Chapter 1034: Chapter 505: The Fake Professor (Part 3)
"This, this is for greater benefits," the brown-haired Douding managed to smile.
"This indeed gives Miss Alma the upper hand..."
It seemed like A Xiang was about to say something along the lines of "if I get the Destiny Cold Wave, we would be on equal footing," but before he could, Li Ang had already presented the Zen Heart Flowing.
The balanced and calm Treasure Sword, with its inner force of waves appearing, immediately calmed the restless Passionate Talent down, and much of the blinding white light from the Shocking Divine Soul Light also dissipated.
When the three swords arrived together, their Spirituality and Magic Power intertwined, making it apparent to anyone with perceptive abilities that these weapons came from the same source. It seemed only natural that they were always mentioned together.
The appearance of the three swords caused the Sky Knights present to gasp softly.
"I admit defeat, I admit defeat!" A Xiang raised his hand.
He gripped the Bone-Deep Passion and Scorn’s hilt, letting its resonance settle down.
"The Treasure Artifacts in Farlonio’s Treasure Vault will satisfy you," Elaphia revealed a triumphant smile.
The legendary Divine Artisan’s Five Swords had already appeared four times, and it looked like the fifth sword would soon be gathered. Soon, everyone on the platform drew closer, hoping to catch a glimpse of these swords, possibly the only chance they would get.
The Sky Knights outside Cloudwalkers Guild had been summoned; initially, they didn’t feel entitled to any share, only considering how much reward they could get from what Cloud Wanderer offered.
But now, it seemed Li Ang’s group would have to provide, yet neither the lady of wealth nor the businessman present, Li Ang, Diao, and Lily, were quite impoverished, leaving them no room to contribute.
"Alas."
Even knowing he would struggle to compete, A Xiang seemed slightly reluctant, appearing to calculate how to make a deal.
At this moment, a golden orange-haired young girl wearing glasses approached from the side.
"Mr. A Xiang, have you forgotten that technically, I also have a say in the distribution?" the young girl said.
"How could I forget? Professor Zelas, I thought we were on the same side," A Xiang laughed.
Despite saying this, Li Ang and the two Doudings beside him exchanged glances, all sharing the same thought: he either forgot, or he was playing dumb.
Normally, when an employer issues a commission, the spoils obtained by Adventurers relying on their prowess aren’t considered the employer’s, unless these spoils are highly related to the commission or the entire journey’s expenses were covered by the employer.
From the dialogue, it’s clear that the young girl chose to offer only a high reward, leaving the exploration’s costs up to the task takers to plan out. Although Cloud Wanderer had already gained substantial rewards, generally speaking, employers wouldn’t dare to tangle with the Celestial Group.
Sif seemed either as if she left the Thousand Tower City for the first time, naive and ignorant of worldly matters, or she was simply unafraid.
Li Ang still had a doubt: issuing a task to the Celestial Group isn’t cheap, and Viel cannot possibly use his savings for his daughter to do this—where did her funds come from?
"I think gathering the Five Swords is a good idea. If you feel Miss Alma’s reward isn’t enough, perhaps we can explore together the Divine Artisan’s Treasure Vault opened by the five swords. At least for me, I’m quite interested."
"Professor Zelas’s words conveyed her desire to follow Li Ang and the others to their next adventure."
"Of course, that can only be said after entering the Dwarf Imperial Palace in the Golden Country." She stuck out her tongue playfully.
"Hmm, the Destiny Cold Wave is just incidental; there are bound to be many treasures there," A Xiang nodded.
"What is in there?" Li Ang asked the young girl with glasses.
Sif Taube coming here, her true goal should be that palace; Li Ang sensed she possibly knew what the secret treasure was.
