Chapter 1045: Chapter 510: Throne of Luxury

"Everyone, forgive my ignorance, I’ve only had a basic understanding of the rare Dragon Species known as the Wyrm Dragon, and much of my knowledge was gained through this adventure."

Sif held a notebook in her right hand and raised a pencil in her left, "You all mentioned earlier that Wyrm Dragons like to corrode everything, which is how they grow, so Fafnir, as one of the rulers of this race, must be the same."

"Of course," Li Ang said.

The young girl posed her question, "The Dwarf Civilization core we are about to reach is likely the origin of the Wyrm Dragon disaster, or even directly Fafnir’s lair, because the Dragon named Valarg also aimed here for dimensional teleportation. Logically, everything here should have been corroded, so why is Fafnir’s behavior here more like that of other Dragon Race members?"

Li Ang silently observed her, contemplating how much more information she truly knew about this Secret Realm compared to what was given to the Cloud Wanderer.

Since she is indeed Viel Taube’s daughter, considering her age, no matter how much of a genius she might be, her growth would be limited; she couldn’t have knowledge through the ages.

Perhaps her target is the core here, but she isn’t too clear about it, at least concerning the Dragon Race, she isn’t very clear.

Being someone associated with Demons, didn’t this girl know that this place had been occupied by the Dragon Race?

"We didn’t find it strange because the Wind Dragon Lord said so," Diao said.

The two girls, of similar age, exchanged glances.

Sif didn’t inquire further about the Wind Dragon, although when the elusive Annette appeared in the form of a Jade Cat, she cast a curious glance over, yet she seemed to have her own speculations and did not come over to ask.

After all, amid the conversation of the Sky Knights, a certain atmosphere formed, while she felt a sense of detachment not because she couldn’t fit in, but because she had no desire to integrate.

Li Ang didn’t know what Diao and Sif had talked about before, but they seemed to have a bit of a rapport.

"Hmm, are you doubting this dragon, meow?" the Jade Cat said on Li Ang’s shoulder.

"No, no, but it does not match the exterior scenery."

Li Ang patted her cat waist.

Sif’s question likely wasn’t hers alone, but generally, the treasure at hand would surpass any subsequent discussion, and indeed there were no enemies around, so they seized first and asked later.

Before entering, they had no idea it would be like this here, so they weren’t in a hurry to discuss.

It seemed like Annette was expressing a desire now; when she spoke, no one analyzed or speculated, they just watched her, waiting for her to speak.

"If Fafnir does not corrode this place entirely, there’s only one possibility, hmm aww—"

Annette yawned and said, "That is, it really likes this place."

Like it?

Although it might not seem very convincing, it should make sense for the Dragon Race.

"It doesn’t seem wrong; if it were not interested in the Dwarf Civilization, it might not have come here," Li Ang said.

"Perhaps the palace ahead is the Evil Dragon’s spoils, and it may perch arrogantly on the only remaining throne in the ruin core, watching everything it caused," Elaphia said.

After commenting on this affair like a poet, Blondie Douding then pointed to a direction; everyone followed his gaze to find many sharp, deep, and curled notches.

Li Ang thought for a moment and opened the Transcendent Treasure Vault.

This Storage Spell, compared to the coarse Dimensional Rifts, drew A Xiang and the others’ attention as Li Ang took out Fafnir’s unused Sharp Claw and measured it against the air.

"It’s four or five times smaller, but it should be the kind of claw that left this mark," Li Ang said.

"That is undoubtedly Fafnir’s claw marks," Elaphia said.

"What does this indicate?" Liluliss leaned forward to ask.

"A beast marks its territory this way; it seems Fafnir is indeed satisfied with here," Diao said.

Everyone looked around the claw marks; there, smelted metal ingots scattered everywhere. Some weren’t toppled, but originally positioned on conveyor belts.

The machines here were similar to a factory. Outside the wide conveyor belts, there were channels recessed for transporting molten iron. Now, cooled liquid metal covers the bottom of the grooves, reflecting variegated radiance.

