Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 2747: I Prefer Children and Scenery
The little baby in the cradle was unimpressed, glanced at her, and closed his eyes to continue sleeping, looking as if she had disturbed him.
Little Clementine pouted, wondering why he wouldn’t play with her.
She wanted to play with him!
“Alright, Little Clementine, let’s go out and let your brother sleep.”
“No…” Little Clementine refused.
Jasmine Yale still carried her out.
Although the scenery outside was bleak, it didn’t make one feel lonely.
Everywhere you could see elderly people sitting in the sun, and orphans playing in the dirt. On their faces, there was no despair, but rather calm and comfort.
More than an hour later, she saw a few students from Jingcheng University.
Two boys and two girls, carrying quite a lot of things.
They distributed the items to the children in the orphanage, who sat obediently, waiting for their allocation.
Since not many young people came here, their arrival became a bright spot, and many villagers came to watch, all with curious eyes.
Jasmine introduced the village and the orphanage to them. The two girls were impatient and kept complaining along the way about “why they couldn’t even connect to the internet.”
Jasmine smiled and explained to them: “There’s no signal here, so you can’t connect to the internet. If necessary, there’s an old computer, the village’s only one, in Principal Warner’s office, and you can go online once a week.”
The two tall boys were quite patient and also explained to them: “Don’t think about going online here, just do something.”
“But we’re here for social practice so we can write our papers when we go back, not for volunteering.” The girl complained, “Many things don’t need to be done personally, right? Wouldn’t it be enough if Teacher Yale explained to us, and we could use it in our papers when we go back?”
Jasmine calmly said: “The conditions here aren’t very good; it’s normal if you want to leave. Whatever you need, I’ll help you with it.”
“Teacher Yale, just explain the basic situation here to us, then help us write the comments for our social practice, and have Principal Warner stamp it. Thank you, Sister Yale!” The two quirky girls stuck their tongues out at Jasmine.
Jasmine was older than them; she smiled and didn’t criticize them.
The pampered young girls weren’t used to it, which was normal.
The fact that they came and brought so many things for the children was quite thoughtful, she felt.
Jasmine walked with them, explaining the basic situation of the orphanage, including the children’s teaching methods, courses, everyday habits, and lifestyle. She explained meticulously, and the four students listened attentively.
The boys didn’t talk much, following Jasmine and listening.
The girls asked more questions, occasionally asking Jasmine something.
“Teacher Yale, you look so young, why did you come here? Do you really not like going online, shopping, or going out with friends for drinks and barbeque?”
Jasmine had a peaceful smile on her face: “I’m not particularly fond of those, I prefer children and scenery.”
“I see, but Teacher Yale, your clothes look like they’re from big brands. Even though this coat is last year’s style, it’s from Gucci, right? I have a bit of research on fashion; I also fancied this piece last year but couldn’t bring myself to buy it. Teacher Yale, you look great in it, your figure is fantastic.” The girl laughed cheerfully.
