SUMMARY

“If you wake them, I will kill them. Nod if you understand.”

There are zero good reasons for a masked man to be standing over your bed at three in the morning.

It was the night before the Helix Mandate. One test. Three outcomes: mated, sold, or sterilized.

Slaves always fail.

Except one.

Nova Grey is a slave in Alpha Starborne's manor. Silver cuffs. No wolf. A nobody.

But the night before the Helix Mandate, a masked man abducts her. Gags her. Drugs her. She wakes up like it never happened with rope burns and no answers.

Twelve hours later, Nova is standing on sand in the arena and does something no one expected: she scores a 99.9 in silver cuffs.

The crowd chants her name like a war cry.

Alpha Starborne watches his slave humiliate his daughter and gives Nova a max-voltage shock through her silver cuffs. She hits the ground convulsing. Starborne tells the crowd she is having an episode.

Across the stadium, Alpha Landon Thunderfang clears the railing.

WHUMP.

Sixty-foot drop. Boots hit sand. Alpha physics. The most eligible bachelor in Helix just superhero-landed on holy sand in a glowing suit for a slave.

Three seconds later, his brother, Derek Thunderfang clears the same railing.

Derek walks past the Starborne Princess and says, “Hang in there, champ.”

She grabs Derek's arm.

He looks down at it, then back up at her. “Let go of me before I light you up like your daddy's doing to that slave.”

“You wouldn't dare. That goes against every Alpha protocol and is an act of war,” the princess hisses.

Derek grins. “Alpha protocols? Love those. Don't apply to me. Wrong Thunderfang, Sparky.”

“My father will hear of this.”

“Great news. So will ten thousand other people. Everybody wave to the princess.”

The audience waves. The princess lets go immediately. Derek doesn't look back, already sliding into place next to Landon.

“REMOVE THE SILVER,” Landon demands.

Alpha Starborne wants his property back. She's the centerpiece of an Underground auction. Her new price? Six million and climbing.

The elders want her dead. A slave who beat the system is their biggest problem.

Two Thunderfang brothers just want her. One protected her in front of ten thousand wolves. The other has been protecting her behind the scenes and she'll never know.

There are zero good reasons for a masked man to be standing over your bed at three in the morning. Unless he's already watched you die and came back to stop it.

Keeping her alive was the mission. Falling in love was never part of the plan.
