analyzed before, there should be information pointing to the Creation Furnace, but none of it has been seen." A Xiang said as well.
Initially, it was thought deciphering all the words Ernest left behind would reveal the structure here.
Perhaps other critical knowledge exists, and Ernest alone took the construction plans from here.
This issue temporarily met an impasse.
Possibly due to the secret library absorbing various magic power and spirits, slowing down the wall’s influence on time flow, coupled with other techniques Ernest utilized, Li Ang’s system map couldn’t show which island within the aerial realm they were on.
If it were possible to know outside, behind the walls, impatient Sky Knights present would have already started dismantling.
Currently, they refrained from acting solely due to the fear of causing unforeseen consequences.
At this moment, the plan everyone silently considered once again resurfaced.
"Where did Ernest go?" Lily was more curious about Ernest’s experiences and asked.
"For that, you’d have to ask Aifei." Li Ang looked towards Aira.
The Blondie Douding flexed her intricate little finger, causing some metal-edged sheets of paper to float, interlocking in mid-air in a disorderly fashion.
Observing the content on the pages, everyone understood why she assembled them this way.
These were drafts, from the simple illustrations on them, they could recognize them as simplified maps.
"These papers were collected along with some of Ernest’s final pieces of information, likely drawn as he began envisioning where to find successors, sketching ideas until later acquiring a real map to plan before leaving aside these papers."
Aira explained to everyone: "This is a map of the Ignis Sky Realm, and since I’m familiar with this aerial realm, the integration will be done by me."
On the map draft assembled by the Blondie Douding, those acquainted with the sky map could roughly identify some islands.
"These points might be the directions he pursued."
Aifei pointed at several clearly marked contents.
Li Ang added, "These locations could potentially be linked to the Creation Furnace."
Upon saying so, everyone’s focus heightened, looking forward to Aira’s explanation.
"Beast Soul Island, famous for warriors, Elf Forbidden Area near Giant Garden, known for legends of Elf Race warriors, these are straightforward for you, and then there’s Rainbow Stone Island, tainted and abandoned by the bones of a dead Colossal Pegasus Beast, plus..."
Li Ang furrowed his brows at one position questioning, "What about here?"
"Southwest Region, a desolate remote place, following prior patterns, he picked places producing warriors in the Ignis Sky Realm, theoretically, this is another, but I haven’t heard much about it." Aira pondered.
"Could it be, Olin Island?" Farlonio suddenly remarked.
Everyone’s gaze shifted to her, and due to the previous matter with Urbian, handled by her disguised as a Blondie Douding, she now also noted Olin Island as the empire’s origin.
"Why bring up Olin Island again." Li Ang said.
"Again?" Aira looked at him.
Summarizing in a few sentences about previous events, Li Ang said: "Within our organized timeline of Ernest’s past, he mentioned the rise of barbarians in the Southwest Region, worthy of his notice, indicating that back then this barbarian group wasn’t as insignificant in Lamanians’ eyes."
"Ultimately, they established the Holy Speriel Empire." Aira said.
"From initial activity to establishing a nation, less than two hundred years elapsed, not elongated yet fits within Ernest’s era."
"Whether Ernest influenced these people, there’s completely no lead; he may have merely passed through. However, Olin Island now stands in ruins, the only remaining usable item is..."
Li Ang paused, realizing the most mysterious area on Olin Island, a certain tower, the core creation being right in his possession.
Noticing his reaction, companions appeared expectant.
Li Ang looked at Falo: "Do you remember those two originally serving the Empire, who disembarked in Makena?"
Falo nodded, and Li Ang, recounting the incident of meeting Rose in the City of the Ship’s Rudder, simultaneously opened the Transcendent Treasure Vault, retrieving the Chamber of Ouroboros.
Before, he couldn’t discern much about this object, pondering afterward showing other strong figures for insights.
Now that it’s mentioned, he retrieved it along the way.
"Take a look, what’s the power on this thing—"
Just as Li Ang spoke halfway, the sphere before everyone’s eyes suddenly vibrated, darting towards the central large construct of the secret library.
The "Chamber of Ouroboros" acted like a magnet, forcefully attracting and dismantling the furnace structure, drawing everything towards it, while the entire secret library emitted intense tremors, as if about to collapse.
Li Ang’s system map flickered, the position’s isolation became visible.
In Makena Island Country, Melegon raised his head, a violent earthquake abruptly struck, creating fissures at the magic navigation beacon where the Spirit Core Committee resided.
