Fated love: the unwanted bride
Chapter 2605: No Way... I’m Tough to Kill
Will Caddel felt an indescribable sensation in his heart as he looked at Jasmine Yale, observing her face and expression from up close.
Jasmine Yale smiled lightly, "CEO Caddel, is there any chance we can win the bid? If not, I can go talk to their manager again — it’s still early anyway."
"You’ve already changed your clothes, what are you going back for?" Will Caddel supported her. "There’s definitely a chance, but the competition is fierce, so it’s hard to say. I can’t give you a definite answer."
"Then I can still try..." Jasmine Yale looked at him with burning eyes, filled with hope.
"I’ll escort you back to the hotel first. You’ve had alcohol and are injured, you can’t talk to them now. Once you’re back at the hotel, I’ll ensure to help you fight for it, so your winning rate remains hundred percent, okay?"
Jasmine Yale laughed like a child, feeling very happy.
Although every bidding meeting had Will Caddel’s help, she truly fulfilled her responsibilities each time and indeed secured each bid.
From the initial confusion and uncertainty to now handling everything on her own, she was fortunate to see the future and hope...
She was very persistent about the word "hope," and many times, these two words became her greatest courage in life.
Jasmine Yale finally nodded in compliance.
Will Caddel supported her as they exited the banquet, calling on the venue’s waiter to help him drive while he sat in the back with Jasmine Yale.
In the back seat, he lifted Jasmine Yale’s hand, frowning, "The skin is scraped; don’t touch water."
"I know, I’m not a child."
"I’ll take you to the hospital for some treatment."
"No need, this little injury is nothing."
"Little injury? Nothing? So, if this doesn’t count, what does?"
Jasmine Yale was silent, not answering Will Caddel, only displaying a casual and indifferent smile.
"Again, take good care of yourself. Don’t hurt yourself over things or people not worth it; otherwise, you’ll disappoint those who hope you stay well." Will Caddel patiently spoke in the darkness.
Jasmine Yale nodded.
The car moved through the night.
The manor was located at the secluded foot of the mountain, and beyond it lay a wide concrete road. Streetlights were bright along the road, with blooming flowers and plants captivating even at night.
Will Caddel first took her to the hospital to treat the wounds, discovering her knees were also scraped badly.
"CEO Caddel, here, the documents." Jasmine Yale handed a folder to Will Caddel, her hand wrapped with a circle of gauze.
With gauze, it was inconvenient to move, and most importantly, it greatly affected her appearance, she felt rather helpless.
"Okay." Will Caddel took it, "Let’s go, I’ll take you back to the hotel."
In the car, Jasmine Yale kept muttering, "Thankfully it’s my left hand that’s injured; if it were the right hand, I wouldn’t even be able to eat. Really, there’s no need for gauze; it’s not bleeding, just scraped."
"What if it gets infected? What if your hand becomes useless? Hmm?"
"It won’t... I have a big fate."
Will Caddel chuckled; it was the first time he’d heard anyone evaluate themselves like that, a big fate?
The drunk Jasmine Yale had a blush on her face, like the afterglow of the sunset, subtly visible in the darkness, resembling peach blossoms immersed in a spring breeze.
Will Caddel stared at her for a long time, while Jasmine Yale kept her head down, looking at the gauze on her hand, seemingly dissatisfied, her lips pouting.
The car turned a corner, driving back from the hospital to the hotel.
Will Caddel supported her as they headed upstairs.
