The surveillance system in the prison cell recorded everything he said. After a long while, he asked again, "Why did the Monarch want to kill me?"

"Did he want to devour my spiritual power, too?"

Wen Sen had always worked under the Monarch, and the two were also distantly related by blood. On the surface, they didn’t seem to interact much day-to-day, but in truth, Wen Sen was closer to the Monarch than he was to his own older brother.

"Why? We’re both his sons. Why was he so determined to kill me?"

Wen Sen glanced at him. "Because you’re not as ruthless as Ye Yan. The Monarch wanted his successor to share his ideals. He tried to groom you once, but you’re too sentimental. And with the Dean holding you back, you weren’t the true candidate he was looking for."

However, Wen Sen didn’t think much of Ye Yan either. Though Ye Yan was more ruthless than Ye Ming, he was far less intelligent.

"If that’s the case, why didn’t he just kill me directly? Why go to the trouble of developing Chao Si to make my spiritual power collapse?"

Regarding this point, Wen Sen didn’t know either. The Monarch wouldn’t have told him everything.

He shook his head.

Afterward, Ye Ming asked a few more questions, only giving up when there was nothing left to ask.

As he walked out of the prison cell, Wen Sen couldn’t help but speak up. "Eldest Prince, may I ask... what kind of punishment will I receive?"

Ye Ming’s steps faltered. He glanced back at him. "Wen Sen, you have broken the law. Harming and coercing females alone is enough to have you executed a hundred times over."

Wen Sen knew he couldn’t escape death, so he wasn’t disappointed. Instead, he asked, "And my son? Will he be affected in any way?"

Ye Ming sneered. "Did you think about your son when you were committing your crimes?"

"Rest assured, Wen Te wasn’t involved, so he won’t be implicated. However, he and his next three generations will be barred from military service. Furthermore, because your crimes included harming females, there’s a possibility your descendants will be affected by your legacy. The Empire’s Civil Affairs Bureau will advise your son’s wife to divorce him. Your own marriage to your wife is hereby terminated, and all your personal assets will be transferred to her."

Hearing this, a trace of panic finally appeared on Wen Sen’s face. His son and his wife had a decent relationship. If she was persuaded to divorce him, his son would surely hate him forever. And joining the military was his son’s goal...

He dropped to his knees in a frantic panic, begging, "Eldest Prince, I beg you, please spare my son! He knew nothing about any of this."

Ye Ming pressed his lips into a thin line. Without another word, he left without a moment’s hesitation.

After collecting the confessions of Captain Xing, Wen Sen, and the others, Ye Ming laid out the evidence of the Monarch’s crimes and released it to the entire interstellar network.

The interstellar public was in an uproar upon learning the news. Anti-Monarch organizations were quickly formed online, demanding the Monarch step down immediately and that Ye Ming take his place.

Once the Sky Eye intelligence system confirmed the Monarch’s crimes were real, it automatically pinpointed his location. Unfortunately, the signal was cut off just seconds after it appeared.

Evidently, the Monarch had dug out and destroyed his chip to prevent being tracked. Dr. Ai was likewise untraceable.

The military tribunal immediately issued a warrant for their arrest. And so, the entire population spontaneously joined in the search.

During this time, all the adults who had participated in the past crimes were sentenced to death by firing squad. Those whose crimes were particularly heinous were executed by hanging. The public rejoiced at the sight of justice being served.

As for the minors, the time for their collective execution had not yet arrived, pending the decision of the females who were confirmed as their biological mothers through genetic testing.

After dealing with the criminals, the remaining tasks were to find the Monarch and Dr. Ai, and to address the matter of the pregnant females at Zhenxin Hospital.

Ye Ming wasn’t sure how to handle the situation with these females. ’In my opinion, none of the children they carry should be brought to term. However, the decision ultimately rests with the females themselves; it isn’t my place to say.’

Fortunately, they cherished their own lives more than the children.

They had all become pregnant through fertility drugs. This medication had severe side effects, and giving birth could prove fatal. Having just escaped their cages and returned to their own world, they didn’t want to miss out on the beautiful lives that lay ahead.

However, their physical condition during pregnancy was still too poor. The procedures required someone with more experience. In the end, it was the Dean who personally performed the abortions one by one, with Shi Lan assisting. Jiang Yan came as well.

She knew Shi Lan was still shaken after everything that had happened recently, so she decided to stick with her sister. She was determined to join the Dean’s Zhenxin Hospital, no matter what. That way, if anything happened, she could be there to protect her.

After he became Emperor, he unexpectedly discovered the Black Star butler robot in the master bedroom of the main palace. This was the same robot that had served the Prison Director. It contained records from the Prison Director’s office from various periods, including the part concerning Shi Lan.

Ye Ming then understood. When they had dealt with the robots before, they had somehow missed the one in the Prison Director’s office. Seeing the scene in the robot’s memory database of Shi Lan playing with her green mushroom spirit body, he finally understood why his father had so accurately given Shi Lan that specific hairpin the first time.

Ye Ming silently saved this part of Shi Lan’s memory to his personal chip and deleted the record from the robot. He then continued scrolling back through the memories of the other Prison Directors. Over the past three years, although these people had come and gone quickly, not staying long on Black Star, he had committed all of their faces to memory.

As he watched, Ye Ming discovered that someone in the records had contacted Ye Yan.

He had almost forgotten about his younger brother.

Ye Ming began investigating the files of the past Prison Directors of Black Star again. Some time had passed, but as the new Emperor, he wielded far greater power. As long as he wanted to find something, there was nothing he couldn’t uncover.

Soon, he discovered that, with the exception of Shi Lan, the past Prison Directors had indeed been sent by different people. Some of them truly had murderous intentions toward him and his group, while others were simply carrying out petty revenge, like in the case of Mu Tangfeng, who had made many enemies. There were even some who had snuck in just to "check in," like taking a photo with an idol.

The people behind this weren’t just the Bai Family and Ye Yan; most of them were the former Monarch’s men.

After filtering through them, Ye Ming gathered more evidence and sentenced each person according to their crimes. He arrested, fined, or executed them as they deserved—not a single one was missed.

The Bai Family and Ye Yan felt like their world was collapsing.