Even without the firelight of smelting them, these Magic Metals still paint this space like a rainbow, and the oversized smelting room could allow a Giant Dragon to roll within, with the destroyed angles of some equipment even suggesting how it might sleep here.

"Do Wyrm Dragons also have a penchant for treasure? Or is it exclusive to Fafnir? After all, its kin wallow in muck," Sif noted.

"Some dwelled among rampant trees; I saw them when I was on Mengze Island," Li Ang said, "The ones in the muck in this Secret Realm are possibly left here because they aren’t strong enough, while the stronger ones were ordered by Valarg to be here."

"Learned something," Sif glanced at him and continued writing diligently.

As they advanced further, everyone marveled at the former splendor of the Dwarf Civilization and gradually understood a bit why Prince Wyrm Dragon valued this place.

Similar tunnels and smelting rooms came from all directions, nearly tunneling through a mountain. Not only Magic Metals were transported from other angles but various Gemstones as well.

The number of Gemstones was significantly fewer, replaced by large patches of gemstone powder, like a snow field deep enough to bury one’s knees. They were the result after their power was absorbed, Fafnir’s leftover waste after devouring them as snacks.

The remaining Gemstones, liquid metals from all directions, metal ingots, glassworks, completed Weapons, and other shining objects arrived through various colored rails.

In the ever-expanding underground space, just with the light source provided by Elaphia and reflections from these shimmering items, one could see the luxurious starry scene within the entire space.

"This is truly... given my adventure experiences, it’s remarkable," A Xiang sighed.

Both the leaders of the previous Celestial Group and Li Ang, Elaphia felt the same.

Even amidst the complex shock of the Mechanical Creation Furnace, they would sigh for the luxurious Earth Palace crafted by the gathering of earthly products.

Rivers of metal and gemstones flowed towards the center of the underground chasm, encircling the center using some orderly runic method and then sent into farther tunnels.

All transport pathways were like this, illuminating the center gloriously.

There, a throne sat, just the gemstone adorning it was enough to convince everyone that it’s surely the throne of the Dwarf King.

"Why design it like this? Must these precious materials and creations be presented to him before moving to the next stage of production?" a Sky Knight asked.

"From the scenery we’ve seen along the way, perhaps their culture esteems minerals and prides in creations; the products of their land surround themselves. This encirclement is the symbol of Dwarf Civilization’s royal authority," Sif said at the side.

Her words gained appreciation from the Cloud Wanderer members who had no doubts about her.

Compared to others, Li Ang thought of something else.

Elaphia flew higher, so only Diao and Lily noticed his distraction. As they questioned him, Sif stealthily moved half a step closer.

"I was reflecting on how even the remnants of ancient Dwarves were like this; what were their ancestor Earth Spirits and ancient tribes’ domains like? It’s impossible to depict even a tenth of it by the Illusion Realm of Ten Thousand Spirits. This is Nebis, the former beauty of the fragmented world we reside in."

The two were reflective, but before they could say anything, Elaphia, initially heading toward the center, along with A Xiang soaring on Cloud Mist, discovered something.

"Come quickly and see!" A Xiang beckoned everyone.

Below the towering throne were circle upon circle of giant steps, each over twenty meters wide. Hence, the throne seemed to stand on a raised mound.

They discovered this in the middle step’s lower area, at the back of Throne Hill.

Before reaching there, Fafnir’s claw prints were everywhere, and as the object came into view, the first thing everyone knew was that it must be the most cherished talisman of this Demon Dragon.

The second piece of information stunned Li Ang, as if he sensed a surreal feeling, and beside him, Diao gasped softly.

As if mythology had materialized, a golden flying litter lay crosswise on the platform the Demon Dragon once wrecked. Its manufacturing and decorations were utterly luxurious, and despite numerous eras, the power brought by Source Material still surged magnificently as before.

"Great Witch, if I’m not mistaken..."

"Yes, it should be that Eternal King’s litter," Li Ang nodded.
