Chapter 2868: Going Back Tomorrow

Li Mingxi was still holding up her phone. "Come on, strike a handsome pose."

Xiao Lang raised his hand, lightly stroked his chin, and showed what he thought was his most charming, handsome smile.

Li Mingxi snapped another picture. "One more."

Under Li Mingxi’s instructions, Xiao Lang did several very stylish, very cool poses.

When Li Mingxi finished taking pictures, she was laughing so hard she couldn’t straighten her back.

"What are you laughing at?" Xiao Lang asked, confused.

Li Mingxi put away her phone, holding back her laughter. "Nothing. I’m going downstairs to order food. You go wash up."

With that, she hurriedly slipped out.

Xiao Lang fell silent for a moment, feeling that something was off. He immediately got out of bed and headed to the bathroom.

Standing in front of the sink, Xiao Lang looked at himself in the mirror and almost lost his breath.

In the mirror, he was wearing bright red lipstick, with eyeshadow on his eyelids.

His cheeks had been smeared with blush, two bright red patches even redder than a monkey’s butt.

Even more horrifying, his hair had actually been tied into several little spiky ponytails, like a hedgehog’s quills.

Looking like this, he could literally scare a ghost back to life.

Li Mingxi had actually pranked him like this!

And she even took so many photos of him!

Xiao Lang was both pissed and amused.

In the end, he just let out a helpless laugh; aside from wanting to laugh, he didn’t feel much of anything else.

Xiao Lang washed his face, then took a shower. He had just changed clothes when Li Mingxi called him.

She told him to come downstairs to eat, said the food was already ordered and served.

Xiao Lang went down to the restaurant and spotted Li Mingxi’s table at a glance.

He walked toward her and saw that Li Mingxi was on the phone.

"I’ll come find you tomorrow, we’ll talk then, okay?"

"Mm, I’ll hang up then, bye."

Xiao Lang sat down across from her. "Whose call was that?"

"Li Qian’s." Li Mingxi didn’t hide it from him.

Xiao Lang froze for a second. His mood, which had been perfectly fine, suddenly tanked.

Li Mingxi looked at him and said, "Let’s head back tomorrow morning."

"Yeah." Xiao Lang nodded, his expression fairly blank.

Li Mingxi urged him to eat. During the meal, Xiao Lang was still in a lousy mood, but he didn’t show much of it.

After they finished eating, it was already getting dark.

The whole day had basically been spent with Xiao Lang being sick.

That night, after Li Mingxi packed their luggage, she went to shower and then climbed into bed.

Unlike usual, that night Xiao Lang only held her and didn’t do anything else, but he barely slept the entire night.

No matter how much he didn’t want it, the sky still brightened.

Xiao Lang sighed. Time really is the most heartless thing; it won’t slow down even a little...

Li Mingxi sleepily opened her eyes. "It’s morning already? What time is it?"

It was six thirty. Their flight was at nine in the morning.

Xiao Lang flipped over and pressed her beneath him. "It’s still early, we’ve got time for some morning exercise!"

As he spoke, he sealed her lips with a kiss, his big hand slipping under her nightgown.

Li Mingxi had just woken up, her brain still foggy. Caught off guard, Xiao Lang had already pulled her gown halfway off.

His burning mouth wandered over her chest, and Li Mingxi felt her whole body heating up.

But this was definitely not the time for making love.

Li Mingxi shoved him away hard. "Quit messing around, we have a flight to catch!"

"It’s still early..."

"Early my ass, we still have to eat breakfast!"

"You’re my breakfast..."

"Get up!"

No matter how shamelessly Xiao Lang clung to her, Li Mingxi firmly pushed him off, absolutely refusing to fool around at a time like this.

If they missed the flight, she’d be dying of frustration.
