Fated love: the unwanted bride

Chapter 2732: Never to Meet Again in This Life

But the competition between companies is something she doesn’t pay much attention to; there’s too much behind-the-scenes manipulation and unspoken rules.

She knows kids shouldn’t be watching this kind of news, so she carries Little Clementine away.

When Little Clementine is asleep, she chats leisurely with Butler Santana while making dumplings.

Butler Santana knows that Jasmine Yale has changed quite a lot in the past couple of years, especially after having a child; her mind is entirely focused on the child.

"Miss Yale, I still can’t bear to part with you and Little Clementine. Can’t you take me with you? I can take care of you both."

"Butler Santana, your future is still long, and you’re still young. You have no obligation to me," Jasmine Yale politely declines, "I will take good care of Little Clementine, don’t worry."

"Will we meet again in the future?"

"Probably."

Jasmine Yale wraps the dumplings, unsure herself.

Actually, the chances of her going to Lonton in the future aren’t big. She wrote a letter to Chale Cheney’s master, hoping that one day the master would bring Chale Cheney to Sylvan Cheney.

Chale Cheney’s biological mother is not in this world anyway; following her or Erin Janus makes no difference.

Perhaps when Little Clementine grows up, she will take the little one to travel to Lonton, but only for travel.

So regarding the future, she can’t be sure.

"Miss Yale, I do really want to see Little Clementine when she grows up. No matter what, let me see her, please."

"If there’s an opportunity, I will."

"Alright, alright," Butler Santana nods repeatedly, "Miss Yale, what will you do when you move to Conada? If you work during the day, what will happen to Little Clementine?"

"I will think it all through; there won’t be any trouble."

"Then... will you find a dad for Little Clementine?"

"Little Clementine doesn’t have memory yet; I will find her a dad. Having a dad who loves her is better than anything."

"Things will get better," Butler Santana doesn’t say much more.

"Things will get better."

The autumn night falls quickly, and the wind outside blows non-stop all day.

At night, the house is filled with warmth and joy, just like always.

Jasmine Yale and Butler Santana sit by the table eating dumplings, the TV is on, playing cartoons.

Little Clementine sits alone on the thick carpet, sometimes crawling around, sometimes watching the cartoons, sometimes holding her toys and playing by herself.

This home still feels very cozy, even the lights are warm. But Jasmine Yale has packed everything that needs to go.

She sells or donates what should be sold or donated, but keeps the pair of big and small dolls.

Those two dolls aren’t worth any money, but they are indeed cute, Little Clementine loves hugging them to sleep, so she kept them.

Other than that, there are only her and Little Clementine’s clothes and personal items left.

This meal, Butler Santana eats with a heavy heart, unable to stop sighing inwardly.

Some goodbyes might never be met again in this lifetime.

Jasmine Yale never even told her where she’s settling down, so even if she wanted to see Jasmine Yale and Little Clementine in the future, she would be powerless.

Jasmine Yale shows no emotion, her face calm, eating, chatting, soothing Little Clementine, as if she’s not about to leave.

After finishing the dumplings, Jasmine Yale accompanies Little Clementine on the carpet, playing with her and building blocks.

In the kitchen, Butler Santana occasionally spaces out, watching them in a daze from the living room; this is the last night she can accompany them. Tomorrow morning, Jasmine Yale’s plane will fly to another unfamiliar place, and she won’t be returning to UT.
