Cakago.

The weather is getting colder, yet Little Clementine is becoming more mischievous.

Jasmine Yale put a soft yellow sweater on her, and the little one looked adorable, all soft and cuddly.

Jasmine Yale snatched her phone back from her, giving her a stern look: "Adults are making calls, are you trying to cause trouble?"

Little Clementine grinned wide, not feeling like she was being scolded at all, her small hands rubbed against Jasmine Yale’s clothes and neck, burrowing into her arms.

"Clingy little girl." Jasmine Yale doted on her.

Little Clementine is starting to show curiosity about many things; when she sees something interesting, she’ll ask Jasmine Yale about it and sometimes even blurts out a few unclear words.

Little Clementine is very smart, learning things faster than other kids; whatever Jasmine Yale teaches her, she learns quickly.

The sky in Cakago is also gloomy with thick clouds, as if a heavy rain could fall at any moment.

Jasmine Yale didn’t take Little Clementine outside, holding her while standing by the window.

Even when she was very little, she loved to cling to the window and look outside, and as she grew older, that didn’t change.

As soon as she reaches the window, she places her little hands on the glass, blinking her big dark eyes curiously.

"Mom..." from time to time, the little one calls out to Jasmine Yale.

Whenever she calls, Jasmine Yale feels a surge of warmth and can’t help but kiss her, rubbing her little head: "Mom is here."

Little Clementine looks very happy, clinging onto Jasmine Yale’s neck and gazing out the window.

"Miss Yale, the suitcases are packed, do you really have to go to Conada?" Butler Santana walked in, worry etched on his face like the cloudy sky outside.

Jasmine Yale nods.

Little Clementine turned around as soon as she saw Butler Santana come in.

Butler Santana sighed, ultimately remaining silent.

In fact, she has asked Jasmine Yale this question several times already, she was just unwilling to give up.

Once Jasmine Yale leaves, she too will have to leave Cakago and go to Lonton.

From now on, they’ll be worlds apart.

She is very reluctant to part with Jasmine Yale and Little Clementine.

But what else can be done...

Butler Santana ultimately didn’t say anything more and left the bedroom.

Jasmine Yale lowered her head, looking at her daughter’s innocent little face.

She didn’t mean to deceive Butler Santana, she just truly wanted to leave with her daughter, to go somewhere nobody knows about.

All these years she’s lived without desires, but she doesn’t want Little Clementine to get hurt.

Sylvan Cheney’s world is one she couldn’t enter, so she just wishes to avoid it calmly.

"Mom..." Little Clementine noticed her distraction and wrapped her little arms around her neck.

Jasmine Yale snapped back to reality, smiling at Little Clementine: "Why are you calling mom, huh?"

"Play..." the little one babbled in her soft voice.

Jasmine Yale held Little Clementine, feeling very happy; this little one is especially smart.

She took Little Clementine around the balcony, then brought her to bed, reading her storybooks and teaching her to look at pictures.

A child’s world is very simple, even the simplest things can keep her happy for a long time.

Jasmine Yale enjoys being with Little Clementine; it’s much more relaxing than working, especially not having to learn to handle complex interpersonal relationships.

She patiently teaches Little Clementine, even when Little Clementine ran out of patience, she remained patient.

"Miss Yale." Butler Santana came in once again, "What do you want to eat tonight?"

"Dumplings, please, to have your dumplings one last time; they’re delicious."
