Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 2718: Took Her Several Times
Erin Janus had already thrown all caution to the wind, no longer caring that this would completely set Sylvan Cheney off.
Her heart was so rattled it was shaking, her features twisted, and she felt as if the whole world were collapsing around her.
"Sylvan Cheney, for all you know she’s still under some man right now having the time of her life. Look at you—throwing away power, status, a complete family, just to like some slutty little vixen! So damn stupid." Erin cursed wildly, fury at its peak; she didn’t care about her image or dignity anymore.
"Erin, should I remind you that you’ve deliberately hurt her many times? The worst was when you found some UT bar owner who almost raped her. I have evidence for all of it. In the past, those ’little things’ might not have been a threat to you, but once the Janus Family falls, that’s when everyone kicks a man when he’s down—one straw will be enough to crush you."
"Didn’t I say you still have her in your heart, still can’t let her go? I forced you to be with me; you’ve never been willing, and even now that I’m pregnant with your daughter, you’re probably still thinking about her and that little bastard of hers! Sylvan Cheney, is playing the doting daddy that much fun? Can’t tell—your own flesh and blood you don’t want, but you want some kid whose father nobody even knows. What a joke. Have you forgotten how terrible her reputation was in college? The father of that daughter of hers—she probably doesn’t even know who it is herself!"
"And you’re so clear on who your daughter’s father is?" Sylvan’s lips suddenly hooked into a vicious smile.
"Of course I—" Erin’s eyes suddenly flew wide open as she stared at Sylvan in disbelief. "You, you, what did you say? Sylvan Cheney, what are you talking about? Say it clearly! My daughter... you’d better fucking make yourself clear!"
Erin was like someone who didn’t care about living anymore; she violently flung off Sylvan’s hand, trying to break free from his grip!
But Sylvan caught her arm and wouldn’t let her throw a tantrum.
Erin tried to claw at Sylvan with her fingernails, but Sylvan didn’t let her succeed either!
Kieran Janus was stunned too. "Cheney, what the hell are you doing?! What did you say, what do you mean?!"
Kieran strode toward Sylvan, trying to pull his daughter back.
Erin was like a madwoman, kicking at Sylvan, her hair a mess, eyes razor sharp, her face as white as paper.
What was he saying? Did he even know what he was saying?!
If the child in her belly wasn’t his, then whose was it?
The moment that question hit her, Erin felt as if a bolt of lightning had struck—every drop of blood drained from her face.
The baby...
That night, at the hotel!
She’d gone back to the hotel half drunk that night. In the middle of the night, when you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face and the alcohol still hadn’t worn off, someone pressed down on her, wanting her.
In a daze, she’d felt her whole body burning, like she’d been set on fire, and half pushing, half yielding, she’d ended up sleeping with that man.
The man was fierce—he took her several times. She was exhausted from being ravaged like that, and with the alcohol on top of it, she fell asleep right after they were done.
The next morning, she saw Sylvan Cheney in the hotel room, already dressed and standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling window.
Her hand bumped into a cold watch under the covers; wrapped in the quilt, she pulled it out and saw it was Sylvan’s watch.
She remembered what had happened in the night, her face flushing halfway up as she couldn’t help staring at Sylvan’s strong back for a long time—the more she looked, the better he looked.
Her body was covered in hickeys, and she didn’t know where to put herself, shy and flustered.
It wasn’t her first time, but it was her first time with Sylvan—and more than that, Sylvan was the man she liked.
